We left the store, got into the car and went to a grocery store . My mom realized her mistake, took off the pants and we called the store. The next morning, we dropped off the pants. The employee was requesting $40 for a cleaning fee. I am in disbelief, we made a mistake but it should also be the stores responsibility to manage their inventory. The pants may have gotten dirty at the bottom due to being worn in the car and the grocery store before being noticed. How can this store expect the cleaning fee to be our responsibility in this situation?

She used to take a lot of stuff to Josy's a few years back and although she hasn't popped in in the last few years, she suggested we try her for our alteration needs, especially considering the shop is near where we live. Given the service we received, I'm sad to say we won't be patronizing this establishment ever again. The one lady on the floor was on the phone the entire time and although she clearly saw us come in, didn't so much as nod in our direction to acknowledge that we were there. Not a quick "I'll be with you in a minute", nor a smile. Nothing. And it didn't sound like an important business conversation from where we were standing. The lady on the upper level (whom we presume to be Josy) eventually asked if she could help us after a good three or four minute wait. After inquiring about wedding dress alterations, she asked if we had purchased it there and when we replied in the negative she said that they "usually don't do that". She then quickly changed her tune, claiming that her seamstress (who was supposedly on vacation) MIGHT be able to do it "if she had time" after altering dresses purchased there and to call back in a month (!!) when she was back from vacation. Now I'm not sure if this is the standard with most fashion places / seamstresses but I can tell you that Jean's Fashions (right down the road) was more than happy to help us out....they were actually happy to have our business and didn't treat us with contempt or indifference. I'm not sure if both ladies were perhaps just having a bad day or what but that's really beside the point. Isn't the customer king or queen? We're a pretty respectable looking young couple but even if we weren't, I still wouldn't expect such surly service. You had more than a fair chance to get our business but you lost it quite quickly!

My biggest surprise is that the price isn't that far off from stores like Moores. While Moores has low entry prices, they always add stuff, and by the time I leave the store, I've always paid a lot more than the original sticker price. With Made2Measure, you know what you pay out of the gate. And when you compare the two, you get a lot more bang for your buck! I didn't expect that! I dealt only with Hugo and appreciated the way he did business. He was thoughtful. The measuring session went great. His recommendations were spot on, and I ended up with a fantastic suit and the most comfortable shirt in my life. Put simply, I'm sure if more people knew that a store like Made2Measure provides such a high quality for your dollar, I suspect more would go there.

All I can say is WOW! Every bride-to-be needs to know about Ana Koi Bridal. Since getting engaged,…read moreI've been to numerous bridal boutiques. So much so, that I was actually getting pretty burnt out and discouraged in finding "THE dress". From looking at dresses online and trying on so many different dresses, I knew exactly what I liked and what I didn't like in a dress. I knew custom was the route I needed to go, however I didn't want to pay over a certain amount and I assumed going custom would mean going over budget. After researching and reaching out to different places that do custom wedding dresses, I found that they either charged well beyond my budget or if they were more reasonably priced, I didn't have the confidence that they would be able to make my dress exactly how I wanted. Then I came across Ana Koi Bridal. They have many beautiful dresses already made in the boutique, but they also do custom dresses (which I think is so underrated and should be advertised more)! Their atelier is in Europe, as that's where the owner has connections. Looking at some of the custom dresses they did for brides, I felt really confident in their ability to get the design pat down, using all the materials I would be happy with. Beverly, the consultant I worked with, was amazing! I highly recommend her. She's such a sweet person and really made me feel at ease during the process. She had me try on dresses they currently had to see which elements I like from each and noted them down. I also showed pictures and videos of elements from other dresses I wanted for my dress. She's very organized and makes sure to ask about small details. The entire design process is collaborative, with approvals from the client along the way as it's being made. I should mention that the pricing is also excellent! It's comparable to the pricing for dresses pre-made. They are transparent about pricing, plus their alterations are super reasonable. Some places charge $600+ for alterations, but Ana Koi Bridal doesn't charge anywhere near that. You can check out their website for dresses they carry. If you want a custom dress, definitely pay them a visit!
