About 3 times after I was left waiting for over an hour, my technicians would step away mid service, and when I was actually tended to it felt incredibly rushed. It makes me feel like I only want to come when it's completely empty in the shop, or not at all. They don't take reservations, and it's hard to lock down the techs I've found I like best. I don't know if I would recommend at current service which feels a bit ironic considering I will keep trying them out for myself in hopes of chasing my first couple experiences which truly were 2 of my favorite manicures I've received in a long time.

Everything looked fine at first, but the very next day (Monday), one of the nails started chipping. I didn't think much of it since it was just one nail. By Wednesday, however, three more nails had chipped. I immediately submitted a message through their website, which clearly stated to expect a response within 48 hours. When I didn't hear back, I called today (Monday) and explained the situation to the girl who answered. She asked how I had reached out, and when I told her through the website, she said I should have called instead. Anyways, this is the only place I've gotten my nails done in Los Angeles and I won't be going anywhere else! First of all, I've always been very pandemic conscious, and I appreciated how diligent and clean Janis's place was with pandemic precautions. It's usually just her working, so you're only engaging with one person which I love more than a crowded salon. The attention to detail is impeccable. I love that she gives a discount for Occidental workers which is wonderful and this is just my favorite place to go. Always book in advance... I usually book 2 or three appointments at a time. Spaced out when I'm thinking about it. She usually doesn't have last-minute availability because people are regulars, and they book up far in advance. Wonderful work, kind person, great service.
