    It's my first time to fly under this airline heading to Asia and it's just appropriate to compare my experiences against others. My plane left Los Angeles International (LAX) exactly as scheduled, flight preparations were organized and folks got in line according to their assigned zones. Many of our senior citizens in wheelchairs were allowed first and there were a lot of staff who facilitated the departure protocols. The flight was very smooth with some bumpy ride along the mid-flight but seems comparably similar with any other flights I've taken everywhere. The stewards and stewardesses seemed not so sweet and focused, not the usual, can we offer you something"? I'd say, it's probably cultural although this are just observations on my part, since this time, I bought an economy class ticket during the last minute. Eva Air has the best food compared to other airlines that fly the SEA route, chicken pasta, Chinese-style cooking and a comprehensive fruits and sandwich galore accompanied our meals. The timeline for serving food and snacks was perfect, not so late nor early, just about right. They also seem to recognize our need to sleep and allowed quiet and dark during our flight and bathrooms were also clean and fully packed with everything we needed. One observation is the wide seats and better spacing of their plane compared to other Asian airlines, who pack their seats and seem very tight and skimpy. The stay over transition was alright although they (Eva Airlines transition staff) keep asking for printed tickets in Taiwan when some of us had difficulty activating our phones to show them our online boarding tickets. Since passengers aren't able to access anywhere, they should have a better way of not trying make us feel, we have to painstakingly look for a WiFi access (was too weak for an international airport and inconvenient to those travelers just passing by) to be able to show them our boarding tickets again! Our transfer trip wasn't too bad as we safely landed in Manila on time as scheduled, and smoothly.

    I had a great experience with this airline flying from LA to Taipei non stop round trip. I am generally a delta loyalist so was a little hesitant to fly EVA but it turned out great. I paid a slight up charge to sit exit row in economy -- my seat was extremely spacious and had a blanket w/ 2 pillows waiting for me when I arrived. The food was honestly not bad, they offered a western meal or a Chinese meal. I chose the Chinese meal both flights. Would recommend this airline

    I have been impressed by EVA air. We flew Royal class and the service was excellent. Greeted with pillows, slippers, blankets, a drink and Godiva chocolate as soon as I sat down. The chair reclines all the way that it's flat so you can actually sleep. Pillows were comfortable. The screen was big and the movie options were good. Food and snacks was probably the best airplane meal I've had!

    I recently went on the ultimate dream trip to Tokyo, Japan! Being the biggest Hello Kitty fan, it was also my ultimate dream to be a passenger on the Hello Kitty Eva Air jet. It just seemed to right to go on my dream trip in my dream plane! Booking a flight on the Hello Kitty Eva Air jet can be a little tricky. They do have a website called evakitty.com but it doesn't list just Hello Kitty flights and I found it a bit confusing and in certain cases not accurate. It was also a bit hard to contact someone in Eva Air. I hope they do something about this in the future because it stinks for Hello Kitty fans like me if you are targeting to get on a Hello Kitty plane and don't get on one (almost subtract a star Yelp review worthy). It's all about the days - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and day time is when the Hello Kitty jet flies out of LAX. Happily though I did manage to get on the Hello Kitty Eva air flight and I was such a fan of every single Sanrio detail they had. I got on the Sanrio Family flight and both outside and inside of the jet was Hello Kitty galore. Inside the head rests, pillows, waste bags, safety manuals, bathroom essentials, cups and utensils were all Hello Kitty and friends! I was so very Hello Kitty happy! The food Eva Air serves is also pretty good. They have choices between Western or Asian meals. If you do want special meals like vegetarian, seafood or kids meal you have to do that online 24 hours ahead or you will not get it. Overall the Hello Kitty flight is a must for any Hello Kitty fan (just be wary of how you book or you may not get on the right plane!)

    Service was nice alot of movie to watch the food was good there was no crying baby or toddlers very trustworthy would go on again.

The parents temporarily sat in that seat to comfort the child but were immediately asked to leave by the flight attendants. Flight attendant Zhang Wei X (張瑋 X) and the flight attendant assigned to the same row as seat 60B had a terrible attitude toward the passengers. She covered her ID, and after the passengers were leaving, she did not greet us but instead hid in the small kitchen. It was clear they didn't enjoy their job. Their service was rude and very disappointing, the food tasted bad, and I believe China Airlines' quality is declining. I am not willing to spend money and tolerate poor service--if it does not improve, I will certainly not fly with China Airlines again.

I was told we have 3 check in luggages for our international flight back home to LAX from Frankfurt only to find out that it was a lie. I believe they scheme to do this so that they can gouge people out of more money. Website and app did not allow to add extra luggage or check what was included. In-flight, food was blah, no protein offered for an 11.5 hour flight and no complementary alcohol that is standard with international flights.

