I went to the locally owned Little Sprouts to find Christmas gifts for my 2 year old and 9 month…read moreold nieces. I was so impressed with the experience that, while I don't often buy children's clothing, I will ALWAYS check out Little Sprouts before I go anywhere else! Rose, the woman working the evening I went, greeted me the second I walked through the door, and then never left my side! I had lots of questions about children's sizes and what their mother would appreciate (for instance, should I steer clear of white?). Rose answered all of my questions, using both her own experience as a mother and anecdotes from other customers. After asking about my price range and seeing pictures of both girls, Rose began grabbing outfits from all over the place...she even pulled outfits off of displays for me to look at. She did a fantastic job of showing me enough options to explore a variety, but not so much that I became overwhelmed. Once we settled on outfits, she rang me up and walked me to the door. We actually stood there and had a nice conversation...and I commented that I would definitely be back when it was time for more children's clothing. About this time, I realized that I had kept her well past closing time, and promptly apologized. Rose laughed, and told me it was no problem...I had questions, and she was more than happy to take the time to help! I will definitely be going back!

Downtown Huntington…read more I've lived in SW Florida for ten years now, and a lot of places in between, but I grew up in Huntington County. My family makes a habit of visiting the downtown area when I'm home for a visit. We visited Bend The Trend on a whim (after eating at Nick's Kitchen). The other members of our party had stopped inside before but this was my first visit. I was excited and surprised to find so many unique items that piqued my interest. My husband and I are going to be first time grandparents, so many of them were related to kids. They have some gorgeous wood banks in many different shapes and designs (piggy, turtle, owl, etc.) Since the gender of our grandchild will remain a mystery to us until their birth, I decided to hold off on some of the things that might be influenced by decisions made after we know. But I'm definitely keeping those banks in mind. At the point of our visit, I had already wrapped and prepared gifts for our daughter's baby shower. However, I couldn't resist an adorable snuggle (new to me - kind of like a soft cuddly blanket but in the shape of an animal but not stuffed). Super soft and irresistible because they had a sloth (and that's a whole other family story). No sooner had I brought it to the counter, my mom and sister were saying I had to see some of the newborn outfits. Of course, I found one I couldn't resist, made of the softest fabric and with "for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" stitched across the front. Such a fun stop and I didn't even mind I had to go find some more wrapping materials. Don't get the wrong idea, they have many other items. Things you won't find in every other shop. I was tempted by a blouse and they had a nice selection of jewelry. And on another visit, after I don't have the new grandbaby on my mind (who am I kidding?) I'll take a better look at everything else they have. In theory at least - definitely looking for those banks again.

Not only do they offer some interesting stores but there's a theatre close and tons of places to eat. It's spacious and has very nice landscaping all around. It's always clean and I feel safe each time I go no matter the time of day. It has very minimal store closings as well so it gives a lot of options to shop. Parking is plentiful in a well maintained parking lot. Large pathways to walk on while you're navigating to different areas with benches randomly place to enjoy your visit. There's a wonderful water fountain that's only on certain seasons but in the winter the put up a Christmas tree where the fountain used to flow with water. Every stage of the year they always have electing events. My two favorites are Friday night light concerts and the Christmas tree lighting. If you've never been you must go to them. Fun for the entire family. Don't worry they offer plenty of others free events as well. Plan to spend the whole day. Even if your just looking for one thing!! It's a great mall. Must try, In my opinion

This is a nice town center style mall. I really like that style as the vibe is generally much nicer…read morethan an indoor mall. And this particular mall is one that is nicer than most in this category. Accessibility is good and there is plenty of parking. The restaurants and cinema make it a particularly nice attraction. The retail also fits our proclivities very well with nice specialty shops . There's a Trader Joe's and some other favorites like Old Navy, Carter's, Michael's and Von Mauer. It's a pleasant place to spend a day, especially if the weather's nice.

This place is a delight…read more I stopped in fully expecting some sort of tacky craft store. Um no. I left with a gorgeous key chain, 3 sweaters, and a coat.
