We had the pleasure to work with Wynsie to design our custom cabinets and the whole process was amazing. We met at their manufacturing/warehouse to get an idea of their production process and samples. We ended up choosing a classic shake style kitchen with an off set natural oak color island to contrast. There were multiple back and forth communication with Wynsie on our design because we kept changing our minds to make our kitchen functional and aesthetic to the eye with balance. Not once did Wynsie complain (to us at least) with our revisions. She was actually very understanding knowing that this design process takes time. After we finalized on the design, they coordinated with us on install dates and the people that installed our cabinets were prompt and very friendly. They took their time and used tools like lasers and levelers to make sure the cabinets were installed perfectly! After the installation, we noticed there were some dings and blemishes, so we reached out to Wynsie and sure enough, she said there was still a final touch up stage where the detailer would come back to help make it perfect. Chuy was the gentleman that came out to help finalize the details. He did a great job and even showed us how to take out the cabinets for cleaning. Of course they were also on top of the payments as we made multiple payments as progress was made. Overall we had a fantastic VIP service and our kitchen turned out exactly the way we wanted it. THank you so much for everything Wynsie, Kaz, Nina, Chuy, and the rest of the team behind the scenes!

Beautiful work initially, but unfortunately Capital Flooring did not deliver on the product or…read morestand behind the work when problems arose. In September-October 2024, we trusted Tony, the owner of Capital Flooring, with a major renovation of our first home. Tony knew this was our family home and that we live here with our children, so we placed a great deal of trust in him and his company. Initially, we were thrilled with the results. Capital Flooring did beautiful work on our kitchen, bathroom vanities, tile floors, and vinyl flooring throughout our home. It truly felt like a dream come true. Unfortunately, just six months later, in April 2025, our vinyl flooring began shifting, lifting, and cracking. We contacted Tony immediately. He assured us that he stood behind his company and his product and that the issue would be fixed. The first repair did not take place until June 2025. During that visit, the installers attempted to address the flooring issues, but they also scratched the vinyl in other areas of our home. We reported the additional damage to Tony, and his team returned a few weeks later, toward the end of June, to address it. Unfortunately, the underlying flooring problem did not stay resolved. Several months later, the same issues began happening again. We contacted Tony and his team once more. They returned in March 2026, and Tony himself came to our home to see the problems firsthand. We appreciated him coming out personally and again believed that the issue would finally be resolved. Unfortunately, the latest repair attempt made the situation significantly worse. During that visit, the installer further damaged the flooring, broke our dishwasher, and damaged our kitchen cabinets--which were also designed and installed by Capital Flooring. We were left with additional damage to our home on top of the original flooring problem we had been trying to have corrected for nearly a year. Since that visit, we have spent months attempting to contact Tony to get these issues resolved. We have called and sent messages, but our attempts to communicate have largely gone unanswered. This is the part of our experience that is most disappointing. We did not expect perfection. We expected a company to stand behind the work and products it sold us. When the flooring began failing only six months after installation, we gave Capital Flooring the opportunity to make it right. We allowed their team to return to our home multiple times and continued trying to work with Tony rather than immediately taking our concerns public. Unfortunately, after multiple repair attempts, the original flooring problem remains unresolved, our home has sustained additional damage, and we have been unable to get a response from the owner. I am sharing our experience because prospective customers deserve to know that a beautiful renovation is only part of the equation. What matters just as much is how a company treats you when something goes wrong. We invested a significant amount of money and trust into our first home. We trusted Tony and Capital Flooring to do the job correctly and, when there was a problem, to stand behind their work. Sadly, that has not been our experience. Tony, I sincerely hope you see this review and choose to contact us. We are not looking for an argument or to damage your business. We have been trying to resolve this with you for months. We simply want the flooring issue corrected and the damage caused during the most recent repair addressed. We are still willing to resolve this directly and would gladly update this review if Capital Flooring takes responsibility and makes things right. At this point, all we are asking for is communication and a resolution.

We couldn't even recognize our home after Tony made finished the remodel. It was that good!! From the very beginning, Tony was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. One thing we especially appreciated was his communication. We were away during much of the project, but Tony kept us informed every step of the way with regular updates and photos giving us complete peace of mind. His team was punctual, respectful, and highly skilled. The quality of workmanship on both the kitchen and flooring was outstanding, with great attention to detail throughout. Even more impressive, the entire project was completed in just two weeks without sacrificing quality. Our home has been completely transformed, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. It's not often you find a contractor who is honest, reliable, communicative, and delivers exactly what he promises, but Tony did just that. We highly highly highly recommend Tony and the entire Capitol Flooring team to anyone looking for top-quality work and a stress-free remodeling experience. You won't regret it! Oh and before I forget, his quote was more than fair especially for the work he has done.

