I'm currently taking my second 4-week class (with a friend this time!) at Elkhorn because it was such a wonderful experience the first time I was here! Hannah and Roberto are phenomenal instructors who are engaged and present during each class, helping each student as necessary/desired, and always quick to provide tips and encouragement. I'm already amazed at how much more comfortable I am with throwing thanks to their wealth of knowledge, willingness to provide support, and unfailing kindness- and this is coming from someone is is usually very uncomfortable with activities which require creativity! I truly can't recommend this studio enough, and plan to bring more friends around in the future to share the joys of throwing pottery with them! read more

What a great venue . . . studio owners and members are so very welcoming! My daughter and I began taking lessons in early June. We have so enjoyed our experiences in this studio. We are beginners and find this is a great place to begin the journey. Roberto is an excellent instructor. He is patient in allowing us to explore, make mistakes, and recover from the experience. He is quick to laugh and fun to chat with. We make mistakes regularly, laugh, and move on. I recently took a 4-session pottery class, and it was a fantastic experience! The place has such a chill, welcoming vibe, which made it easy to relax and get into the creative flow. Roberto and Hannah, the instructors, are awesome--super friendly, laid-back, and really patient. They walk you through everything step by step, making sure you feel comfortable and confident. I had an awesome time taking classes at Elkhorn pottery! The studio is well organized and easy to adjust to, Roberto is a great teacher, the community atmosphere is wonderful, and Atlas, the resident class dog, is the sweetest. I had a great time working with the provided clay and selection of tools, and when it was time to glaze there were plenty to choose from. I have taken 2 separate 4 week classes at Elkhorn pottety and it has been the best experience! Roberto and Hannah are so helpful and friendly and make you feel welcome. Even when you mess up they encourage you and let you know it is art and unique. I will definately go back for more classes. My girlfriend and I took the 4 week class meeting once a week. Roberto and Hannah have been great instructors and have been very willing to help show different techniques. The class size is quaint and allows them to offer time to everyone as needed. I thing I have got my moneys worth and more. I would give 10 stars if possible. read more

Excellent experience at my first pottery class. The owner/instructors are great to work with. They have a wealth of experience and skill. You can buy pottery there as well. Thier studio can accommodate at least 8 students per class. There is plenty of space to throw. Love the glaze choices. They have classes going monthly. read more
