Nestled on a quiet side street close enough to the ocean that you can smell it, the library has a unique charm. As you approach the library you notice all the cool stuff outside. A huge old naval cannon sits guarding the lawn, a huge boulder with a plaque on it and a cool civil war statue all demand your attention. They now are displaying an octopus made out of trash picked up from the area. Even if you didn't go into the building this would still be a interesting place. Once you do go inside you quickly realize this is not your average small town library. Cool old grandfather clocks, beautiful artwork, cases filled with cool stuff and a magnificent staircase all conspire to catch your eye. The library was renovated in 2008 with 4,000 square feet added and the architects did a marvelous job. Everything blends together very well and the new area is congruent with the original. Not the cheap, hack jobs that you frequently see on some renovated libraries, this was well thought out. The librarians there were very friendly, knowledgeable, hospitable and just plain nice. Gave me all the information about the library that I could every desire and let us explore as much as we wanted. Of course the facility has all the usual modern items that most libraries have and lots of cozy places to read but we didn't even bother to look at them, we were having too much fun with everything else. Mattatpoisett Public Library makes you realize that a library can be a lot more than just a place to read.

Lovely little library…read more The first library came to Rochester in the late 19th century but the present library build wasn't constructed until 1976. The library and grounds were a gift to the town by Dorothy Bray Plumb in memorial of her late husband, Joseph H Plumb. The building is very pleasant and blends in well with the area. Certainly not the largest library but they make room of the space they have. Stacks of books, periodicals, computers and ever a little telescope are hanging around, just begging to be used. A very pleasant and homey library that invites the visitors to slow down and linger a bit and definitely has a feel of someone's house. And to make the library even cooler, the portraits of both Dorothy and her husband, Joseph are hanging up on a wall to greet and welcome the strangers that come to their library.

I was not…read morelooking to get a Full Time Job but I did know I wanted to either learn some Technical Computer Skills which I never thought I would ever learn at my age so that I could do some part time work somewhere or a Home Business which definitely would need Excel, Word, and make Presentations. I also learned while there they had a 'Medical Terminology Course', which would feed my previous Army Medical background and learn more up to date terms for work at a Hospital or similar area. The many weeks I was there; with the absolutely patient, understanding, and very loving and talented 'Friends' made there; I have made my life ; because of Operation ABLE's Staff much more enjoyable; and made money I never dreamed of. Let us all support this program as long as God keeps us here. They will always be part of my Heart's 'Family' and I wish them well........ A Check is on the way. Well Deserved. The post master is accusatory and passes the buck to 800 number. The employee with the bowl cut plays dumb and generally condescending. Just the worst branch.

This is an ordinary post office, and the staff here have been overwhelmingly great. But like most…read moreother post offices, wareham PO is understaffed. They only really have one person working at any given time, which makes for long (30-45min) wait times in the afternoon when people get off of work. My advice is to go in the morning before other people are out because I've never had to wait in the morning but consistently have a long wait if I go in the afternoon.
