OMFG!!! This school is one of the worst schools out…read moretheir....really, if you want a decent education drive to fair oaks or roseville. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE !!!! I don't remember his name but all i know is he is the football coach and honestly this man seems to be to into football to even wanna fuckin teach. The class hour involved reading the book, that's it !!! no lectures no nothin !! And the tests................where OPEN BOOK !!!! OMG WTF !! I seriously just studied for the test so i did not have to read Through the chapter and have the rest of the class to text my Friends from my previous school !! Wanna know something even funnier????????? THEIR WERE PEOPLE ACTUALLY FAILING THIS CLASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My math teacher was a very good man who i often had very great conversations with but my god he needed to retire and not only that but he loved to talked about how many times he had been married !!! Oh and a word of fair warning...................you will see army recruiters gal-or on campus!!!!!!! Seriously everyday no joke !! Most if not all the teachers went to sac state ALL OF THEM !!! Propaganda issues with the U.S. Army and Sac State need to be taken care of...............their are valuble futures outside of both these life paths ! I genuinely had a bad experience here and often found myself having to read books that most schools are already dont and over with to keep up if i wanted to prevent myself from going dumb !

While he benefitted from Speech and EI, ABA was not for him. Thank God for schools like Vineland! My son has blossomed at this school. He still has social deficits but is above average in Academics! The staff at Vineland is so understanding and wonderful with the kids, from teachers, to paras, to administration, to the school nurse. If your child is in need and part of Twin Rivers School District don't hesitate to contact them!

I quickly did my research and began to gather referrals for schools. I toured Vineland and was impressed with the structure, how friendly all the staff were, and how much my mind was at ease. My daughter began preschool in Miss May's class and absolutely loved it, looked forward to going to school everyday. The school psychologist, Ms. Bartlett, the secretary, the TA's, the speech therapist, all made my daughter and family feel welcome and showed my daughter so much love. I was always so nervous about her riding the school bus, but it came a point where I had to do it for work and she was always picked up on time, safe and sound travels to school, and it took such a load off of me to know she was always in safe hands. I am so grateful that Vineland was the introduction into my daughter's education, and that she was blessed to have a village of folks ready to advocate and care for her.

I will begin with stating that our child was 6 years old in 2nd grade, which is young. He started a new school and we were getting a phone call every single day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. He is not that bad as he has had perfect days in his new school. We had already told them that he would need a transition time adjust to this new school and older schoolmates. The story begins..... The principal, Kelvin Jackson, told our child to "Shut up and come with me." after a particularly tough day at school. He did sent us an apology letter. As his father, I could accept that, but we knew that this wasn't the school for him to grow in faith or academically. We did pay over $600+ for him to be in school for a whole 8 days. We spoke with the on-site superintendent, Jason Yarbrough, (the only other review for the school, see below) after initially getting blown off by him the week before. He stated that we HAVE TO PAY $65 FOR AN EARLY TERMINATION FEE!!! We respectfully let him know that we had pulled him out from the principals actions, but that didn't matter as he continuously pointed out the behavior of our child and justify his principal. Of course we are going above and beyond to let parents know and are getting in contact with the school board. Charles

I am so happy I picked Natomas Christian School (NCS). Prior to my son starting school in August-2015 my beautiful wife and mother to my son died from cancer in January-2015. Needless to say we were still deep in our grief. I was faced with having to decide on the best school for my son that would understand the emotional trauma he was in and would work with me to make his transition as smooth as it could be under the circumstances. I looked at both public school and private schools. I quickly knew public school was not an option. My son needed a school that shared the same Christian beliefs as me, promoted prayer in school, did not use the Common Core curriculum, was affordable, had extended care, had a summer program and had small class sizes. NCS met my expectations to the letter. My son's kindergarten teacher (Mrs. Flowers) was the perfect teacher. She had a background in Psychology and was an experienced teacher. My son's transition was rough in the beginning but his teacher and school prayed for him and worked with him. In time he adjusted fine and was reading by Christmas! He is also good at double digit math and his overall confidence level has improved tremendously. I highly recommend NCS to anyone looking for a new school with small class sizes who view educating kids in the way it should be done. The staff and teachers are top notch and I'm very happy with where my son is emotionally, spiritually and academically. God Bless NCS!!

