Lands End Marina - Wet Slips at Lands End

It would have been criminal not to put this marina at 5 stars. I bought a sailboat in this marina…read morewith a working engine, 2 weeks after I bought it the engine stopped working (classic). The mechanic I used took forever to fix it but the marina was so nice about everything. They transferred the slip, they checked in on me to see how I was doing, and I when I finally got the engine fixed (almost two moths later) they prorated my stay so I didn't have to pay another full month since I just a week into the next billing. Anytime I had a question they were there, whenever I needed services they were there, it was service with a smile since the day I bought the boat. The only reason I was there so long was because of the mechanic I used for the engine. It was not their mechanic. It's a special engine so it needed a special mechanic. I want to be clear that the work was not being done by the marina. Services are pretty good, they have free electric and water. They'll get you ice, they have pump out and water fill up and they have a full staff working on your boat for almost any type of issue or service. If they don't do it they'll point you in the right direction. I'm glad to leave but sorry this isn't my forever marina, at this point I have been paying for two slips for a couple of months. Heads up, I understand getting out into the bay is trickery if you have a deep draft sailboat.

Nice marina, has lots of wet slips for long term and transient boaters. Gas prices are a lil higher…read morehere than some others, but its convenient. They also offer boat repairs, dry storage, and have a restaurant and bar on site. Facilities include bathrooms with showers, laundry room, and captains lounge. But afer new live aboard laws went into effect requiring pump out stations at each dock slip, this marina no longer offers live aboard wet slips. They do have water and electricity at each dock slip, and offer wi-fi. Overall nice, well kept, clean marina, with several amenities.

I contracted with Bray Marine Services for the survey of an Island Packet sailboat. Tabitha is…read moreknowledgeable about the brand and meticulous in her preparation and survey of the vessel. Every system was tested and documented in a comprehensive report and separate engine oil analysis. Her recommendations regarding the vessel condition, estimated value, and required service gave me confidence that vessel is sound, seaworthy, and in serviceable condition. This made the investment in the survey very worthwhile. I highly recommend Bray Marine Service for your marine survey needs. Tabitha is a treasure trove of information as well as a competent and thorough surveyor. Nothing superficial about what she does!

Tabitha Bray was highly recommended to me by All Florida Yacht Sales, Ruskin, FL. and the Tampa Sailing Squadron (TSS), Apollo Beach, FL. Tabitha was extremely knowledgeable and thorough, paying attention to detail and providing expert recommendations for improvement of the vessel. The final report was professional and detailed. The following highlights of the Survey are: 1). Excellent realistic presentation of the vessel including appropriate imagery and descriptive text in the report. 2). Accurate description of vessel attributes (electromechanical, house accommodations, safety features, navigational and sail condition). 3). Well written, well organized, concise report with relevant and sufficient detail; very informative. My opinion of the overall service of Bray Marine Services: 1). Extremely professional, knowledgeable, precisely measured analyses, practical and fair evaluation of this old but quality vessel; This is a five-star review. Captain Daniel E. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK!…read more If I could give Mikey and this company negative stars I would. He started working on our boat back in February 2024 . It is now the end of September 2024 and he has not fixed the boat. He stopped communicating with me and I had no idea where my boat was for months. I begged him to do the work. II had to send him and his entire family "demand letters/intent to sue letters" and he showed up at my house today and dropped the boat of as he said "in the state in which he received it" so basically still broken and confirmed all the lies he told. He's had it for months and has done ZERO work on it. However, I don't know where he's had the boat for the past several months, but it's filthy and has clearly been left outside and not been taken care of so it's not in the same condition as which he got it. I'm certain when you hire a mechanic that is a binding contract saying that he is going to make the repairs. Obviously, if he couldn't fix it and didn't know how to fix it he should've said that months ago yet he continuously said that he was going to fix it. So six months later, its back here and in worse shape then when he got it. I'm going to follow through with our intent to sue and find another mechanic. Some may wonder why we let it go this far after all the being he was doing. Great question! He and his parents had a personal relationship with my father and it was my father that recommended him. So we tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, Look where that got us, two disabled veterans on a fixed income and we've lost months of money and the boats gone to crap and even worse than it was when he took it. We've paid months and months of money into this thing snd nothings fixed. I'm going to get on will deal with this now. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK! So, before you call Mikey to do work on your boat feel free to reach out to me. I have the past six months worth of communications/lack of communications with him. I also have text messages and emails about the condition of the boat and what he did/did not do which all turned out to be lies. I also have text messages saying that he was out of town and having family problems and where about 15 minutes from us partying fishing, riding tractors, riding horses doing all kinds of stuff except for fixing our boat. This is not some baseless bad review. He was given every chance to make it right. Now he will have to deal with it in court.
