I am currently staying here for respit. The children's center is a very welcoming and great place (I stay at heron hall so im not sure about the other sides) The staff is very kind and supportive! The food is not bad at all. The bedrooms are clean. And for the most part its a very nice place to stay and be able to think and recover. Updated:Some staff are ok. They've worked extremely hard to accommodate some things to work with our child and us, the family better. Not all staff are "bad". Since staff seems to change frequently, it depends who is actually working there. Some kids are out of control and they do their best to help the child and the situation. However, don't be a lazy parent. If you see something that is questionable, ask. Get answers. Advocate for your children. They need parents who want to work to help their children. Your children need you to help them. I'm not 100% for Elmcrest but I have seen improvement to some extent and I have seen them try to help more. But it all starts with you as the parent. Your child needs you to be on board, to love them and help them with their struggles. read more
