While my doctor was thorough and knowledgeable, he set my expectations for what chemo treatment would be. Upon checkout, the scheduled changed the doctor's plan stating their providers aren't knowledgeable of their latest policies and procedures. I received a call a few days later which, again, changed my treatment schedule. I have no faith they know what they're taking about. While my NYOH doctor stated the importance to coordinate care with another one of my specialist doctors, he subsequently refused to do so. Why? If you're faced with the need for oncology/hematology care, run to find another provider. Do not go here!

I was referred to CareNet, so I didn't read reviews before making my first appointment, and after reading the reviews I was pretty surprised. I have nothing but good things to say about my CareNet experience, and while I provided some of this feedback directly to the physician, I want to put it out there for other review readers. My prenatal office experience was good, regardless of the doctor I saw or office I visited. CareNet has many doctors, and I believe there is someone for everyone (unless you want a man). All different personalities, ages, ethnicities... whatever criteria you find important, I imagine you can find a doctor at CareNet. When you're pregnant you try to see all doctors, because you get the doctor on call for delivery. I enjoyed all doctors in different ways. I was always checked in and seen promptly, and treated with care and respect. My postnatal office experience was equally good, with PAs who were happy to help out this breastfeeding mom with carrying car seats, holding the baby during weigh ins, giving time to feed on demand, and even encouraging holding during exams. My labor and delivery and recovery at Bellevue was great! After such an experience, I wouldn't want to have a baby anywhere else, with any other group. Dr. Piraino was the doctor on call that day. The universe has ways of working I guess - she was exactly what I needed that day. She was calm and directing, and encouraging. She made eye contact with me, and engaged my husband in the process. She checked on me the following two days, and made sure I was physically comfortable and comfortable transitioning from the hospital to home. I really cannot say enough good things. I look forward to baby #2.

She will try her best to get you in that same day, explain what is going on, take blood work to check my levels and much much more! Although eventually I might need a left knee replacement and not looking forward to that, I will always praise her for her kindness and understanding every time I go in to get my Remicaid treatments, knees drained or whatever I am in there for. There have been times when I just can't take one more knee drained, medication or Remicaid infusion and I am mentally and physically exhausted over these symptoms but she is always there to give me hope and I know it could be worse if she wasn't treating me. Things have gotten better its just my 1 left knee now that keeps filling up with fluid. All of my joints are better.
