We were told to try this place, and as our first stop of the trip, after a 15-hour plane ride and nearly 24 hours from our last full meal, with empty stomachs and determined hearts, we landed here. "Order," they said, "and go have a pint across the street. We'll bring your food over." And God bless, they did. While we waited for our food just steps away at the local pub, drinking our first of many pints of Guinness that week, we spoke to locals and learned about the town. And when the food came -- I'm telling you, it was the best damn Indian food I've ever had. We ate here three more times before leaving two days later for our next stop -- and left happy as larks each time. It's been nearly three months, and I swear -- I'd go back just to stop into this wonderful little hole in the wall again.

For example, we had to ask them to bring water to the table, our dishes were put on the table without serving spoons, we had to ask for an extra plate since we told her we were sharing but I think she forgot. Food also came out a bit slow. Overall - they were extremely accommodating. There was a mix up with our order and they happily corrected it and replaced it with something we could eat. The food was tasty, the interior was welcoming and warm, and everyone serviced us very kindly. Portions were extremely generous, we ate lunch and dinner! I would definitely come back here :)

The ambiance is quite nice. We were seated where the windows are so we got a good view of the street. We ordered the butter chicken, sag paneer (spinach and cheese), with 2 orders of naan bread and 1 order of cheese naan I can tell the chicken in the butter chicken was added after the sauce was cooked. The chicken didn't have the typical flavour that butter chicken have when the meat is cooked with the sauce. Also the butter chicken sauce was a bit too sweet for me and too creamy. The sag paneer on the other hand was a hit for me. This dish felt like a genuine traditional Indian dish. The spice was just right and not oily. Another plus for me was the service. The waiter / waitresses kept an eye on us to make sure we were happy. Overall, the ambiance, views, and service was great. One mark off on the butter chicken but the other food dishes were excellent. Our airbnb host suggested this place and I'm so glad she did - the food is fantastic. We ordered the chicken tikka karahi and chicken tikka madras. The madras was spicier and the veggies were more finely blended. The meals came with drinks, rice, hard naan and dipping sauces. I didn't care for the sauces, which were a sweet mustard and diced onions. We also ordered a garlic naan, which was very good and great for dipping in our meals. We ordered takeout, so I can't speak to the table service. However, the restaurant was nicely decorated. We waited about 15 minutes for our food and during that time a couple of locals came in to place orders. The total cost for our meal was €27. This place is a gem!
