Emirates Airline is undoubtedly my top choice for international travel. Whenever I travel outside the United States, I choose Emirates without hesitation, and they never disappoint. Emirates flights at LAX operate from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), which is accessible via Terminal 2. I recently flew with Emirates from Los Angeles to Dhaka, and the experience was excellent. The flight was very comfortable. The food and drinks were of good quality and HALAL. I highly recommend arriving with an appetite - the food was exceptional, and the selection of drinks offered great variety. Beer and Wine were also available, but they came at an additional cost. Most of the crew members were friendly and attentive. I've been flying with Emirates for over eight years, and I'd confidently give them a five-star rating! read more

We just returned from an 8-day tour to Dubai and AbuDabe. We flew Emirates as it was the most direct route. Once upon a time it had a great reputation. Don't waste your time or money. Emirates is arrogant, less than competent and grossly over priced. We paid in excess of $7000 for the 2 of us to upgrade to premium plus. It was not worth the amount we paid. The service from the flight attendants was no more than we would have received had we not upgraded. And, the two meals served for the 16 hour trip was nothing to write home about. This airlines kept a tight schedule. Our flight was on time- from boarding, lift-off, to landing. The pilot was really good, landing was super smooth. The flight attendants were nice. They give you a Pouch with some flight essentials. Food was surprisingly better than most airlines I have flown with. We had chicken and rice for dinner, pizza for snack, and turkey sausage and scrambled eggs for dinner. The 15+ hour-flight to Dubai was brutal though, I didn't sleep a wink. It wasn't the airlines' fault, I had early onset jet lag. That time difference came at me full force. I'd fly with them again. If only I can afford the first class ticket, it would be heaven to take that shower before landing. read more

The flight attendants were really well trained and very attentive. The jet an A380 was very clean. The food was hit or miss. I had the filet which would have been great had it not been cooked for 90 mins. The amenities at our seats were high end and 16 hours passed quickly. The cabin upstairs was warm and became stuffy. Not sure if that is a Jet issue or flight attendant issue. Worth the negatives to be able to go non stop. read more

