Took my kitten in for a spay. Low cost, awesome staff, clean and tidy clinic. When we came in to get the kitten, the staff showed their adoration for my baby, and let me know she was doing great and that they made sure to give into her demands and give pets. If you love your pet DON'T take them to this shit hole! My dog was neutered at Emancipet and got a severe infection and Emancipet hasn't taken responsibility and hasn't even replied to my calls. I had to take my dog to an ER and paid almost $600 to get my baby comfortable after being in so much pain. The vet concluded that the infection happened because Emancipet did not give my baby an antibiotic shot or any antibiotics at all. Please do not take your baby here. Pay the extra money and take your baby elsewhere! The manager here is shit as well, she has No people skills at at all and has no sympathy! I'm seeking for legal help because this is horrible what they are doing. The vet I took my baby to said they had other pups brought in with infections from being neutered or spayed at this place. After finding my cat in a parking lot, I took him to a variety of vets around town-- Thrive Affordable Vet Care, The Cat Doctor, etc. Given that my cat does not suffer from any chronic conditions and only needs vaccinations and annual check-ups, I've found Emancipet offers the lowest prices in town. They've recently upped their prices (unfortunately), but even still, they are the most affordable pet care providers I've found in Houston. I also had my cat neutered at the other location and the procedure was cheap, with no complications. At the time, I believe I paid around $50-60. They provided me with a mid-day update and pick-up post-op was easy. Staff is always friendly. I will note that it is best to arrive a few minutes early before doors open if you want the quickest service possible. Weekdays are way less crowded than weekends. One time I tried to go in on a Saturday afternoon and the wait time was 2 hours!! On the other hand, a Tuesday morning arrival at 10 AM only had about a 10 min wait time. the staff here is amazing! my dogs are usually pretty nervous at the vet, but the vet we got today, Samantha Cook and the assistant (didn't get her name) were so patient and gentle with my dogs. even though my dogs were scared, they made sure to get them comfortable and calm before proceeding with anything, without making us feel like we were in a rush or an inconvenience to them. i recommend this vet to all of my pet friends -- friendly staff and it's so affordable! read more

I didn't want pets. My dad and daughter adopted one through the SPCA about 3 years ago. I yelled and put my foot down, I am not feeding, walking, or spending money of him, I can't afford the three kids I got! Fast forward, he became my wing man at any pet friendly establishment. Then, they brought home a puppy a friend gave them. I lost my voice from the yelling. I am not a dog lover. Puppy got hit by a car, and there I was paying for a 4k surgery (dog hospital not Emancipet). Pup is now a rumbustious tornado that barks at a leaf ruffled by the wind. His trainer said he would be better behaved if he was fixed. Here we were before Emancipet opened, during social distancing with lines on the floor telling us where to stand. The sun already beaming down on us, sweat dripping down my back. Although they are very economical with the neuter and spay here at Emancipet (under $100), I am doing the exact thing I said I wouldn't. Feeding, Walking, and spending money on not one but two doggies. Furthermore, the second one is way more costly. Yes, Emancipet, bring your pets. Cheap in price doesn't reflect the type of care. I felt like I got a bargain, most accurately got more than what I paid for. The entire staff has a pleasant bedside manner. They were in and out of the the building trying to get everyone checked in. Indie is not an obedient, friendly dog. When they told me what a good boy he was my response was "NOT MY INDIE." Word of advice, be there before they open and get your spot IN line as it wraps around the building once the staff begins to open the doors. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. I brought my cat in to get spayed, and she was in a brand new carrier that I bought her that day, and she's never had fleas. EVER. I bring her home, and over the next week my house is infested with fleas. WE'VE NEVER HAD FLEAS. Her carrier had A BUNCH OF LITTLE WORM/EGGS OF TICKS/FLEAS. I don't know how they keep our animals caged, but mine absolutely came back with fleas. I had to completely clean my house and clean my cats with flea medicine and shampoo. I have mixed feelings about this facility. First, the email says a cat must be in a secure box or cat carrier. Then when you get there with a secure box and they tell you, you must have carrier and charge you $6 for a cardboard carrier. Then you must have two vaccines that were never mentioned before. At pick up time, they once again tried to up sale me. I declined the extras and from that point on, I found the staff impatient and rude. $89 ended up being $125 and then they expect a donation. With all that being said, I believe the vet did a good job with the spay. read more

Oh my goodness! They worked with me so much and luckily enough I had the sweetest lady check my animal in. Her name is Monique! I swear she is like the Angel of animals over there. She was able to work with my busy schedule and give me some more information on vaccines/ times and all that. She truly has a huge heart (I'm sure all the people working there do) but she really was just so willing to help me with any questions or concerns. Give this girl a raise!! This place is so great! All of the staff is so helpful and I can see that they work so hard. The wait time can be a bit long, which is totally understandable when it comes to such low prices! After talking to one of the technicians she told me that on their busy days they see up to anywhere from 60-80 patients! That's crazy!!I have so much compassion for them as they put up with those annoying customers that complain about the wait. They took such good care of my pup, any and all questions that I had, my tech answered them so well.
