We hired BGC to install a door and build a small patio.. but it turned into so much more ( in a…read moregood way). They ended up putting in 2 doors, building a bigger patio then planned ( our request), doing a concrete walkway and will be installing siding on our house very soon. Mark is easy to talk to, helps with suggestions and fixes any issues QUICKLY! Justin was the main guy doing the work and he bent over backward for us ( much of these projects was a surprise for a family member who was out of town). Justin came on his day off to do work so the "surprise wasn't totally ruined" ( family member came home 2 days early) ! Justin was very knowledgeable and even lent his advice on some projects I was doing on my own around the house ( who does that?!? Amazing right? )

Builders Group Construction did an amazing job on our Bathroom remodel in Oakwood, Ohio. They…read morecompletely transformed the space. We went from a basic tub/shower combo to a beautiful set up with a garden tub and a new, tiled walk-in shower. The details really make it; the marble mosaic floor looks incredible, and the wainscoting tile around the entire bathroom gives it a clean, high-end finish. The bathroom is finished with a white vanity and black accents that ties everything together. The construction crew was professional, they kept the space clean during the remodel, and the quality of work shows in every part of the room. I would have gladly given 5 stars if I was simply reviewing Justin (the project manager), Kevin and the construction crew. However, the owner of the company, Mark, has poor people skills. When we had an issue with lack of communication between Brittany and us and Brittany and Justin (which essentially cost us $3000) and I reported it to Mark, he blew it off and talked to me like I was an inconvenience to him. All he had to do was say they dropped the ball and apologize, but his ego would not allow him to do so and he instead said, "I don't know what to tell you, you can do it or not, its up to you." That is very poor customer service in my opinion. I also feel that during the "selling the job" phase, Justin should have been included in the initial meeting with us and Brittany (who sold the job) so there was no miscommunication between the two of them. With all things being said, I would still recommend Builders Group Construction, but I would not deal with Mark again.

Buckeye gave us an incredibly reasonable estimate on the new roof for the house, TWO flat roof…read morereworks, plus gutters AND they repaired the shady fascia board between the first and second floors, under one of the (no longer) flat roofs. Everything looks so good! We chose the same shingles for the house that we had put on the carriage house/garage, and although it's hard to see up top, they do look amazing. And the drainage around the house is SO MUCH BETTER. At the time the crew was out, we were having other repairs inside the house, and everyone did the trades shuffle with grace and humor. You haven't seen a crew work like these guys did until you realize they roofed a 7,200 sq ft historic house in just 3 days--including the flat roof rebuilds. So much attention and care was paid to the fabric of the home, and each flat roof got its own plan and treatment. They did our carriage house in early spring 2026, and the same attention to detail means we now own two very spiffy historic structures. Call Buckeye, you can't go wrong.

He then went on to ask a myriad of questions unrelated to our bathroom project, in addition to again asking if my husband could join us. I told him he was busy and could not join us and that I was the point person for this project. He asked a third time if my husband could join us, citing that I might not be able to remember all the information I was given. I told him if he was not going to provide a consultation/estimate for me, the project owner, unless a man was with me then we can cancel. I led him out of the house 30 seconds later.

Cabinets Brought (Happy) Tears to My Eyes…read more.. We had removed a large chimney structure around an old 48 inch gas range in our kitchen. In order to integrate our new 54-inch professional hood, we needed a 16-inch deep cabinet created and installed at the ceiling. Additionally, we'd removed an electric oven and were replacing it with a smaller speed microwave. A couple of businesses had proposed to build and install the cabinets, but the prices were high and the timing wasn't working with our needs. As a last-ditch effort, we posted our project on Thumbtack. When Doug Taylor replied to our request, we were cautiously optimistic about his availability and pricing. Needless to say, he did not disappoint us in the slightest. Doug is not only professional, prompt, and responsive, he is a true craftsman and artist. His measurements were meticulous and the cabinets and trim he constructed to fit into our existing kitchen look like they were made alongside their companion cabinetry. Dayton Custom Cabinets far exceeded our expectations for beautiful cabinets. We will certainly be using Doug in the future for all our cabinet and custom woodworking needs. Highly recommend!
