Wish I would've taken photos of this cute shop! Located right next to Elliott's on Linden, this is a cute coffee shop/cheesemonger/butcher/specialty shop. I was looking for CarolinaGold variety rice and was recommended to this shop. They sure did have it along with other beans, grains, sauces, spices. The people working were so kind and helpful. Their lunch special today was pimento cheese roast beef grilled cheese. Drool. Their lunch menu is full of choices, and I'll be back to try more! read more

First time here, don't let dinner menu prices scare you. The lunch menu is very reasonable, the sandwiches are made with fresh quality ingredients... delicious. New to the area and went in to check out the butcher shop. Found so much more. Josh helped me and was able to answer my questions. He was very welcoming. Went back later in the day and bought more stuff. They have food, wines, and lots of sauces. Found my local hangout. read more

We were seated in a room that was used as a store which was not a part of the restaurant. My meal came to me at room temperature. I spent $165 for 2 meals that included 1 cocktail and 1 dessert. Just not ever doing that again! Great service! Just not taking care of the basics for that kind of price. read more

This place is difficult to find on yelp since it is associated with Elliott's restaurant in fact it is in the same location and dining in the actual restaurant during lunch is allowed. Everything is farm to table, very fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back. read more

3rd time visiting Provision and the food and experience are always consistent! First of all, when you walk in there is a coffee and scone bar, a book shop, a gift store, a fine foods market, and a great wine selection. After that you come to the food counter with delightful delicacies to choose from. The menu is concise, about 6 cold and 6 hot sandwiches, salads, soup and some cold deli items like pasta salad. I've tried quite a few items through coercing my friends to share, but my favorite so far is the porcetta sandwich. It has the most tender porcetta with an aioli, arugula, a pepper relish and freshly baked bread. It's just delicious! I really don't think you can go wrong with any item on the menu. The first time I went an employee recommended a glass of a vino verde (from Portugal I believe) and it was amazing! I've since gone back to buy a bottle. I'm amazed it's never very crowded when we go, but maybe people just don't know about it. They have been open for a little over a year now. Do yourself a favor and go! read more

Adore this place. Very, very friendly staff. They knew me by name on my third visit and I don't even remember ever telling it to them, nor am I an extroverted person by any means. That kind of care gets my attention though. But I wouldn't eat somewhere just for a lovely staff, I am a foodie first and foremost. Luckily, the quality of the food lives up to the quality of the people. The only difficulty with Elliots Provision is deciding whether to come back for the staff or the food and I choose both. My personal favorite is the Pulled Pork sandwich: delectably sour, vinegar based, with just enough sweet mixed in. I had never had "chow-chow" prior to trying this sandwich, but I'm a believer now. Truly exquisite pulled pork sandwich, and I grew up on home pig roasts. In the fall they had a hearty elk chili special for an extremely modest $6, I ordered two on my second trip for it. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Really unique location as well, you get to it by walking through a Scones shop, and the whole place is a part of another restaurant and food market. The experience is akin to eating in a cozy hobbit hole, except with sufficiently-sized ceiling and tables. read more

Best experience yet. I've been to Elliot's on Linden and Elliot's provisions multiple times and they always astonish me. Today, I had a hot chicken sandwich the sandwich was perfectly balanced with juicy chicken and fresh ingredients. Next, I want to talk about the decor and scenery around this home-y restaurant. Many different pieces of art and tables made my experience better. Accompanied with a very charming and caring staff and delicious presentation with fresh foods, I give this restaurant a 5 star review and maybe even a Michelin star. I love this place! I have gotten the Hot Chicken sandwich a few times. It comes with tender chicken, crisp bacon, corn relish, chipotle Mayo on a baguette. It also comes with pickled onions. You can also pay by the pound for different items there, and the to go coolers have prepared meals to take home for dinner. If you are ordering takeout lunch, I'd recommend calling ahead as they make the sandwiches at time of order and this can take a few mins if busy. They also have a wine wall and local NC produce and meat for sale. read more
