Okay, waxing is never going to be outstandingly comfortable. As someone who has been getting waxes of one sort and another for almost ten years, I've made my peace with that. But there is a difference between uncomfortable and stop-things-half way-through-because-it's-simply-too-ouchy levels of discomfort. Guess which one I'm about to describe?
This was my second wax here, because I do think you need to gives businesses a fair go, and this salon is so convenient for me that I really want it to work. The first time I visited, while painful, was nothing like this, and to be honest, it was one of the most, uh, "complete" waxes I've had--there was no hair left at all by the time we were done.
However, after this latest experience, I'm going to think quite carefully before going back. I did buy some of the skin care products on offer (in part because of the persistent recommendations by staff...well done, I guess?) and I've been happy with the ROI from those. Still, suffice to say, if you're considering a visit to Ella Bache, take some painkillers first and steel yourself. You've been warned. read more
