The other flavors are great, but this one is unique and just perfect to me. It's a mix of black and green tea and it's delicious! They sell Kentucky Kombucha at several places around Louisville, and they're usually set up at the Douglas Loop Farmer's Market on Saturdays. It's very common to see almost every shopper with a brown bottle (that looks almost like a beer bottle) in their hand while shopping the farmer's market goods. I have also seen them set up at events around town, like those with Rainbow Blossom or the Organic Association of Kentucky, selling bottles and giving out samples. I love the fact that they do this! I was new to kombucha and having the opportunity to sample the flavors was perfect for me. Now, I know that I love it! I definitely recommended Kentucky Kombucha to anyone that's a kombucha fan and to those of you that maybe think you aren't, or have maybe never tried kombucha before. Give it another, or a first, shot. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Upon opening the door we were immediately greeted with the smell of cat urine, looked to the left and there was a cat wandering around the bar. The bartender was nice enough but low and behold, he sits a beer on the bar after pouring it and we see the cat now walking on the bar, my buddy had to grab his beer quickly as the cat was getting ready to take a drink out of it. And the fish tank, it was pretty gross, it looked like it had never been cleaned. I doubt there was anything living it it but we couldn't tell since the water was a solid green color. Looked thru the window into the brewing area and first thing we see is a bag of cat food on one of the carts in that area. It had to be the nastiest place I have been to for a long time. I would have felt cleaner having a drink in a flying J bathroom. There are other reviews talking about the cat urine smell and the fish tank so obviously the owner couldn't care less. It's a shame as it's a great location, I bet the health department would shut them down immediately if they were to swing by.

They had a variety of flavors available, and since I can't handle caffeine, I opted for two of the flavors: the elderberry tonic and the ruby cascade. They had really fun, natural flavors that all sounded very appealing before a day full of hiking, I'll add. So great placement in that coffee shop! The flavors were tasty. I loved that they aren't the super smooth, no "tang" flavor that too many kombucha companies are going for now. It's fermented - it needs some sour to it. So, thank you for keeping that in there. I purchased them in April and was happy to see that they don't expire till June and they're in glass bottles, so they also have a great, long shelf life.
