Do not send your loved one here. This nursing home changed ownership during COVID and the level of…read morecare disintegrated. I relied heavily on phone updates since I lived out of state. Answering the nursing station was not a priority to staff. Mother had dimentia and could not converse on the phone. On one call, the nurse lied about bedsores. This speaks volumes. We were not informed that our mother was bed ridden and had bed sores. We found out just before she died that she lost 17 ponds from late November 2019 until her death in January 2020. The facility's doctor put the cause of death as Covid. We were never informed in advance she had Covid. My brother lived nearby but Covid rules at the facility kept us outside her window. Prior to the change of hands, when the business was called Audubon, we felt the quality of care was good. Shocking and so sad.

I have a very good friend living at this facility. She has shared that she can only have one…read moreshower per week. This is totally unacceptable and unhealthy. Also, to save on expenses, per new ownership and management, meals and snacks have been reduced drastically in portions for these residents. She is not treated with care, and the staff has no concern for the well-being of these residents. Patients experiencing pain and discomfort receive delay in medical attention and emergency care. The environment is poor and leaves these residents with loneliness and feelings of despair. A communication with Pennsylvania's local Congress representative will be initiated.

My Mom moved into Juniper last September. She passed away on June 4th of this year. This is one of…read morethe saddest times of my life with losing her. But I wanted to send a wonderful review of the staff and facility. My Mom was no longer able to live by herself in her home because of declining mobility. It was a difficult decision to persuade her to move to assisted living, but she knew she had no choice. We picked Juniper because it's so close to our home and the staff seemed very caring and helpful. Her first week was difficult. She spent a lot of time in her room. We encouraged her to get involved in activities along with the staff and she did. Now when we called her she wasn't in her room. She was bowling, playing bingo or doing another activity. The staff really got her involved. She made a lot of friends. The nursing staff was very caring. They took care of her medications and all of her other needs. I can't thank them enough for the love and caring they showed my Mom. These ladies loved my Mom and would do anything for her. I can say that I would recommend this facility to anybody looking for a safe place to place their loved one. I miss everybody there. They made my wife and I along with our children and grandchildren feel welcome.
