Their stations are set up throughout the property and are fun, challenging and entertaining. Mostly a place for sporting clays, some skeet and trap. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a friendly staff and fellow shooters. Prices are fair for what you pay at other ranges. Neat clubhouse with snacks and drinks to relax your feet and shoulders after a full round of shooting. Will definitely be coming back. Worth a mention, you would think a shooting range would be marking up their prices on shotgun shells but their pricing was very competitive to large stores and I actually think they had them beat. That was a great addition and I appreciate that.

Cate was a great host and we had a terrific time in the studio painting away while chatting up a storm with Cate. There are also people who walk around with falcon-gear complete with falcon on their arm. Falcons, condors, owls, and an eagle were represented. They put on a short presentation where they allow a Peregrine Falcon to fly around the room while they talk about falconing, etc. That was exciting. There are outdoor and indoor exhibits. We picked a great day to visit - it was over 80 degrees, so we spent a lot of time walking around visiting the outdoor exhibits. We didn't miss anything indoors either. If you are in the Boise area - this is a must see.

We really enjoy spending time here…read more I struggle with some animal-focused places because I would really just love to see all animals thriving in the wild. But the unfortunate reality is, sometimes, they just can't. Things like habitat loss, human conflict, or poisoning them/their prey make it extremely difficult for these guys out there. That's why I love places like The World Center for Birds of Prey. It's certainly NOT a place where they simply keep animals on display and that's the best part. Not only are they helping foster conservation of these beautiful raptors, but they're also taking the time to educate others who may not realize just how much of an impact they have on their environments. You have to experience it...at least once! One note: it's definitely family-friendly but very young kids may not be entertained as long as you want them to be. Nonetheless, I highly recommend checking it out :)

I highly recommend coming to view the museum as well as offer any Eagle area historical gems to the museum. Along with the Dry Creek Historical Society (of Hidden Springs) - these two places have really developed my curiosity for the homesteaders of Idaho. Highly highly recommend!

There seems to be a general lack of understanding about the Basque Center in Boise - certainly…read moreamong non-Basques. The Basque Center was built in 1949 and is a gathering place for Basque people in the area as well as non-Basques. It is available for rent and it has a huge kitchen in the basement for catering events. This past Saturday in support of the Basque Block Christmas Market, the Center featured the Basque music group, Txantxangorriak, and performances by Boiseko Gazteak, which teaches traditional Basque dance children from 4 to 13 years of age. It was a lively afternoon of traditional music and dance while the largely Basque crowd cheered and appreciated the show of talents. The Center is open to the public and non-Basques should not be intimidated to enter the bar for a good strong drink at a really low price. Be mindful that the Center is closed Monday, serves drinks after 3 pm Tues-Thur and has extensive hours Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Center is celebrating the 93rd Sheepherders Ball on Saturday, December 17th with a dinner that is currently sold out. After the dinner, the Oinkari Dancers (ages 14 and above) will perform at 8:00 PM, followed by a lamb auction which raises funds for the Basque Charities account. The dance, featuring the popular band "Amuma Says No", will begin after the lamb auction. The cost of admission to the dance is $5 for adults and children under 12 are admitted for free.
