    A family member of mine has chosen this agent/agency as their car insurer for decades. This past…read moreyear when he mailed in his insurance payment (as he has done every year for decades) it was stolen out of his mailbox and cashed by mailbox thief (this has been reported to the bank and the authorities and an investigation has ensued. My family member had every reason to believe that his payment was applied as his check was cashed. Unfortunately, he got into his first fender bender and due to situations beyond his control, he has lost his license due to "not having insurance" even though he paid the bill and the money was taken out of his account. Tom Loughlin has promised to remedy this situation but instead has decided not to even return the client or families phone calls. This has left his former loyal and faithful client without transportation, health care, medication and the basic necessities to survive. Mr. Loughlin is aware of the situation that he has placed his former client into and still refuses to act with honor and integrity. I received an advertisement from my local State Farm Agent asking me to reconsider State Farm as my insurance carrier. However, with people like Tom Loughlin setting the example for a lack of integrity and honor, I will not even be willing to receive a quote from any State Farm Agent. I will be contacting the main office of State Farm Nationally to explain why I will not be accepting an estimate from any State Farm office, why I am informing my 1,500 + Social Media Followers, why I am asking my first cousin who is a New York Times Best Selling Author ( and lives local to Mr. Loughlin) to inform any and all of his contacts of Mr. Loughlin's lack of business and personal ethics, and will the local media sources as I feel that consumers should be informed of the dangers in using Tom Loughlin and State Farm by proxy.

    This is the most poorly run business I have ever had the displeasure to cross paths with. Tried to…read morebuy insurance online June 8th, a Thursday. The next morning I did not have any insurance cards yet but they had taken my money immediately. I called the regular customer service line and as transferred to this local office. Christina there took my call and ended up getting ID cards emailed to me. I took these to the DMV to be told they were invalid. I called the office to figure out what happened and after some digging I was told I did not qualify for insurance through All State (how did Christina get me insurance cards?) I said okay and asked them to cancel and refund my money, was then told I needed to wait until the office closed to call back and speak to the call center to cancel and get a refund. When I did that I was told the local office needs to cancel the policy. Well this office is closed for the weekend so I can't do anything but shop around for another insurance company. A few days go by, where I assumed since I did not qualify for insurance I would get refunded and canceled automatically, I get an email thanking me for my purchase and gives me more ID cards and policy information. Call the customer service and again was transferred to this same office to cancel my non existent policy but they now tell me I need to come in there to sign something. Not only is this completely different than what they told me the first time, but I never was in the office in the first place, why should I have to come there to sign something? Was on vacation for a week and finally got to email them proof of insurance on the 25th, and they canceled my policy on June 26th for effective the 11th. A few days go by and I ask them where my refund is and they tell me it takes two weeks. Two weeks go by and still no refund so I email again and they said they will escalate to management. Finally I get my refund on July 16th, a month and a half after they charged me for a policy that I should not have qualified for. THEN I get an email saying that my review is unfair and untrue and was asked to remove it or "She will have to defend the reputation of business and herself!" This is hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. This was originally posted on 6-16 and edited on 7-21.

Ken is awful nice and seems to be the only person I'm actually able to get in touch with over the last few years (including this years experience). Although it always seems that Ken & "the company" seem to know pretty much everything there is to know about Progressive Insurance, I wish someone here would double-check before they show me my rates for them to make sure I'm getting the most out of my buck and to make sure nobody else is lower. Although Ken has always found more discounts with Progressive, I do think a secondary check should be made to ensure Progressive is still the best one out there. (Make me feel like you are doing all of your job the next time I'm in - though I can trust you to find a good company to meet my needs.) Thanks for all the policies you've helped me with over the most recent past few years as well as this new one for this new (to me) car from this past summer.
