I had found out about this park through Jacksonville Moms. It wasn't far from our house, about twenty minutes, and it is tucked away in an older neighborhood. We were able to find one parking spot, as the lot was filled with cars. It appeared that a lot of people bring their children here after school. There were pavilions with picnic benches, a playground, walking trails, and workout stations. We took a walk around the park checking out the small garden and the workout stations before coming to the playground. My husband was able to sit with our dog while I played with our son on the playground. There are swings, slides, ride ons, monkey bars, and more. We played for about 30-40 minutes before leaving. It was a nice park to visit and tucked away from the busyness of San Jose. read more

Elizabeth "Betty" Wolfe Park is a fantastic little park nestled in the middle of a neighborhood. It has a pleasant walking path with various Fitness stations along the way. It also has a kids playground and a little climbing wall. I also really like the water fountain that is in the middle of this park. They have benches throughout and a few pavilions for anyone that just wants to chill for a bit. They also have a little grill if someone is so inclined to do a bit of grilling. I am glad that I stumbled across this little park in the middle of nowhere. I guess more appropriately, in the middle of a residential neighborhood. You won't see this park driving down a main road. Which is a shame for those travelers. However, I am sure that this little community likes to keep this little secret to themselves. When I was there on an early Tuesday afternoon, the park had a nice cross section of different ages just enjoying the park. There were young parents pushing their kids in the children's play area on the swings and they were older people just chilling on the benches enjoying a nice Tuesday afternoon. We also had a few people and either their thirtiess or firties taking advantage of the walking park. I enjoyed my time in this little hidden gem. I will give it five stars overall. read more

Just needed a place to walk around and get fresh air for lunch. Found this hidden gem. They have a playground, walking path, benches and picnic tables. The best thing is the workout equipment and they're modified for wheelchair use.Bring your own bleach wipes!!!! read more

I love this park tucked away in the nice little neighborhood of Pickwick. They have a park for the kids in front and a spot for the adults to walk around. There's also a cool butterfly garden there in the back read more

For those that don't know, this is one of those parks that is like a quiet island in the middle of the ocean. Getting here is a bit awkward because you have to drive through a neighborhood in order to get there. it's quite a nice place to bring your kids, dog(s), or just yourself. The park features a nice short loop for walking which is approx .25 miles long. This park has two grills and six tables and a very large playground section for all child ages to play on. It also features 3 rock climbing stations. In the back section of the park, there are 10 Life Trail sections meant for ppl aged 50+ to exercise or stretch out with. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Mandarin not far off the main strip of San Jose Blvd. Most who live in the Pickwick Park Community who of its whereabouts which is why it is so peaceful. I can remember this place from when I was little and it was nothing like it is today. It has definitely changed fro the better. It is a perfect place to bring your kids to play outside and not have to worry about traffic. It is also a nice outdoors spot to bring your lunch and get away from the office for a while (which is what I do often). I recommend this place for families for obvious reasons, but even if you don't have little ones running around you can still take advantage of the nice walking path that circles around the perimeter. read more

I brought my recently turned 5 year old here on a sunny Sunday afternoon for the first and last time. She's an only child so I figured we'd go to a park where she can socialize with other children outside of VPK and daycare. Well, that didn't exactly happen. For some odd reason, the children she asked to play with told her that they couldn't play with her. Imagine a child trying to rock on a seesaw by herself and you having to explain to her that she needs another child on the other end. Then, when she finally gives up trying to rock by herself, two children get on it and play properly. She played alone the entire time, and finally, asked me to play with her (obviously, I'm too old so I simply twisted the wheel so she could spin on the spinner). We didn't spend an hour there because she wanted to go home. With that being said, this park seems to be best for families who bring multiple children along. If you have an only like I do, I suggest you bring toys that you can play with together. The (non-friendly) atmosphere of this park wasn't the best for us. I docked two stars for the location (it really is tucked into a corner of a tight neighborhood) and the fact that there are no restrooms, as others have stated. read more

I really like this park for a variety of reasons. 1. It's super close to my grandparents house. 2. It has mini rock climbing rocks. 3. It has a toddler playground and a bigger kid playground set. 4 there is a large field to run around. 5. It was an exercise look with signs with instructions on how to do exercises at each station. 6. It has a doggie water fountain. Cons that I don't like this park. 1. Not as many gazebos or tables as some other parks. 2. One of the kid fountains has been broken for some time now. 3. The playground could use a good pressure washing. Overall, I really enjoy coming to this park because I feel like it's not over crowded and it's not so big where I can't keep track of my child. read more

Great little park with a nice size play area and swings for adults and tots. Plenty of eating areas and even a little covered area with seating, tables and barbeque pit. Bring a blanket, spread it out and veg! Rock climbing section and some pretty decent tall slides. Enjoy a picnic or throw a Frisbee in the more spacious area adjacent to the playground. My kids really loved the rock climbing wall and running from one play set to the other. There's a couple infant swings and a couple regular ones. There is two pavilions and a couple grills and a nice walking path that circles an open area great for football or frisbee. read more

This is a great park. Large boulders for older kids to climb. A good sized big kid and little kid playground with tons of slide options. The teeter Ritter and twirl thing are a bonus too. 2 each of infant and big kid swings. Looks like there is a dog park too and some paths. There is a little hill that some kids ride tricycle down which looked fun. They have pavilions with grills..just no bathroom. there is limited parking but overall a great park and was not very crowded. read more
