I ordered the El Pastor, the Pescado Frito, and the Carnitas, and my wife got three chicken tacos. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype for us. My wife said her chicken tacos had okay flavor, but it was a pretty bland, basic chicken taco. The cilantro and onions didn't really elevate it, and we couldn't tell if the chicken was even marinated or just plain shredded. She tried both the green and the red salsa, hoping for some kick, and neither one had any real pungency to them. And chicken is already kind of bland, so you really need something to bring it up. Mine were no better; honestly I was thoroughly depressed. The Al Pastor was good but not great, with no heat and no tang, and it's supposed to have that pungent Mexican chili flavor, and it just wasn't there. The carnitas were every bite a piece of fat, and I didn't enjoy it at all. I didn't even finish it because I was just over it. The pescado tasted like a bland piece of flour with some kind of meat in it. I don't know if it was just a bad day for the salsa, but it did not hit. The one positive was the horchata, which was good. I had like three refills, mostly because I was still hungry, so I filled myself up on horchata. The vibe is great and I wanted to love this place, but it completely flopped for me and my wife, and I really don't crave it at all. Super bummed, because we were very much looking forward to it.