Inderkum.. COME... LET US HELP YOU GRADUATE…read more.. A few years ago, this place isn't what it is today. Today it is a place where students and everyone belong. We know we can't save everyone, but at Inderkum, we do try our best. Here's what we are offering to help the students: PSAT and SAT as part of the mandatory requirements. They got Kaplan and friends of the LIBRARY to help and now KAPLAN helping with free SAT/ACT practice test on JAN 25th at the NORTH NATOMAS LIBRARY. http://www.saclibrary.org/home/events/ under box TYPE- select TEEN under box location- select NORTH NATOMAS keep clicking on show more events under location until it shows SAT/ACT combo test Because they believe that what they have should be free and accessible to all students, tutoring is provided in the atrium . There are many great things about Inderkum. Its is no longer going to be a place that PRINCIPALS died, it is the place where people thrive. There are many things to check out at the school, but if you get the chance, come and watch the JV BASKETBALL team, they are love in motion!! They way they played, you know that their coach(es) had them practice these drills so many times because it is effortless!!!!

There are a few nice teachers I was lucky enough to end up with this year, but from what I've heard from others- and a bit from my personal experience, too- there are quite a few horrible people working at this school. The schedule planning seems like it would be a joke at first, but then you realize you're stuck sprinting up and down the stairs all day- last year I had a friend whose legs were constantly sore as he continuously had to travel from the first floor to the third and back down to the first, over and over again. All in three minutes. The campus security people blare their whistles in the echoey halls, one time my hearing in my left ear was temporarily damaged from it. There's bird crap everywhere, and nobody ever cleans off the tables, so if you just wanna sit down to eat like they're always screaming at you to do, you either run around, hopelessly trying to find a single spot where a bird hasn't done its business, or accept defeat and sit down in the disgusting substance in shame. There's so many bullies at school, constant fights breaking out left and right, all that's done about it is putting up anti-bullying posters or yelling at the people fighting to back off. I'm glad they at least break up the fights- the crowds clog up the tight halls- but seriously, could you not find ways to stop fights from happening, like teach people, I dunno, VERBAL COMMUNICATION? Which brings me to the topic of Restorative Justice, which from my experience, is a total joke. We form a circle, and then the teacher asks us things like what's our favorite candy bar, or what did we do over break. What justice does this restore? What's that even supposed to mean? If middle school is supposed to prepare us for high school, why are we spending time talking about chocolate rather than, gee, I dunno, using class time wisely so we don't get so far behind? Seriously, we get all these interruptions such as drills every month or so, and these RJ circles, we get really far behind- which is especially a problem in compacted math, as we've basically gotta do roughly 200% of a school year with only 100% of the time. Previously mentioned interruptions causes us to get tons of homework- you'll go a day with nothing to do at home but relax, then suddenly, 5 assignments due the next day that you've gotta pull of an all-nighter to complete on tie. People are so unmotivated to do the right thing at school, all they do is punish students with no rewards for good behavior. People brag about having C's and D's because they just can't care enough to do better. I've seen something growing inside the drinking fountains, and people rushing out of stalls without at least rinsing their hands, so that's a big no-no... now, this is all pretty bad, but there's some good as well. We are able to buy lunch at school (from what I hear it doesn't fill you up at all, but it's something), there are some very nice teachers who genuinely care about their students, and people who wanna make the school a better place... but it's just so awful that there's not really a way we can actually help it. I've been a member of the PTSA since I got here and found that it was available, and haven't seen any changes to the school being made, and the principal and vice principals seem to kinda wish we'd just go away, as they'll try to get something to work and show a lot of support, before yanking the rug out from under us and ruining it by incorrectly planning something or saying we can't do something or just not being able to help out. 2/5, wouldn't recommend.

The bathrooms are always locked and dirty, teachers are rude and don't care, once a student peed on his chair because the teacher didn't let him use the bathroom and the bathrooms were also all locked. Don't trust ur kids with the men there as well, I was touched inappropriately and nobody would believe me or listen. I was touched by not one but multiple. Ever since then I always wear baggy clothes that cover my body even though I already wore baggy clothes back then so nobody could blame it on what I was wearing. I'm telling you this school ruined my mental health badly and I never want to go back there ever again. And the social worker/social counselor doesn't care at all and she also twists my words and forces me to talk when I don't feel comfortable talking about something she wants to know, and she also promised not to tell anybody but then the whole office knew and both my parents, of course I didn't tell her remotely close to everything but some stuff were rlly private and it hurt when I found out practically everyone knew, I also told her about me being touched and she didn't really believe me and didn't do anything about it. I was also bullied and there was nothing done about it. I don't recommend this school at all please don't go here I'm begging you. PARENTS BE AWARE!!!