I was so disappointed and overly baffled by their customer service over at the Lax and over the phone. I used to praise them to all my family, friends as well as my clients. We used to fly with their airline at least 3 to 4 times a year. Including my siblings. This time we had our booking for September 10th. I called the airline to inform them that we were in traffic and that we were almost there. We were 2 minutes away and in 5 minutes they would have closed the check in counter. Airline has no access to their office station in LAX and or the counters!! Can you write a message to them through your chat box? No. They don't have that system. We got a call from the associate at the counter which I was happy I heard from them to inform them, I told her we are right there by the airport right now. She said our check in counter is closed already. It had taken them 2 minutes to close. 2 MINUTES. She wanted to know if I was flying with them, I said I was, she wanted to know if I had my baggage. I said yes. At that point she told me to wait and rebook for tomorrow. I told her, I would rather go on this airline, and if I don't take any of my baggage except my carryon I still would be able to get to my flight. She kept insisting I would need my baggage, I should wait and she will book me another flight for tomorrow. With no issue and no extra charge. At this point I was like okay. No big deal. Since there is no issue I will wait. She told me to wait a few minutes, someone will be right outside the station she asked me to wait. Waited for an hour and some called them 3 times. At first she said someone will be right out, then she said oh we started the boarding process just wait until we are done with that, OR I CAN CALL THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE. So, I shouldn't. My ride was waiting outside the airport. I called their customer service line, boy they were horrible for an international and considerably luxury airline to have this type of service. They were worse than American airlines. First, he told me that we don't know if we will have the option to rebook, but I should wait until an hour after the flight takes off to be able to use our tickets for rebooking. We can see. The associate at the counter wrote no show next to our names. And after waiting at a station, airport security wanted to know why I was standing there for that long. I told him I was waiting for an emirate airline atendy, he said this is not even their station or their office. So, they had me standing somewhere for an hour waiting for them that wasn't even their station? So, I was told to pay an extra $940 to be able to book the next flight for tomorrow on top of the $2100 we already paid. HE WAS THE WORST AND RUDEST PERSON I SPOKE WITH. I hung up on him after explaining everything to him and he didn't care or once was apologetic. I called a few hours later after I calmed myself down. Then I got to someone a little nicer, he gave me the same rules and regulation and that I SHOULD HAVE WAITED AT THE AIRPORT TO HAVE THEM REBOOK FOR ME, I SAID I DID. Yet no one came to help. He gave me a lower cost of $514.40, there was nothing else he could do. So, we processed and I got my confirmation. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE AND MAKING THEIR SITUATION WORSE, SO THEY TAKE MORE MONEY FROM YOU. No integrity. THIS WASN'T THE END OF IT. THEY SUSPENDED OUR TICKETS ON THE WAY BACK!! When we got to the airport and were ready to check in, an hour and half early. We were told that our tickets are suspended unless we pay another $400, because the person who booked us and sent confirmation to get us here, charged us less. I have never ever had to deal with this type of low class airline in my life. We are in the airport, nowhere to go back to since our booking was for today only. I waited for the airline representatives to do something and they didn't. SAME STUPID RULES. After waiting for a long time, they came back to tell me that I have to pay the full $940 since there was an issue with the last payment. How? I see it on my credit card!! Wouldn't take a credit card. Has to be cash. They waited us for a total of 3 hours and yet couldn't wait 2minutes to resolve all this headache? and Again waiting us for another hour and half with no result. Purchased RT Business Class Flex PLUS fare which lists complimentary driver from home to airport. When I called to book, they told me they would not honor it, as it is complimentary- they dont have to offer if they flight included a partner airline (which it did). So, Dubai. Emirates took me there and I can't wait until they take me there again. Next time though, I hope they send my luggage on the same flight - as my luggage arrived two days after I did. But aside of that mishap, I had an excellent experience with Emirates. Everything from their website to their mobile app - and from the ticket agents to the flight crew - and (unfortunately), the customer service agents I communicated with regarding my luggage, were all courteous, friendly and professional. The flight was comfortable, smooth and packed with creature comforts that made a sixteen-hour flight seem so much shorter. Probably because I slept for much of it but that was made easier with the spacious seating and amenities provided to enhance the flight experience. Dealing with the luggage issue - the customer service agents were apologetic and informative as to what to expect and what to do - like purchasing toiletries as well as a new set of clothes as my luggage was put on the next flight out - and delivered to my hotel not the same evening it arrived but the first thing, the next morning. I've flown on many airlines in my lifetime and my experience with Emirates was definitely one of the best of all time. read more

Drop in overall experience and service. Did not enjoy the flight

Let's first say I was very excited about flying with Emirates. This would be both me and my first time. We are traveling to Dubai for the first time on our 11th anniversary. I called customer service six times before I booked and looked through the website multiple times before I booked our flight. Through the conversations with the reps and reading through the website, I was told I could use miles to upgrade my seats. I was also told how many points I needed to upgrade my seats. So I opened the Emirates card to get 60k miles, joined the Skyward program to get 10k miles and other benefits, transferred miles from other points programs, and purchased additional miles from Skyward. I bought the ticket in March, and now I am being told (April) that "the upgrade with miles is never guaranteed. It completely depends on the flight statistics." None of the previous reps mentioned this, nor is it visible on the website. Had I been told this, I would have never purchased all this and taken those steps to get miles. I was scammed. All I want is to use my miles as I was told I would be able to. I have never had a miles program that does not allow you to use the points immediately. I have had Jetblue for years and never had an issue using points. I thought this airline was supposed to be upscale, so I didn't expect it to be a scam. So disappointed. So, the last rep I spoke to told me that there was nothing anyone could do and that I could only submit a complaint. That is sad. HOPEFULLY, THIS HELPS OTHER NOT GET SCAMMED LIKE ME. Very disappointed with this airline. First off,there was only one meal choice from LA to Dubai. And it wasn't very good. Secondly, they have a 7 Kg weight carryon limit from Dubai to India. They wanted to charge me $115 for being overweight. How about you give folks a much more reasonable weight limit like 15 kg? I'm tired of these bait and switch routines where they try catch you off guard, and make additional revenue that way. On the plus side, the actual flight attendants are very good. read more

