Honestly I was, at first, thinking this was a lot. But I quickly changed my mind. I was assured they knew I chose the right hospital! Registration was so easy, the associate was extremely professional but also had such an amazing personality. She could see I was nervous, she took the time to stop for a minute to let me know I was in good hands. She wasn't saying that just to say it, she has experienced all kinds of services and she would never go anywhere else. I feel bad I forgot her name because this was 3 days ago. 8/17/26 6:30 pm is when I met her. Fast forward to today, arrival was 5:45 am I went up to the second floor and check in was smooth - all of my information was accurate so I just waited for my turn, I made sure to get names this time! My journey began with Pre-Op nurse NATALIE, best beginning to my scary day! Her bedside manner should be standard. So kind and patient, explaining everything. She raved about the ELMHUST Team in comparison to other facilities/ experiences. The next step to my journey was surgery, Nick was my OR Nurse, again explained what's happening and the team that would be in there. Margaret, Anesthesiologist Nurse and Dr Bautista, Anesthesiologist . Just as amazing Margaret heard my surprise with the OR table and helped to reassure me. Dr Bautista was fast but clearly explained what his job was and what the procedure would be. Margaret had a CCU nurse but I couldn't remember her name ( I'm sorry) she was so sweet smiling the entire team did Great! Next stop over to Post Op and Wendy! I don't remember much but I do know she stayed close, she was kind. She explained everting went well and the Dr had already notified my family. I think I slept a lot of Post OP because she said after a little while they need me to stay awake, she told me where I was going next and I was rolled away! Off to Observation a new unit in the first floor near the ER. It was really nice- clean and definitely everything new. STAFF! Kudos to all of them for their professionalism, kindness, comforting words and supportive comments. Everyone was GREAT!! RN: Ricky PCT: Elizabeth RN: Jaquita PCT: Xavier PCT: Marilou Literally everyone was a little ray of Sunshine. I didnt have any bad experiences. Apologies for my winded review but if you chose Elmhurst Hospital for your Outpatient Surgical Services you will not regret it! PS my Surgeon Dr Ryon Hennessy and his PA are from Orthopedic Specialist. I will do a separate review for that team. Also Hospital OT team, I will do a separate review but still GREAT

I arrive at the ER by ambulance around 10:30pm... by 3:30am, a doctor had not even spoken to me yet. I did (finally) have x-rays done, but by 330am, I just wanted to GO. My foot was killing me, my dogs needed to be let out, I was SO TIRED, but EVERY EFFING TIME I started to fall asleep something or someone would wake me up. I was right next to the nurses station, so I had to listen to them yammer on and on about how he used to be married, but he's not anymore and blah blah blah and on and on I finally BEGGED them to LET ME GO HOME! I had to be up in 4 hrs and still needed to take care of my dogs! Well, someone needs to look at your X-rays 1st. I told them I didn't care anymore, but could they PLEASE call me an uber so I can GO HOME?! The male nurse was as snide as can be, "It's not a jail, you can go anytime". I said I needed an uber because the ambulance brought me in and my foot HURT and it's a 3 hr walk home. "Well, they're not gonna pay for anything until they look at your xrays" this ASSHOLE of a nurse says. And then, "Why don't you call someone?". At THREE THIRTY IN THE MORNING?! Maybe HE is an ASSHOLE to HIS friends and family and has no problem waking them up at 330am, but I'm not. Will NEVER go back to this ER as I'm HOBBLING HOME ON MY FUCKING FOOT FOR THE NEXT 3 1/2 HOURS. WTF! ALSO, I KNEW your Google reviews were some BULL SHIT when I saw them. Yeah, your Yelp reviews make a LOT more sense. Don't leave me some generic-ass response like you have everyone else to please contact the stupid experience team You want me to change my review and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO ME? CALL ME! Otherwise don't bother to respond EDIT: I wrote this review as I was hobbling home. I DID get a ride from the Hillside police after a little more than an hour and couldn't take it anymore

