This roadside stand had so much potential! I wanted to love it so much... but greed has a funny way of ruining something good. I understand that we all need to make a profit, but this place was super overpriced. Lets start with the prices but keep in mind you also have to fight through the flies to get to any produce. 7 dollar watermelons, "local" corn (in spite of the fact that all the eastern shore corn is about 18-36 inches tall and no where near tassels) for a whopping 6$ a dozen. The prices went from bad to worse and I could even see paying that kind of money for fresh top notch local produce... but it was mediocre at best. This place even had a shopping cart full of 1/2 rotten cantaloupes with a swarm of flies buzzing around them for a 1$ each. Maybe they should have been 1$ for two of them three days ago. Props on the venison jerky (even if it was 26$ a lb) and clean bathrooms They need to get their flies and prices under control.

Fresh produce , straight from the farm eggs, jams and jellies, fresh mozzarella , flowers, herbs, ripe melons, etc. Always have to stop here on the way back to MOCO from the beach to stock up on all the goodies. Italian ice and fresh lemonade and sweet tea too. Also a gift shop off the back with nick nacks, country cook books and a wall of Yankee candles. Red bull if you need a pick me up. Specials on past prime produce. I got a bag of cucumbers for 1$ and they were still great just a couple spots needed trimmed off. I love this place!

(6/28/2015) Trixsy little market on 404 on the route to the shore. Prices are high, fruits and veg may or may not be local, and they may or may not tell you. Sometimes there are labels like "Eastern Shore-style Cantaloupes" or "if we didn't tell you, you'd swear it was a local tomato." I don't mind supporting small family businesses, but caveat emptor. Bonus: guy with a pickup smoking racks of ribs in the parking lot. Smelled hog-heavenly.

This place is awesome. The staff is friendly. The produce/products are great. We stop here on our way to the beach and on our way home.

I was charged $16.00 for 5 apples, 2 zuchinnis and some carrots. What? Not again, I don't think so.

They sell amazing products in their retail farm stand and also offer wholesale produce to several grocery stores and restaurants on the Delmarva peninsula. This locally owned and operated business was originally started as a way for founder Shane Marvel to pay for college. Nine short years later it is a way for him to support his family and give back to the community. In business since 2013 they have expanded from a one acre produce production farm  to a 40 acre operation to include 40 acres of grain production in 2022. Their quality produce and unmatched customer service resonates throughout the community! We have been buying produce from them since returning to Delaware in 2020 and are glad there is fresh local produce to buy. We love supporting locally owned and operated businesses. They also have locally sourced products on the shelves from scrapple, sauces, and homemade Smith Island Cakes. So, if you love a good farmers market and love to support local businesses then look no further than Marvelous Produce!

While you see thousands of watermelons, tomatoes, ears of corn and more the true test is the taste, a little hard to do when you passing by market after market. With delivery AND a loyalty card built in - how can you beat that? Having purchased huge peaches and plums, my first thought it was appearance is always better than the taste. Not in this case. I stuffed all the produce in the refrigerator in a bag, as I seem to be a magnet for fruit flies and produce left out on the counter. Two weeks later, TWO WEEKS LATER, in an excursion to the beach, we grabbed the fruit and headed out. It was as it was picked yesterday. I needed multiple napkins for one peach and plum as the juice exploded with every bite. Yes it was that good. Add to this the generosity, cordiality, and hard work you sense coming off the Marvels' when you visit their stand, having experienced the generosity and abundance of the Mums in the Fall season, and Mums that added to the decor of a school Homecoming, you see based on the amount of produce, the quality of the produce, and the service you receive, this is one of the best finds that make the state Delaware. Sounds like a boast that is larger than life and larger than reality, but try out Marvelous Produce once, you will remain in the same category.

This is more my speed than Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I'm a glam country girl and will forever be. Flowers, plants, fruit, vegetables, farm fresh meats, dairy, bakery items, etc, etc, etc. High quality, always fresh. Store is always clean. They just did an expansion of the store making more space for product placement & customers to roam. I love the open market feel. Staff...always friendly professional. I could have a bad day and coming here instantly cheers me up. Prices... health costs money but copays cost more. You choose. Parking... decent. The turnover is quick and I've never had to wait to park. People are usually in & out. Issues... the only herbs they sell is cilantro. I'm ok with that (mostly). But I really wish they had mint & basil. They are closed during winter. Makes sense but... Those are the longest 4 months for me.

I love getting my seasonal produce from there because it is so fresh and flavorful. They also have locally sourced baked goods, jams, spices, and candies. The plant selection is also unreal. They have about 8 greenhouses all filled with different plants. Feels like walking through a local garden rather than a nursery. A plus is also that they usually have a food truck on the weekends. The day I went was Mikes Gelato.

On this visit, I tried the Blueberry Banana Smoothie and the Turkey Sandwich at their cafe. The smoothie was incredible, vibrant purple, perfectly thick. The turkey sandwich was equally impressive; the bread was toasted to a perfect golden brown, and the balance of the melted cheese and sauce made for a great brunch. Beyond the cafe, it's the perfect spot to grab some fresh fruits and baked goods for home. Definitely a local gem!

We were hoping to find peaches that were more ripe because they were local. We found about two peaches that were a little softer but they had no smell. I was suprised that there were so few local items. If I wanted goods made in PA, I'd go to PA. I asked which produce items were local and it sounded like almost none of them. You can get baked goods, produce, bottled and jarred items like pickes, candy, meats, and "homemade" deli items. There were plants for purchase, some outdoor furniture, and a cafe. The best part of the place ended up being the animals. We fed some goats and took a phot with the large bull statue. I think this would be a great place to bring kids to see the animals. I don't think it's worth the drive if you're staying on the coast because it's mostly grocery store quality produce and items you can get for less elsewhere. But, if you need something to do with kids and you're close by, it's worth a stop.
