Finally, you get to mix your essential oils and scents into the vessel with wax, and tada!! You're all set!! The staff always knows exactly what I need and is more than willing to help. Oftentimes they will offer you a blessing at checkout - Say yes and accept with gratitude. The blessing will bring you goodness and peace and probably whatever else you need. At the beginning of the Athenian Candles gives out catalogues and Christian calendars with purchase. Both are wonderful gifts. The catalogue has a lot of information about products you may not have been aware of. Parking right in front can be tough; it is Greektown. if you go a block or two away you will find likely a free spot.

It caters to a predominantly Christian clientele, as made evident by all the saints. That said, there are a few questionably pagan/hoodoo items that I was surprised to find there. To each their own. What I didn't like was the staff. They were really kind of snotty and rude, like if they didn't already know you they couldn't be bothered. We paid and booked online was very easy to do. We arrived a little early and was able to take picture in front of the flower wall or sit by the fireplace. When it was our turn. We were placed at table as a group or if you came by yourself, you were placed where there were empty sits. Our Host was Julius he explained everything step by step. We were able to pick every aspect of our candle from the holder to the scent, and to the color. This was a great experience and something that I have recommended to friends and family every chance I get.
