This is the most positive, diverse, and loving space you will find in the region. You never know what you will see on stage, and the people who put on these shows -- from the production team and dancers to the sound team and venue staff -- are all highly engaged and professional while still appearing to enjoy what they are doing. The crowds are always super fun and having a blast. Just another wonderful art and community experience in the underrated CLE!

Bella, the owner and Burlesque Queen of Cleveland, is a true visionary that energizes Ohio with her brilliantly curated programs, events and festivals. She believes in restoring the art of burlesque into Cleveland as it once was in its vintage heyday. All her troupes performances are super fun, engaging and classy, blending the art of burlesque into a beautiful evening out. While they don't have any performances right now due to the pandemic, this is a fabulous and inclusive business owned by a completely rad woman. You can always count on a LeFemme event to be a glamorous and cool night out!

The Alex Theater is located inside The 9 Hotel and you do not have to be a hotel guest to attend a show at Alex Theater. Valet your car (it's just the easiest parking) and simply walk straight in to the elevators and click the call button for Alex Theater. The Alex Theater has a full bar (no snacks) and can seat about 100 people comfortably between the leather recliners and high-top tables that are sometimes assembled. The programming at the Alex is always five-stars. Check their website regularly and you'll see evenings for drag, live bands, magic shows, film events and more. I want to give kudos to the staff. A very annoying, obnoxiously drunk couple was next to us and ruining our experience. At intermission, we let the staff know and they discretely took care of the situation. The Alex is a classy place, and if I wanted a rowdy night out, I'd be at a college bar. A night out at the Alex Theater is always a fun experience and I can't recommend it enough!

I didn't realize that the theatre itself is inside the massive 78th street studios, which houses galleries, the 3rd Fridays art/gallery event, boutique shops from local businesses, and more. The theatre is on the 2nd floor of the 78th street studios. As I entered, I was lost and the random people that I asked couldn't help which was frustrating at best. I then ran into someone who was looking for the theatre like myself so we helped each other find it. Eventually, we saw signs leading us to the theatre and arrived with a minute or so to spare before the show started. The theatre itself is small and intimate. There is a stage up in the front-center plus a sound booth behind the stage. I enjoyed the play Altar Boyz but some parts were a bit offensive to the Christian religion but I suppose that was the point of the play. The actors, which were all male, did a great job. I can certainly see myself coming back here to watch another play. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 3/365 total reviews in 2025 - 784 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 January 2025

Located on Lee and actually seems to share a building with the public library. Got student tickets to Land of Oz for a show on a Friday. I bought them in person and the lady at the counter was super helpful and let me know about affordable ways to see a show like the "pay what you can" prices an hour before the show- which I definitely recommend for any weekday showings. You can also volunteer as an usher and see the show for free. Basically all seats offer a really good view because it is a smaller theater. But wow!!!! So much talent in one show. The actors were all amazing singers and dancers. It was pretty hilarious too. Very cool and creative set and costume design. My expectations were not the highest- I was a little unsure of seeing a show in a cleveland suburb, but I was absolutely blown away. They also serve reasonably prices drinks at the bar and even had a few special cocktails based on the theme of the show which was cute.

It's actually in the same building as the town's library and only has 5 rows, so all seats offer a good view. The play we saw was wonderful, living up to the expectations of an Obie Award winner. Tickets are inexpensive, and the shows only play for about a month each. I think most of those in attendance have been longtime membership holders and go often. It's time that the theater reach other demographics, and I would strongly recommend going based on my experience!
