I worked at NYOH and had a mixed experience overall. While the organization serves an important…read morerole in patient care, there were ongoing concerns related to workplace culture and consistency in policy enforcement. One of the most concerning issues I observed involved inconsistent adherence to medication handling and patient privacy protocols. Situations occurred where policies did not appear to be applied equally among staff, which can create risks in a healthcare setting and undermine accountability. Additionally, communication and conflict resolution within the workplace were challenging. Concerns raised were not always addressed in a transparent or supportive manner, which made it difficult to feel heard or supported as an employee. I believe strongly in patient safety and fairness in the workplace, and it's important that all staff are held to the same standards regardless of role or tenure. I hope the organization continues to improve in these areas, as consistency and accountability are critical in healthcare environments. Pros: Meaningful work, opportunity to support patients Cons: Inconsistent policy enforcement, communication challenges, workplace culture concerns

From contradictory information to rude clinicians, we would not recommend this cancer center…read more When faced with a cancer diagnosis, you want to feel cared for and safe. While my doctor was thorough and knowledgeable, he set my expectations for what chemo treatment would be. Upon checkout, the scheduled changed the doctor's plan stating their providers aren't knowledgeable of their latest policies and procedures. I received a call a few days later which, again, changed my treatment schedule. I have no faith they know what they're taking about. While my NYOH doctor stated the importance to coordinate care with another one of my specialist doctors, he subsequently refused to do so. Why? If you're faced with the need for oncology/hematology care, run to find another provider. Do not go here!

To Dr. Elaine Cheon-Lee, patients are just a source of money. She doesn't care about your health…read moreconcerns. Don't ask questions during your annual checkup. If you do she will charge extra. That's what happened to me. After Dr. Cheon-Lee did a quick routine examination, I asked her a question: Is there anything I should know or be aware of about entering menopause? I made it clear I am not interested in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) because of its side effects. I wanted to know if I should consider a bone density test or perhaps taking supplements. The doctor recommended a couple of OTC supplements and then brought up HRT. She started badgering me about trying a cream that she assured me has minimal side effects. I finally gave up and said OK just to get out of there. To my surprise I received a $130 bill for an "office visit". This was in addition to the $188 my insurance company paid for my annual women's health exam. When I reached out to Dr. Cheon-Lee I was told the hormone replacement therapy was not part of annual visit; therefore I was charged for an additional visit. She agreed the bill was unexpected and acknowledged I wasn't informed in advance there would be a charge. This came after I repeatedly told her I wasn't interested in HRT given its side effects for women with a medical history like mine. So CareNet patients, be wary about asking your doctor questions without also asking what it will cost for an answer. If you receive an unexpected charge, don't waste your time reaching out to your doctor or trying to discuss the issue with the management team. No one cares about patient satisfaction. Your concerns will be ignored. I filed a complaint with my insurance company, which said it will keep Dr. Cheon-Lee on its radar. I will pay this bogus bill, so it doesn't affect my credit report. But CareNet has gone downhill as shown by the number of 1-star reviews it now receives. My advice: Skip this place and go somewhere with honest doctors who listen to and care about their patients.

Horrible, they do not respect patients or give them the time of day. Do not go here. You will feel…read moreignored.

She will try her best to get you in that same day, explain what is going on, take blood work to check my levels and much much more! Although eventually I might need a left knee replacement and not looking forward to that, I will always praise her for her kindness and understanding every time I go in to get my Remicaid treatments, knees drained or whatever I am in there for. There have been times when I just can't take one more knee drained, medication or Remicaid infusion and I am mentally and physically exhausted over these symptoms but she is always there to give me hope and I know it could be worse if she wasn't treating me. Things have gotten better its just my 1 left knee now that keeps filling up with fluid. All of my joints are better. I will see an ortho to deal with that and hopefully just get it cleaned up by a quick procedure. Christine Rotterdam, NY