I was not looking away, nor was I asleep -- I was looking directly at her and waiting for my turn. She did not make eye contact with me and focused solely on the other passengers. I am not sure why this happened. Could it be because I am Asian? I cannot find any other explanation. In my experience, I have noticed this type of behavior from Caucasian female flight attendants toward Asian male passengers on more than one occasion. I do not usually write reviews, but I felt this deserved attention, as it has become a pattern over the years of flying. It happens consistently, and only with certain flight attendants. This occurred on a flight from Santa Ana to Chicago O'Hare on May 12. Please take this seriously. Passengers of all backgrounds deserve to be treated fairly, equally, and with respect. As paying customers, we should never be made to feel invisible or overlooked based on how someone perceives or stereotypes us. Thank you.

That meant our dogs would need to go through an entire ordeal to get over to the island. Unfortunately, this airline was our best option at this time. Summer changes the flight issues for dogs due to weather restrictions. I'll spare you the worst part but I say in their office for almost three hours with our two dogs. They let me sit there while they attempted to contact their boss regarding my dogs and their crate sizes. The same crate sizes that they are accustomed to. Three hours. From 3am to 5:50am. And I don't even think they actually contacted the manager. It was too early. The manager wouldn't even see my dogs before the flight would leave. Only one dog was able to fly this occasion. After all the foot steps, preparing to ship our dogs the office was not helpful to say the least. So ya, I am also an animal lover. I would never put my animals in a situation that would be detrimental to them. They are FAMILY. Not your family, MY FAMILY. The gentleman stated that the crates they were in would get him in trouble. Of course I would never want to jeopardize anyone's job but this needs to be addressed. Now that I am settled and in my new location I feel it's important to advise the future participants and I hope that this review helps someone. Unfortunately for me, their convenience of using larger than required crates meant that the dogs needed to ship in larger crates and of course to that was slightly more expensive. I'm already spending $850 per dog, $1,000 is not much difference. I was able to send one dog on the original day due to someone else "leaving a crate behind". How convenient. The cost was one thing but the rest of the ordeal is what brought me here. Originally for the desired crate size of 40" for a golden retriever and a Chesapeake bay retriever, their at home crates were deemed too small for them. Turn around have space above their heads and are comfortable in their space, was not good enough for them. I had to leave a dog behind, get a sitter and find someone else to transport my remaining dog. As well as get a new health certificate. I will not recommend using Hawaiian for shipping your dog and if you have another option, take it. Alaska was kind and appropriate though slightly more expensive but no disappointment or wasted money.

My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Now that Alaska and Hawaiian merged in 2024 and ultimately combined to create the Atmos Rewards loyalty program, it made it possible to carry over any mileage points I had. This was my story: PURCHASE(S) One-Way Nonstop Coach Airfare ($148.10): Since I booked the flight two months before its departure, this fare was within my comfort level of $150.00 for any one-way domestic air travel during the high season (spring break months). Checked Luggage (N/A): Thankfully, I traveled light and only had a carry-on and backpack. Otherwise, they customarily charged $45.00/bag. FLIGHT EXPERIENCE ~Check-in: I checked-in through their app 24-hours prior, had my QR code boarding pass saved to my Google Wallet, and traveled with only a carry-on and backpack, so I was ready to go! Then, it was off to the security checkpoints and through the necessary TSA pleasantries...which surprisingly went quickly thanks to my TSA Precheck and Global Entry status. Once that was done, I headed toward my plane's gate with the excitement that always came when leaving on a vacation - sweet! ~Seat 24A Window: It generally was the same sardine can like all airplanes these days, so unless you were in Business or First Class you got to know your neighbors to the left, right, front, and back of you! The seats themselves were roomy enough. No blankets, headphones, or pillows were provided. Because of the morning flight time, the attendants often came around which was fine in this case. There were no carry-on baggage fees. PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance): I traveled through and had no need to park (I was dropped off). However, the airport offered onsite parking structures with rates that varied from around $13.00 to a range of $$60.00/daily maximum. Because this was located within Terminal 6 of departing flights, you had to already be an outgoing or incoming passenger to even get here, so parking would be a moot point. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located deep into Terminal 6 (specifically near Gates 65-69), which they now shared with Alaska Airlines, filled with a ton of gates, plenty of reasonably-priced eateries and duty-free shops, and many monitors as you passed them along the way. There were sufficient places to sit in the terminal with plenty of natural and electric lighting. Once on the airplane, it seemed like any other, so nothing really needed to be said or seen here, but I wished I recalled the type of plane since I was nerdy like that! ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. I liked to be unencumbered and unfettered, so the least amount of clothing, especially while I traveled through an airport, the better! OVERALL My one-way nonstop flight on Hawaiian Airlines out of LAX was fine and got me there safely which truthfully was all that mattered to me on any domestic flights. The seat video monitors helped pass the time. In any case, I'd fly and recommend them again. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $148.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS
