I have had other family members at 2 different facilities in the Northwest suburbs and Symphony far surpassed them. Were there any glitches during the 6 weeks? The answer is yes. But the positives far out weigh any negative experience. All of the managers were exceptional when it came to addressing any issues we expressed. The Administrator to the Director of Nursing to the Social Worker and the head of the Therapy Department and the Reservation Manager were all highly approachable. I would like to mention by name, Lindsay and Andrea, the Occupational Therapist and the Physical Therapist were outstanding. When my family member first arrived at Symphony they could not sit on the side of the bed, could not sit themselves up and could barely walk even with assistance. By the time they left Symphony they were able to walk 200 feet with a walker. My loved one requires dialysis and the fact that Symphony offers dialysis was a Godsend. My loved one had to go to the hospital once per week for chemotherapy and Symphony arranged for transportation. The same for the 10 sessions of radiation they had to have...10 days in a row. If you find yourself in need of a rehab facility I hope you check out and consider Symphony in Buffalo Grove. They, for sure, far exceeded my expectations.

I was referred to Dr. Bahuguna by my wife's psychiatrist, and I am so happy with the care she provides. I see her biweekly, and she takes the time to check in on me, and she addresses my needs every session. She doesn't just ask me how I am, write on a prescription pad, and tell me to leave. She takes her time with me, asks me about the things going on in my life, and she listens to everything I bring up to her, offering sound advice that I take seriously and apply to my everyday life. As for her office, the setup is really great for privacy. The waiting room has a tv that's set to a good volume so you can hear it perfectly, and not hear anything in from her office. She also has two doors so you enter from one, and leave from another, which provides privacy for you and the next patient in the waiting room. You never see the next person, nor do they see you. If you need a psychiatrist you can trust, I highly recommend Dr. Bahuguna. I've been seeing her for about two years, and I'm very pleased with the care she provides.

How a doctor can give you a physical over the telephone without checking your heart, blood pressure, weight etc. is beyond me. When I called for more information about my appointment, as I was not aware if I was to receive a call or a video link and it was to start at 8am - I received attitude over the phone about the doctor "having an hour to call me." I explained that I did NOT originally schedule a telehealth visit so I was confused to the process. I was told that I would get a call from an "Unknown Number" within the hour to administer my physical. (???) I then received a phone call an hour later that was the "pre-screen/intake" call asking about my insurance information. I asked them if I would be charged to my insurance as an annual physical because this is just going to be a telephone call, they said "Yes, as the doctor can just order your tests and you can come in on your own time." I was told again I'd have the doctor call me imminently. Fast forward TWO hours when I call THEM to figure out what was going on. As my appointment was now scheduled three hours in the past and I didn't have anyone call me. From there I was told there are "notes in for the Dr. to call," and they "may need to reschedule." The next appointment is in April. When I said it's not acceptable for me to have my annual physical 7 months late and that I have been more than accommodating as I was physically ON MY WAY TO THE OFFICE in the morning and now I can't get a phone call back. From there I was told that a nurse "could" call me this afternoon to approve the necessary tests associated for a physical. I am STILL awaiting a call. HOW IS THIS THE STATE OF HEALTHCARE IN CHICAGO AND NORTHWESTERN IN 2023? It's unprofessional, rude and unacceptable. No one at that office would dare accept this as their standard of health care and it's poor service all around. UPDATE HERE: It's a day after and I've received NO CALL from a doctor - they essentially canceled my appointment and never got back to me ... but DID make sure to send me a "visit summary." I am being treated for allergy shots, and my husband for chronic sinus issues and asthma. We absolutely LOVE everyone there. The receptionist is so warm and friendly. She always greets me with a smile - she's like a ray of sunshine every time I walk in. The insurance specialists are so knowledgeable and have excellent follow up skills. Insurance is typically a pain, but they make it all a breeze! The nurses are so sweet and gentle. I get three shots every visits, and they make it so I don't feel a thing! They are hilarious to boot, and always get me laughing when I see them. And, it's no wonder why Dr. Klein was selected as one of Castle Connolly Medical's top docs of 2017. He is a true expert of his craft. He does not rush through your visit in order to see more patients. He is THOROUGH. He gives each and every patient the proper time and attention to adequately diagnose and treat the problem. He makes himself available after hours in case of emergency. He spent over 30 minutes talking to my husband after 9pm to discuss his results. Together, the staff create a wonderful experience for us. Dr. Stein didn't just accept the false positive, she contacted the radiologist and reviewed my scans several times, until acceptance was the only option. She is very busy, as Oncology are her other patients. So she may run late because others may have more issues as they fight for their lives. I personally am fine with that. When meds were only partially doing what they are designed to do, she picked up the phone to discuss adding another med to see if the overall effects could improve over the next month.
