Some of the best tamales de elote in the city, but you have to visit Valle Dorado for the hot corn action. The tamales are made by hand, and pure corn style (no masa in the filling). Flavors of tamales I have tasted here: piña, elote, queso con rajas. The cóctel de elote is also a great deal and comes loaded with queso, limón, mayo, mantequilla, papitas of various kinds. Elotilocos & nachos con elotes also on the menu. This place is open only in the evenings (beside the Oxxo), from 6 - 10, but it's worth return visits to explore the full menu.
The two sisters who run the business are the kindest and coolest. When their mom is joining them, it's likely there's music and a little singing/dancing to brighten your dinner hour. It's a fun time for a late night elote craving. read more
