I truly believe and can honestly respectfully say that this skill nursing does train their employees in sensitive training. In the Activities Department have done their research when it comes to the residents, patients or as they in the Healthcare Department looks at us as clients. The Activities Director Eric and his staff Myna, Shalimar, Akansha, & Ashley uses three important actions to promote multicultural communication. which are the values of different cultures. They recognize barriers to multicultural communications and have developed techniques that build and foster multicultural communication. Due to the diverse community with the many different culture's backgrounds. No matter if your Asian, Caucasian, Black, Puerto Rican, Filipino,Black,Red or even Blue etc. you are well respected & treated as you should be treated, a person an individual. The loving and caring activities Group as a whole; help each of us break away from the cares of life & motive us to smile, laugh & forget some of a pain and suffering, even if it's just for a couple of hours, 1hour, for a few minutes or just for 1 moment of the day. They show us the kind of love family ought to give when a lot us have no real family to spend time and bond with. when I say activities there are many not few, from Bingo, to Arts & Crafts, Cross word, puzzles, Coloring, Painting, Sculpturing, Ring Toss, Bowling, Hangman, circle words, to plain ole watching tv, Movies and popcorn, to raffling winnings to have our own little store to use our raffling ticket winning. The ladies can even come and get their nails done by the Activities staff. There are really truly many more activities. From janitorial were they keep the center very clean, next to godliness to housekeeping who makes sure you have the proper linen and bathroom toiletries you need. Then have CNA to ensure your well taken care of if you need a shower to aa diaper change while the NURSES are here for your medical wellbeing and on call Docters for case and emergency. With that said you can NEVER go wrong being here @ Hayward Healthcare & Wellness Center. You can't forget you must Know that physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy will get you back to your normal self & back on your feet. Tremile Saint Thompson Room 24 A. She saw when we would visit our LO that we were struggling. He has Advanced Dementia, and she took the time to explain to us, what we would be going through. She explained to us that her own Father went through the same thing, so she knew what we were going through. Leila also answerd our questions we had, which we had many, she made us feel not guilty for leaving our LO there, she made us see that it was the best thing for him, since he would be looked after 24 seven, which is the care he needs. Leila your the best and we truly, truly appreciate you your an Angel in disguise ! YOUR SIMPLY THE BEST !!!

Hayward Healthcare & Wellness Center - I waited almost 1 hour and nobody at the desk. Not one person walked down the hall or came out of any rooms.

They did the best they can to make accommodations and help my patient become more independent. She is able to get discharged today after a month of staying there recovering from a hip fracture. She was there for more than 4.5 years till her passing in Dec 2021, in her late 80's. We can't be grateful enough to the entire staff (from Management/ Administration to floor staff, in all the shifts), who made this facility a home away from home during her entire stay there and welcomed our family with warmth, any time of the day, even multiple times in a day. Not only did they take care of her physical needs, but also provided her technical help to use her cell phone / tablet so she could attend and listen to spiritual discourses, to nurture her soul too!! Some of the staff are fluent in some of the Indian languages, in particular Hindi, that made it easy for our mom to communicate. The entire staff (CNA, LVN, therapists, Social Services, Activities Room, Kitchen, Front Desk, Facility/Equipment/Grounds, etc.) is very caring, warm and considerate. Even during Covid, they did their best, in spite of shortage of staff, personal risks, and all other challenges and issues of dealing with a very dangerous and deadly pandemic. After the new owner and management took over this facility and renamed it, we continue to visit the facility periodically, to express our gratitude. We also continue to refer this facility to our friends for their loved ones. Some of the same staff still work there, remember our mom fondly and always welcome us. The facility is spacious, airy, bright, with all rooms having windows, and a nice garden outside, for walks, family gatherings, and occasional celebrations for the staff and residents. In summary, we are very happy and continue to recommend this facility to our friends for their family members, even after 4+ years because they have continued to maintain the same standard of care, per our occasional drop-in visits. When we drive by this facility, it warms our hearts! Though the rating we gave is 4 stars, it certainly exceeds that, and the facility continues to strive to get better. With heartfelt gratitude, Amlani family

From the first day, the nurses were attentive and patient, even when the unit was clearly busy. Call lights were answered in a reasonable amount of time, and whenever we had questions, someone took the time to explain things instead of rushing us off the phone. That meant a lot. The therapy team was especially impressive. They pushed my family member to work hard but were encouraging and positive the whole time. We saw real progress week by week, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Is it a brand-new luxury facility? No. But it was clean, organized, and most importantly, the staff treated my loved one with dignity and kindness. That's what mattered most to us. I know skilled nursing facilities can get a bad reputation, but our experience here was genuinely positive. I'm grateful to the nurses, CNAs, and therapy team for the care they provided.

When I finally reached her case worker I was told to call her social security worker, Carol. Carol told me to meet with her physical therapy team and nurses to understand her care and discharge plan. After the PT team did not show for the appointment, I rescheduled. They met and said that Carol was managing the discharge plan. The. I was told to speak with a nurse. I was constantly sent from one person to another. They seemed very disorganized and I couldn't accomplish anything over the phone and when I was onsite, it still took forever to find someone that knew what was going on. As for care, she contracted pneumonia while there. They tried to discharge her with it, which her insurance objected to. They told me that she would be going home in 48hrs. Then she died. While the EMT's were trying to revive my mother, a nurse from the facility called and asked me what I wanted to do with her body. They didn't bother getting this info upfront and I was forced to send her to their default mortuary. When I called to ask to collect her belongings they told me they had to find them. They may have been thrown out. She was 72. Walked 8 miles every day. This is not a place to send loved ones.

What made it all worse was that Windsor called me around 12pm to tell me mom fell at 4am. They said they were trying to make the bleeding stop and the ambulance would come pick her up at 12:30pm. They quickly hung up. I was left wondering why did it take them 8 hours to stop the bleeding? Then the ER Dr. told me Windsor said it was a surface cut but the Dr said that was not true, mom needed 20 stitches for multiple lacerations. The Dr told me she spoke with Windsor staff letting them know that when an elderly patient falls they must immediately go to ER. You'd think Windsor would already know this. This all made our family so uncomfortable, I asked that she was not released back to Windsor.
