I love EMC with all my heart. All the teachers and staff are so helpful and nice. They have helped me progress and make me a strong dancer. This studio is where I have met my lifelong friends! EMC offers something for everyone! Over the past 11 years, all three of my children (and even my husband and I) have taken classes at EMC, ranging from music and acrobatics to "just for fun" hip hop, from daddy/daughter partnering to adult tap. There is truly something for every interest and every level! What impresses me most about EMC, however, is that they always accentuate the positive, they help children to set and achieve personal goals, all while instilling perseverance and poise. While technique is very important at EMC, and is never lacking, it is these personal skills that I know my children will carry with them as they grow up. Really love this studio. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My little one now takes two classes here, tumbling and dance. She's 3 and has been taking classes here since she was 19 months. We especially love Ms Rachel, who has incredible patience teaching the little ones. We highly recommend this studio! read more

I am surprised there are no reviews as of yet, so I figured I would be the first. EMC appears to be a small studio for various arts programs. We went to their Open House a few months ago for their "Tumble Tots" program and were very impressed with the facility. The place is much larger than it appears from the outside and has multiple levels, studios and places for instruction. The tour and the owners were very thorough and we were ended up signing up our son for the class. With that said, once we started the classes, again we were very happy with the class. Ms. Katie runs the class and makes the class as fun as possible while giving attention to all the students. It's parent-child interactive, but she literally runs from parent-child to parent-child making sure we all get attention and are working on the skills. Since our son is so young, we have issues with his attention and ability to do some things, but it's is astounding how much he has progressed over the past 8 months. We enjoy the class and are very happy with EMC!! read more

The staff are all friendly and cordial. Classes seem to run smoothly. That being said, I don't know if I'm just overly-sensitive or what, but the routines they have the kids do are way too risqué in my opinion. In a small town like this I figured costume choice and dance routines would be significantly more conservative than they are. But no one else seems to have a problem with it so maybe I'm crazy. I've switched my daughter into a different dance program that fits our values better now. read more

I rated them two stars on google...put out an honest review of the issues we faced; the owner Robin personally contacted me in what she felt was retribution for my review. She discredited and dismissed my concerns, then had my review removed. I wonder how many reviews she has been able to remove? Since this time last month, there are quite a few new reviews of her business, all five star and from her best customers. Some of the biggest issues we faced were due to their disorganization and how that often meant discomfort or embarrassment for the kids. The young kids had a very hard time standing around for ten hours a day two days in a row for rehearsals, where the adults stood around eating chocolate in front of the kids but the kids weren't allowed to have any. Her response was kids need to learn every gift is not for them. Not on the day of the show they don't need to learn that. Parking is awful, they only communicate whats going on to their fave people (read...the ones that can afford multiple classes and purchase all the extras) many people get left out of the loop or there is an email the day before a show explaining a wardrobe change?? Many examples of where they just don't have their act together, but with little competition in a small town they still get enrollment. The end of year show is grand, but as a dance mom who got to see what was going on backstage...I can tell you kids were in tears and falling apart. Robin very simply is not a nice person. My daughter danced at EMC for 11 years and her experience there immensely contributed to the beautiful, poised young woman she is today. Dance programs could start with baby ballerinas and follow a path through high school creating sophisticated, mature dancers; all fulfilling the dreams and goals of the students and their families. The owner, Miss Robin, and the instructors are dedicated to achieving student success and are constantly listening and entertaining new ideas to keep the experience fresh and fun! So many opportunities were afforded to my daughter including performing at the Strand and Pullo Center in York, traveling with EMC to dance at Disney World, performing at local events, attending master classes and summer camps, and being a "big sister" and assistant instructor to younger dancers. We have never found another studio in our area that provided such a well-rounded experience not only for our dancer, but also for our family. Nothing else compares to the quality and professionalism shown by everyone at this studio! read more