This is a review of their customer service which is seriously deficient. The flight itself was fine, I flew business class. UT the chauffeur service was non existent. They were supposed to pick me up at SFO, they never sent me an email or called me to arrange a pickup. I was on the phone with an Emirates service agent who couldn't help me. Ok, mistakes happen. I logged a case about this on their web site. But what was worse is that the chauffeur service lied and claimed I took a ride on their car, and that's what the Emirates agent stated in his response and closed the case. Never bothered to find out what happened, the fact that they took the side of a lying limo company makes them untrustworthy. Never flying Emirates again.. read more

The entire Emirates Airline experience was poor. Customer service in reservations was almost impossible - on their website and 800# reservations. We upgraded to Premium Economy and the service was slow. Finally our complaints about the experience generated a poor response along the lines of too bad. Very disappointing experience for an Airline that prides itself on service. read more

Had a long flight from Dubai to Lax. Flight attends were v efficient .Service exellent .One of the best i ve flew with . Flight is 16 hours .A380 . Seats are v comfi . Food was good . Worth money i paid for. Their phone customer service in Dubai was helpfull and had my tickect upgraded to bussiness in few min and got a confirmation . Will fly Emirates again for sure . read more

We flew Business Class from Los Angeles to Dubai. Emirates failed to deliver agreed land transport from Dubai airport to our Dubai hotel.

I wish I could give zero My flight has been cancelled from Lufthansa because I'd political issue. They kindly emailed me and called me and reserved another flight by Emirate. When I went to airport I realized that the flight flew earlier and they had not phoned or emailed me and 3 more passengers ! we went to Emirates office at the airport and they told us they couldn't find us (10 passengers) while the Lufthansa company transferred all our contact to Emirates. I stayed with my family 6 hours at airport to find another flight! I found another flight for 2 days later with Qatar. The Emirates doesn't accept its fault and just ignore me and transfer me to Lufthansa and Lufthansa passes me to Emirates saying they could contact you as we could! I will sue Emirates read more

Emirates clearly discriminated against fliers in Economy vs Business & First. After my son was discriminated against on an Emirates flight, I will never fly this airline ever again. Air Emirates is by far one of the best airlines i've ever flown on. I know many people rave of this airline, but I had to experience it for myself. On a recent trip we flew through Dubai, so it was a non-stop 16 hr flight from Los Angeles. Yes a long flight, but on an A380, it wasn't that bad. The plane is a huge double decker, although economy only has access to the lower level. There is plenty of room (compared to other airlines/plans) to get up and walk around. The amenities were nice, as we were provided a bag with socks, earplugs, eye mask and toothbrush before takeoff. The flight crew were all friendly and accommodating. The food was the best airline food I have had in all my travels. I have had a good meal here and there on other airlines, but this time everything was genuinely delicious. The only reason for a 4 star rating and not 5 star is because on the flight back I had a window seat and on the side on aircraft where I was sitting there was an open flap to the inside of the plane which they said "the tape" came off. I asked to have it sealed so I wouldn't drop anything in it on accident. If anything fell down there, I probably wasn't getting it back. They flight attendants kept telling my it is not any problem with the plane and the seal must have just come loose, but they would have some one come fix it. Needless to say, after asking countless times, it never was fixed. The whole flight I was making sure nothing fell and all my belongings were accounted for. Come on now, passenger piece of mind and an easy fix should have been taken care of. read more

Worst customer care.. In todays world when everything is done online, you still need to left with call option where you have to wait for indefinite time for simple query. The chat option never works, there is no social media handle which reply to you promptly, even the complaint and feedback option on the website doesn't respond to you EVER. I have never seen such bad customer care for any service or product. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on Emirates. The service was excellent and they were very accommodating, even to the annoying passengers that were sitting around me. I don't know how flight attendants do it, but bless their hearts for dealing with these ppl. They have an awesome entertainment package with movies, games, tv, etc. The food was very good as well and they gave us fancy menus telling us what we would get. They had awesome fruit juices like mango and papaya and the coffee and tea were amazing. I loved the free drinks. Also, they even brought me a birthday cake on my birthday (my mom told them prior to us flying). Overall, one of the best flying experiences of my life. I'm not sure I would hop on another 15 hour flight however if it was with emirates, I would be much more inclined to go and be excited about it! read more
