I was lead back and given detailed instructions. The table was very comfortable. Erika used hot and hard wax for the service. The experience was mostly as pleasant as possible until she began using the hard wax. She layered the wax over a very large (and extremely sensative) area. I asked about the size of the area she was attempting and was told she always does it this way. It was the most painful wax I've had in years with this method. The appointment took over an hour when I've never had one go longer than 30 minutes. I appreciate her thoroughness but it felt like forever! After the swelling went down (several days later) I was disappointed to find out that about 20% of the hair was just broken off. Not pulled out by the root. I would not return to this spa for this service. The only thing saving the spa from a one star rating was the esthetician's friendliness.
