It's a fenced in pool with plenty of room to lay out in a chair or on a towel either on the grass or the concrete surrounding the pool. The pool itself reaches about 13 feet at its deepest but is sectioned off for different level swimmers. Parking wasn't bad, there's a small lot for the park and also side street parking. Outside the pool is a park itself to visit either before or after swimming. Feels to be in a safe secure location, would definitely recommend visiting either with friends family or even solo.

There were about 15 people in the pool at 3:30 and they kicked out everyone in the pool because 20 more people wanted to come into pool area. 4 lifeguards. Just very confusing why pool had to close when at 2/5 of the capacity. Was given 5 minute warning that pool was "closing but you can try to come back at the top of the next hour" More warning would've been nice :) Overall a nice spot but the guards were saying the pool closes every 2 hours, $15 for 2 hours might not be worth it. Decided against getting the season pass because of this info, there are other pool season passes that are cheaper and don't kick you out.

Think more "DIY charm with deferred maintenance." Only one of the two showers in the men's bathroom worked, and the outdoor shower looked like it had retired early. The shade cloth overhead was thin, ripped, and flapping in the wind like it was waving a white flag. That said, the water itself? Perfect. The big pool stayed at a great temp, and if you wander into the "lobster pot," prepare to boil yourself like you're on the menu--it's hot hot. Lots of room to spread out and catch sun, which was a big plus. Now, the real warning: dusk. When the sun dips, the mosquitoes come out like they've been fasting for weeks. I heard it's thanks to the stagnant dump water nearby, and they make sure you know they're there. Pro tip: bring bug spray or plan your exit before happy hour for the skeeters. All in all--quirks, flapping tarps, and dive-bombing mosquitoes included--I'll definitely be back. Just don't come expecting "spa chic." This is a hot springs with character (and a sense of humor).

For proof that they don't care about neighbors, today they are cleaning the pool before opening for the season and I was woken up by heavy equipment noises at 6:30 am. The city noise ordinance says you can't start until 7am. I just wish they were held to the same rules that residents are, since they operate within a residential neighborhood & not in a business district. Last year, for the first time ever, they had a live band at the end of the season. They claimed to have a noise permit, though I never saw proof. Still, I asked them to turn it down. The music was rattling my house and they really don't have the space for amphitheater volume level acoustics anyways. I spoke with the president of the pool & requested notice for events like this, because it can really mess with plans if I want to exist on my own property at the same time & he stated it will still probably happen twice a year. I doubt I'll get prior notice since I'm not paying the insanely expensive fees to be a member. In all my conversations with the pool, all I've asked for was common courtesy. And each time, even if it wasn't a mean response, which they have been at times, I've felt bulldozed and ignored because they seem to feel more important than courtesies and being a good neighbor. It's like they think- Gotta make that money. We don't care if you need earplugs inside your own house.

Even though it's a very small strip of sand surrounding the lake, it's definitely enough to call it a beach. I saw a few people walking barefoot on the sand part but most were on paddle boards and kayaks. And for those who don't want to go near or into the water you can bring your own chair, sit under a tree and read a book and chill. It looks like Prospect Park/Beach has it all and I'm so lucky I discovered it! I'm definitely coming back soon.

I hope he gets a raise. :) I would give the entire facility five stars because I enjoy this place very much, but one disappointment I continue to have is how long it takes for repairs to be made when things break. Love * Pleasant Smell when I walk into the gym. * The cleanliness of the lobby. * The natural light pouring in from huge windows. * The usually friendly greeting from the staff. * Filtered water fountains throughout the facility. * Free Ice machine in front. * Numerous class options. * The personal trainers I've met--pretty great people. * All the various sitting areas. We enjoy the separate space with many options for shade or sun. Feels like a resort. * Friendly class instructors. The ones I have experienced are encouraging without being demeaning. Don't love * Light burned out by mirror in locker room that has been so for months * Broken towel hooks in showers--also been broken for months * The smell of mold in some of the showers * The rust on the plumbing by the toilets * Certain places on the tile in toilet areas that haven't been cleaned for a long time * Blow dryers breaking and not being replaced * The ladies' hot tub being shut down for several days * How long it took to replace conditioner when it ran out. If it is a supply problem, worst case send an employee to Costco to buy several containers to hold things over until the situation is resolved. * How expensive the cafe is. * The number of cardio machines that have broken pieces that have gone unrepaired. * The decision to not carry the top shelf tequila anymore--the cheaper stuff gives me a migraine. Why not provide members the best? Be winning in the "second mile" like Chick-Fil-A! * How long it takes for broken lockers to be repaired. * Power outlet in the locker room with a sign that reads "out of service" that has been like that for months. * The various places of dead landscaping (by the entrance, by the pool bathrooms). * So many laminated signs telling us something is out of service! That's nice as opposed to hand-written signs taped everywhere. How about more energy to fix things promptly, though? * Employees power-washing the steam room during the middle of the day. Rather do that after hours? Signs are posted to discourage phone use in the locker room that hurts the atmosphere, yet power washing in the middle of the day was acceptable. This hasn't happened for a while--perhaps they've made a change on this. I am grateful they're cleaning the steam room! * Consideration for employees and how leadership decisions affect them. I've heard from a few employees (and one parent) that this is can be an unfortunate issue. All these "don't love" things, I believe, could be easily fixed with leadership being attentive. Having been in leadership in some way or another most of my life, I know just a few intentional decisions and implementation of systems of quality control could make a big difference. Maybe have certain team members walk through daily checking for details and empowering them to make work orders for repairs. Have arrangements for prompt fixes after hours! Reward your staff! Listen to them. Pay well. You'll keep the good ones longer if you treat them well. Be generous! The whole place will feel the difference, and you'll have more members joining and staying as a result. All things considered, I am super grateful to have found this gym and for my membership here. It's a very happy place for me, and I look forward to every time I'm here!
