I was a destination bride living in Texas, with a father in Baton Rouge fighting cancer, trying to plan my wedding in New Orleans. I had quite a few hurdles. I found Carol through word of mouth. Carol is a native of New Orleans with 15 years in event planning, including large corporate events and with the past 8 years in weddings. She has a large network and strong connections with local vendors. She is creative and determined. She is professional and caring. I had already found my venue when I contacted Carol, who then helped me find my band, florist, cake baker, makeup artist, hair stylist and ceremony music players, etc. She helped plan the rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon and the day of the wedding. Carol did all the things that I was unable to do for myself. She provided me with options and quotes, helped me to determine the most reasonable budget without sacrificing quality. I would make visits to NOLA during the wedding planning; Carol would arrange all my appointments and take me to meet with vendors. She help me pick out colors for my bridesmaid dresses, colors and types of flowers, venue decor, venue favors, invitations, gift ideas, etc. 5 days before my wedding, Hurricane Isaac hit New Orleans. Can you imagine the stress? Carol kept my sanity intact. Carol was without electricity for several days, and was still working behind the scenes to followup with my vendors...(i.e. had they had evacuated, were they safe, would they have power to cook our food, would my flowers be delivered and would the flowers survive without refrigeration?) I had to most amazing wedding. Everything came together beautifully. There were many NOLA brides that weekend without flowers, no makeup artists, no catering, etc. I was very blessed to have everything, to have my dream wedding. The yoga instructor is calming; it makes for a peaceful begining. The goats are so adorable and there were babies in the spring, not more than maybe 8 lbs or so. They have you set up outside, on your yoga mats (don't forget to bring a mat - they supply thin ones in case you forget). and there is a small fence around your yoga group so the goats cant get out. The group is maybe 10 or 12 people. If it rains, they have a tent set up so the yoga goes on, rain or shine. And you just a nice, hour long relaxing time in this beautifully, tranquil garden. After you finish the best yoga in the city, they offer vegan empanadas as a nice snack and a baseball hat with the Paradigm Gardens logo on it. You can bring your own water and they have nice clean bathrooms as well. They are doing everything right! Everyone should experience the joy of goat yoga!
