My friends and I dined in around 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon after finding my wedding dress in town (yay). We wanted to make this a celebration and ordered 2 Prosecco's and 1 Espresso Martini. The Prosecco's were not Prosecco's as they were served in wine cups and had zero bubbles. When we commented how flat the drinks looked, the server was positive they were fresh from the bottle. Rather than go back and forth a million times, we dropped it. Contrary, the Espresso Martini was delicious. I enjoyed the ambiance, big windows and cleanliness. The food was good as well as I opted for the chicken caeser wrap and a cup of tomato soup. The best part was hands down the beignet donuts served with vanilla ice cream and some caramel drizzle. I called Saturday afternoon to request to push the tee time back for the next day and he absolutely tore me a new one saying I was 6 hours late for my tee time and he wasn't able to book 2 golfers earlier that morning. mind you, it was raining that morning so I have a very hard time believing he had to turn away 2 people for a 7:45 tee time in mid Sept. I apologized multiple times and he would not accept any of them. I used to golf here all the time & throughly enjoyed it, but Ken has deterred us from ever golfing here again. Shouldn't be an issue anyways, my online account is now locked from making any tee times because of a simple mixup.

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were well kept. There is a river that hugs a couple of holes to make it interesting. Other than one or two blind holes, as a first time player, the course was easy to understand where to hit. It was a challenging course. I enjoyed the variety or the holes. Staff was welcoming. The club house was able to accommodate our large group in the downstairs area. I am looking forward to come back and play my own ball.

The starter let us go off early since we were ready and the foursome before us wasn't there yet. Appreciated that. We played in just over 4 hours. The forward tees are short coming in at less than 4800 yards. Tee boxes were a bit ragged. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Sand was not fluffy and more like light dirt. Not a lot of water on the course. Lots of trees and fairly narrow fairways. There were a couple of holes that were kind of goofy, and S-shaped hole, one with a tiny pond right next to the green that should have probably been a trap instead, and one that was using a temp green which severely shortened what should have been a par 5. Overall, it was a good course for the price.

The one thing to know, is that there aren't a tremendous amount of options for their brunch, unless you do the family style. And you must be prepared to have everyone at the table order, which makes sense, it's just good to know before heading over! Service was a little slow, but I believe the server was training in. Prices are also a little bit steep, but to be expected on a golf course.

A couple…read morehighlights: - several holes had amazing views of the river valley so much so that the couple we were golfing worh took lots of photos - the greens were challenging but in a fun way as lots of slope and very well maintained. - the course had a really relaxed vibe and fellow golfers were very friendly. - the staff was super friendly from the person washing carts who got us set up to the pro shop to the beverage cart server to the restaurant/bar where we had lunch after our round. Everyone had a smile and that definitely contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. The course had lots of terrain and mature trees but wasn't too punishing for novice golfers (90-110 scores) who only play a couple rounds per summer typically but are working to play more often. I would highly recommend making the drive during the summer and can only imagine the views in early fall with the river valley leaves. Finally it looks like the clubhouse / restaurant is set up to host events and wedding receptions with amazing views. We will be back as the views, course, and staff made the easy 1 hour drive from Eagan well worth it.

A couple of switchbacks on the road bring you to a ridge overlooking the Mississippi River. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. The forward tees were around 4800 yards which is a bit more on the shorter side but the many narrow fairways created plenty of challenges. Staff was friendly. Carts did not have GPS. We had a great experience and would gladly return for another round.

While not overly long, shot placement makes a big difference. Plus, I holed in from 110 yards on lucky #13!!!! Also - play moves along - we've played twice and have gotten in under 4 hours and under 4.5 hours.
