Writing this as I experience it all! Here for a gyno visit to hopefully get on some kind of birth…read morecontrol to help me with my dramatic.... Uh.... "shark week". I'm a level bull shark rn, I'm hoping we can take things down to a nurse shark level. First impression: They did an amazing job of re creating the place on the inside, very... Clean. Which was comforting, considering this was my 4th apt that I've made, but this is my first time coming. Been too afraid to come, never been to a gyno before which is scary as it is, but it's even more scary when the only place that accepts your insurance is inside of an old circuit city! But it is beautiful, they even re did the ceiling and the lighting. Signed in at 10:57am on a Monday morning, appt was for 11.. At 11:30 I was called back and the ball started rolling! Super amazing friendly staff, joking around talking but in such a professional manner, so far so good! I'm a room, at 11:40..... Now comes the butterfly storm and the nerves that make me wanna be sick omg no. The room is very very clean, no dust bunnies no balled up gloves on the ground lol! There's 4 trash cans in here, each labeled for their own disposal purposes! So far I'm pretty comforted, only thing that's keeping me on edge is my own fear of not knowing what's about to happen within the next hour. I fear the sound of the doorknob turning *horror face enoji* And it's over! I was out before 12:45 and what even was I afraid of!!! Got all of my questions asked, and I got exactly what I wanted to get and a welcome back if something doesn't work out! Wonderful experience.

I have been going to Dr Waters since I was 13 years old! She has always been an amazing physician…read moreand I cannot imagine going to anyone else. Touro isn't my favorite location; it's a little far from my house. However, that is how much I want to keep Dr Waters as my physician. I would even go to the West Bank if that's where she moved her practice!

I recently relocated to New Orleans from the West Coast, where I had a great Ob-Gyn for many years…read more I had undergone surgery before I moved, and so needed to find an Ob/Gyn in New Orleans to take over my post-op care. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find another great doctor. Was I wrong! Dr. Waters and her staff are wonderful and I *highly* recommend this office! At first I was worried, because when I called Dr. Waters' office to book my new patient appointment, they sounded very busy and my appointment was set for FOUR months out(!). Fortunately, I was able to wait. When I arrived at the office, I "only" had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes past my appointment time, which seems to be the going rate. "Birdy" called me in to take my vitals. She was extremely nice and cheerful, and put me at ease while she did a quick history. I did not have to wait very long in the room for Dr. Waters to come in -- I waited no more than about 10 minutes. I liked her as SOON as she walked in the door! She just had a great bedside manner, and radiated a professional but comforting sense about her. I had had my out-of-state medical records sent to Dr. Waters in advance, and she had them all with her when she walked in. She said she had reviewed all the records, but she wanted to go over them with me, so she could confirm that the two accounts match. The exam went well and afterward she gave me a list of local doctors she recommends for me to establish my primary care. The check-out procedure was very quick and friendly. After I left her office, I realized that I had forgotten to ask her about one medical issue. I called the office right away and left a message for her. Within a couple of hours, Michelle, Dr. Water's nurse called me back. She said she had discussed the issue with Dr. Waters and they could refer me for some lab work right away. Michelle was *very* helpful and pleasant on the phone. I was also able to get the tests done the next day, at another facility. Michelle called me the morning after my lab tests, and she went over all the results with me (plus the results of my exam, which had only been 2 days earlier). I cannot express HOW happy I am to have found Dr. Waters, Michelle, and Birdy! Their office is wonderful, and I'm glad I have them to track not only my post-op care, but my primary Ob/Gyn care, too. A friend told me that Dr. Waters shares an office with Rebecca Perret, who is also a wonderful Ob/Gyn.
