Other Lawn & Garden stores offer competative pricing as well, but poor to mediocre customer service. The main thing to me is customer service. At the end of the day, it's the only thing businesses have to offer to set them apart from everone else. It's what doing business is all about. And Joe's has been terrific I bought my lawn tractor from Joe's, and I have it serviced every year. They're fair and knowledgable, responsible and prompt. And, its a locally owned company. I highly recommend doing business there.

I took my riding mower to a place in Goshen and paid close to $300. When I tried to mow right…read moreafter picking it up it would not run. I took it back and they tried to say it was my fault it didn't run. Took it to a place in Elkhart and they said it wasn't worth servicing and tried to sell me a new one. When I told them i didn't want a new mower they said they would repair it. After another $300 dollars it only ran marginally better. After a recommendation from a friend I took it to Joe's. Joe got it running great and 100 times better the others and for only $118,00. I will drive the extra miles for the great work and customer service of Joe's Engine. He is a honest man. Had a terrible experience with the shop mgr at the Plymouth location. Not only did they not…read morecomplete the repairs in a timely manner, they told us to bring it back in again later in the year so the could finish. Made the appointment 2 months in advance, then they had it for over 3 months and never finished the work. They said they were too busy. Then when we got the bill, they double billed us for parts, billed us for parts they never used, and they even billed someone else's tractor to our credit card that they kept on file. They charged to that card without our permission. When the tractor went back in, then they did work we didn't ask to have done! The service Mgr insisted that my dad told him to do the work. Dad said he didn't. Then the service mgr Mike said dad was old ans confused. At that point, I told Mike, I am going to be polite, your stupid. At that point he raised his voice called me rude, and we would have to pay for the all the work. I told him I will not pay for work we didn't authorize. When I asked for an apology for what he said about my dad, they refused. They do not have experienced help to work on large Ag tractors. Plus Mike has no mechanical training. Upper management moved him from sales to service mgr. I can not recommend the Plymouth store to anyone.