I credit this office, Dr. Kolb, and receptionist Patty, for helping me grow up with not only no fear of the dentist, but actually looking forward to going there. They truly KNOW us, and always ask how my parents and sibling are doing (and remember what is going on from the last time they were in for cleanings, etc). As far as services, the office is gorgeous, sparkling clean, huge with so many bays, new kits are always used, the most up to date technology is constantly coming in, and rarely am I told that a service is not available at this office or a dental specialist is not available on site to help me out (only when I've needed intricate oral surgery). Everyone is very professional, but like I said, I make the drive back to this office because I love the fact that the people here are all so friendly, and Dr. Kolb and Patty are people I have known since I was a kid. I even know many of the hygienists, but even people I don't really know are wonderful, friendly, and professional. I can honestly say I have never had a negative experience here. It's a wonderful, clean, professional office, and even when that scary cavity drill has started (yeah, happens to the best of us) I haven't been nervous, because I trust my dentist completely. If I were just a good dental patient, I'd switch offices to somewhere closer to home. But I love this office. It's worth the 45 minute drive. They're just that great.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!…read more I just walked out of my cleaning appointment at Dr. Malecki's office and I must say, I am blown away by what I just experienced. I didn't even get to see Dr. Malecki. I walked out before I even got done dealing with his assistant. I checked in with the receptionist and then a woman named Carol, who I am assuming is some sort of assistant, got me all setup for my cleaning. She sat me down, put the little drool towel on me, and then sat next to me and pulled up some x-rays that were taken about 6 months ago on my last visit. She then proceeded to start a completely incoherent rant that went like this, "I dont know if we should take new x-rays. I'm not sure what we are going to do today. These x-rays that we have are only of the left side of your mouth. So maybe we should take full mouth x-rays. I'm not sure. I don't know if we are going to do that or not today. I think we could, but I don't know. Because all I see here is the left side of your mouth. So I'm not sure what we are going to do today. I don't really know." HUH? At this point I start off by correcting her. Carol, those x-rays are actually of the right side of my mouth, not the left side. She said, "oh, you're right. Forgive me, I just got back from lunch." But in addition to correcting her, I also told her that her uncertainty and her constantly saying she's not sure and that she doesn't know what we should do isn't exactly giving me any confidence in her, and maybe it's best if we don't do anything today. You should know that I'm here for a cleaning. That is what I scheduled. So why do you keep saying that you don't know what we are going to do today and you're not sure what we are going to get done? And as for the x-rays, you are the "expert" not me. So you tell me if we need them or not. She then goes, "okay well lets just dive right in then." and she starts to lay out a few tools. But then after 30 seconds she again starts rambling... "you know, without x-rays it makes it hard to do anything because I cant see what I'm getting into beforehand. So I dont know. Maybe we should take x-rays. I'm not sure what we should do today." At this point, enough is enough. I get out of the chair and cancel the appointment. I personally don't know if x-rays are or are not needed, because I'm not the freakin' dentist. You are supposed to be the professional. Not me. If we need x-rays, fine. I am there to see a professional and follow their expertise and guidance, but this woman literally said she didnt know and she wasn't sure easily 20 different times, if not more than that, all within the matter of like 3 or 4 minutes. Part of me wonders if she had a beverage or two on her lunch break because she didn't seem to have any desire at all to do any actual work. So again, I didn't even get to see Dr. Malecki. All I got to do was deal with some woman, Carol, who made it seem like it was her first day on the job, even though when I confronted her about this she claimed to have 30 years experience. There was no confidence coming from her. No certainty. No reassuring. No decision making. Everything was "I dont know" and "Im not sure." I am there to see a professional and have the work performed by an expert. Carol came off as completely clueless (incorrectly identifying my existing x-rays), unsure of herself, incapable of making a decision and completely unqualified..... I am blown away by what I just experienced. Part of me thinks that maybe she was trying to "up sell" the x-rays in addition to the cleaning, but all of the "I dont know" and "Im not sure" junk was just sooo alarming. Had she just said, "you need new x-rays" I would have been like okay, cool, because she's supposed to be the expert. But "maybe you need them. maybe you dont. i dont know if we are going to do that or not. im not sure. i dont know what we are going to do today." WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?!?!?! No thank you, Carol. I will find a different dentist who does know and who is sure.
