I have severe osteoarthritis and take Diclofenac for pain. The Dr said to go off the Diclofenac 7 days prior to the surgery because of the risk of bleeding. I complied. After the 5th day I was suffering. After the 6th day I could not walk. I took an Oxycodone left over from a shoulder surgery. And was able to call his office. I explained the severity of the pain I was in and asked for a scrip for 2 or 3 days worth of Oxy. He refused!! He told me to resume taking the Diclofenac?? He was willing to risk severe bleeding on the operating table rather than give a perfectly safe scrip for Oxy!! Even if I had agreed it takes 4 or 5 days to get back in my system. We had to cancel a surgery that I badly needed l. What kind of Quack would be so heartless?? Update: I received an AI Generated response to this post. As a retired nurse, he is very knowledgeable & has a great bed side manner. I love the fact that he entered the room with a big smile on his face, even with seeing 100 patients a day. Many times you do not receive that type of greeting from your own doctor. He spent time with me and answered all my questions that I had. I use this facility quite often and I have always been treated in a friendly & professional manner by staff, PA's and doctors. As a nurse now on the outside of the health profession, I have learned that it takes several months to get an appointment with your own doctor when you are sick. I am so thankful that we have these Emergency Center's that are staffed by PA,s and NP's. You may have to wait to be seen, but at least they are willing to see you. When your doctor is unable to see you, the first thing they tell you is to go to the ER. This Emergency Center does not work from 9:00 AM to 5:PM.

I was sent here because surgeon believe I have a blood clot. After having surgery 5 days prior. Leg is swollen to the point looking like Popeye's forearm. 2 hours later. Still waiting. Now. 1720. No organization. No color tagging white to blk based on alignment. 1725. They just took a patient for a chest xray that came in 30 min after me. Sorry I have to laugh. At Penn Highlands we were greatly quickly, taken back with 20 minutes and seen by a doctor with 45 minutes from walking in the door. The space is brand new, clean, and shiny. Will go back for urgent medical needs
