I was greeted by the friendly hostess at the order window and the menu was nearby to see the extreme variety of meats that you normally don't see at restaurants in the bay! If you haven't tried before, order the cabeza, tripa and lengua tacos! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Full of flavor and beef that just melts in your mouth. I'd drive back a hundred plus miles just to have these again. The papusas are worth a try if you haven't tried before. They're a solid choice and I'd go with the pork and beans if you're a first timer. It's a bit hot out in Buttonwillow during the summer but they do have a bit of shade and few tables as you enjoy your authentic tacos!

Later, because I needed to find out, I turned to Google and discovered that the name is reserved for the older generations of Salvadorans. I took this to mean it was more traditional Salvadoran food. It is a simple dining area with an open layout. Our server came out quickly, but because we needed more time with the menu, we asked her to come back. That took a while. The food was good and the portion sizes were ample. I had the Pachuga de crema. It comes with rice and beans. The beans had a different, thinner texture. I had some of the salsa to add a bit of flavor. Everyone at our table ordered something different. Everyone enjoyed their food.