We chose Ken based on a referral. He is one of the only flooring companies that carries this high end laminate flooring that looks like real wood called Karndean. What I enjoyed most about working with Ken is the fact he is constantly communicating with us at every step in the process. In addition, he made sure to help us complete the project for things that were not flooring related. For example, there are a number of smaller projects that can fall through the cracks such as painting and carpentry work that make a big difference in how the floors look. Ken took the initiative to help us button it up the small details of the project and made it look great. I would highly recommend Ken Taylor Carpets. Great dude with a great business!

We are first time homeowners and were looking forward to renovating our house and making it our…read moreown. We decided to go with Ken Taylor's Carpet & Flooring to do our floors because they carried Karndean luxury vinyl plank flooring (LVPs). The floor renovation process started out great, but everything went downhill fast. Particularly, the customer service when we tried to get them to complete unfinished work after we had paid them. The only reason why they are getting a star, instead of half a star (or less) is because the latter is not an option on Yelp. Prior to the floor installation, Ken came to our house to do the measurements, and at that time, he asked us to go to Home Depot to buy a new threshold for the door. When asked for specifics, Ken told us to buy the exact same threshold as the existing one. So we did - well in advance of the floor installation to make sure there were no delays. It turns out, Ken gave us the wrong information, but more about that later... Ken's employees came to our house on the agreed upon dates and worked on the project. Our main contact at that point was Gary - one of Ken's employees who installed our floors. As soon as they were "finished" with the installation, we received a call from Gary letting us know that they were done, and that we needed to pay them. We paid them over the phone, before we had a chance to inspect the finished product... rookie mistake on our part! When we got home and finally saw the "finished" product, we realized the project had not been completed as discussed. The threshold had not been replaced and there were several gaps between the new floors and the casing. Below are some of the pictures we took...Despite receiving two calls from Gary requesting payment, at no time were we told about the issue with the gaps. With respect to the threshold, Gary told us that he'd be back tomorrow (Wednesday) to replace the threshold since we apparently did not buy the correct one - even though we bought the exact same threshold as the existing one, per Ken. [since the threshold issue was not fixed, we had a big gap between the door and the floor, which allowed bugs to fly inside our house] Gary never came back on Wednesday to replace the threshold, despite his promise. We followed up with both Ken and Gary, but never received a set date and time for either of them to come to our house to replace the threshold and to see what could be done about the gaps. After several follow-ups on our end, Ken finally agreed to come back to our house to inspect the "finished" product. For the first time, Ken mentioned that replacing the threshold was not included in the project, but that he would do it for $100, and fix one of the gaps on the wall. Ken also told us for the first time that we had to buy another piece in order for him to install the threshold. Since we had a hard time getting in touch with both him and Gary, we asked Ken when he would return to complete the job we hired him for. He responded either Tuesday or Wednesday. It's now several days past Wednesday (i.e. it's been more than a week), and we still have not heard from him. At this point, we do not expect to hear from him, and we've decided to cut our losses (we ended up hiring another contractor to take on the project, and yes, more money out of our pocket, but we'd rather go with that route than give Ken Taylor more of our hard earned money). We understand that unexpected things come up during the renovation process, but there is no excuse for extremely bad customer service. Based on our negative experience, we felt obligated to write this review so that other people who are going through the renovation process do not make the same mistake and save themselves from the grief, headaches and financial stress...

He advised to go with the most expensive flooring, lifetime warranty, and stated it was commercial grade/will last for a very long time. He definitely told us everything we wanted to hear. So we went with him. Within 6 months, we had to call him back out due to a couple of boards buckling. Possibly because they were installed very tightly. Calling him out was a nightmare. He fought us the whole way and was extremely rude to my wife. He became very upset when we reminded him of the "lifetime" warranty. He pulled out every trick in the book to avoid repairing the parts of the flooring that buckled. Within a year of installation, there were chips, buckling, gaps and lifting of some of the boards. I didn't want to deal with him anymore so I just left it alone. My wife reached out to Steve. Once again he was very rude when we advised him of the issues.
