I will post this here too. LWA is an awful school. I spoke to a teacher at a different school, funny enough they attended LWA as a kid and ended up mentioning the pressure was so bad that they ended up leaving the church when they got older. They are a full-grown adult and admitted that they themselves think this school and their church are a cult, which really says something. The only people leaving good reviews are the people that have attended this school since childhood. If you do not attend their church or grow up with the other students, they shun and exclude you. Christians are meant to be loving, correct? You preach this yet I have heard the very principal of the school say that he would in fact "rip a pride flag off a student's bag". I understand there are Christians who do not approve of LGBTQ+ but the mockery and hatred that is displayed to students for categories of such people is shocking. (If the number of students I've talked to all left a bad review, the schools rating would be as bad as Nottinghams.) This principal has also stated in a morning chapel that "introverts are not true Christians" as his exact words. I thought God was the one who judged or decided who was a true Christian, which is pretty interesting- after all, being naturally shy is no fault of their own, what an extremely rude and insensitive thing to say. Maybe you should actually read your own bible before judging, doesn't the same bible you obsess over say to respect and love everyone even if you don't agree with them? (Punishment is almost never correctly administered here either, speaking from experience- certain students are openly favored.) They constantly uplift themselves with high regard that they are better than just about every other school in the state, that their education is the "best" when the different public schools I've gone to all have advanced courses with many other varieties of side classes you can take. I could go on and on about personal experiences here- it is a hateful, misogynistic, basic "Christian" school. If you still really want to go to a private school- go to Faith Heritage (FH), Word Of Life Christian Academy (WOLCA), Bishop Grimes (BG), or Christian Brothers Academy (CBA). There was an incident where it seems that there is an issue with controlling guns in students bags on campus, the issue was not found out about until months later as a bonus, makes me question the safety of students. And you pray to a god to watch over your students? I'd probably put more trust into my child's bulletproof backpack rather than a morning prayer. And weirdly enough "retard", which some people would even consider a slur, is commonly used by some teachers and once again even the principal himself. ( a MEMBER of the church and previously the school janitor was also caught and arrested with CP, LWA should be more concerned about someone possessing CP rather then emailing parents that their daughters skirt is an inch too short.) Of course all of this is done best to be hidden away from the public view and I wonder what else has been disclosed. Overall this school is a joke, schools specifically like LWA just indoctrinate children, in my opinion, children are innocent and should be left out of a religious conversation altogether, let alone be forced to grow up in an entire school that preaches fear of an unknown and unprovable being. Some things being preached in the mandatory sermons are extremely questionable. Yet students are raised as kids here and see nothing wrong with it. All I have to say is that LWA restricts points of view, your religious belief will stay strong and unchallenged- but the views from people that are different are driven away, insulted, and some could say even discriminated against in many ways. Simply put there are schools that are so much better. And just like what someone else said, stop indoctrinating children and find a better hobby. This school is not what it seems. read more

I went to school here K-12, as did my mom and her two sisters as well as all their children. Its a multicultural school that has a direct focus on the students relationship with Jesus Christ and how they even in their youth can further the kingdom and the spread the good news of the gospel. Most of the staff is of volunteer base and simply want to give of their time to better serve the children and help them draw closer to the Lord. There are many after school programs (art, music, drama, sports including volleyball and track) that are all put on by volunteers as well. Each morning starts with chapel where students get to worship and praise the Lord and then hear a brief message by a member of staff - or one of their own peers about the goodness of the Lord! What a way to start the day! The students are taught to do whats right, be of good moral character and treat each other and everyone else around with them with respect and the love of Jesus Christ. It's a tight nit school and a great place to send your child to give them not only a good education but also to bring them up with a foundation of Godliness. read more

This school focuses more on fear of being "condemned to hell" than the mental and emotional health of their students. As a former student of LWA, I was severely bullied and it was ignored. We were ruled by fear. We weren't allowed to wear pants in public, weren't allowed to speak to anyone outside of the church... this establishment is a cult. No better way to describe it, I am permanently scarred from this experience. Do not send your child here if you don't want to fund the years of therapy required to mentally and emotionally recover from this experience.
