I asked for an alternator I paid for it and the guy brought out a…read morestarter and then he refunded me my money back to my card supposedly because it wasn't an alternator it was a starter then I try to go to AutoZone to get an alternator and my money wasn't on my card and the guy in their store informed me that they would put the money on my card immediately so I call my card holder and they told me that the transaction went through and there's nothing they can do about it without the authorization number and that I'll just have to dispute the transaction so I called O'Reilly and they told me that the transaction was voided and there was nothing they could do and hung up! Don't use your credit cards here unless you want them to take your money until it gets disputed because there not capable of giving your money back to you without you disputing it!

This was on a Sunday, the day before the Memorial Day holiday and I was surprised they were open. I spoke with Rodney Conner who seemed happy to help with a great, professional, and friendly attitude. He quickly determined the battery was indeed bad and showed me the results. He gave me multiple options for a replacement and offered to install it. Within a few minutes he had the job done, then offered to check my alternator to ease my mind when I said I was glad it wasn't the alternator. All was good at that point. Before I left, he asked if there was anything more he could do for us and was kind enough to discuss his training with me after I asked about his mechanical background. Surprisingly, he had years of professional training at a renowned school plus many years of personal experience having been raised on a large farm, one that I was familiar with. Couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, professional, and decent person. Having been raised in a family who owned a large garage, I'm normally a bit more critical of mechanics in general; but, I had absolutely NOTHING to be concerned about. Thank you Rodney and thank you Advance Auto for staffing your store with people who possess superior mechanical knowledge. I'll never shop elsewhere.

So my vehicle was dropped off to have the transmission replaced and I was told it would take 2 to 3…read moreweeks to get it done I was ok with that. And the transmission they had received within a few days after getting the truck so no one was waiting on any parts at that point. so we come along week 4 or 5 we were told it would be done possibly at the end of that week. If not the following week it was not done that week so we got pushed onto the next week then did not get done that week then they said it would get done on the 31st. So that Tuesday it was started on and the 31st was Friday. And on Friday morning, I was called And told they had to order parts they would be receiving them later on Friday they would possibly have it done the following Tuesday or Wednesday. Which you would've thought being that we were on week seven at this point of them having the vehicle That they would've made sure to have it done at the latest by the end of the day Monday But no, it got pushed once again. Now they tell me it's done on Wednesday I get my Truck drive it home seems to be fine. The next day I had to go hook up my trailer and go get something. in total was an hour drive but about 30 minutes one way.coming back A couple miles away from my house the truck startsBucking and Iget in my driveway it's having trouble going into drive so it seems to be acting like it's low on Fluid so I say why not check it to see so I check the fluid in the truck It's over 2 quarts low on Fluid and on the receipt, it says they put fluid in it. They dropped the pan on the transmission so they had to have put fluid in it So I don't understand why it would be low. You would think they would've checked it. so basically, after they had my vehicle for eight weeks Kept pushing me off they still could not put the proper amount of fluid in the truck. And yes, I have pictures and I have my neighbor who was a mechanic for years As a second person to prove exactly what I saw. At this point between how long it took them And then the transmission fluid being that low I don't know what to say But the whole situation is completely unacceptable. I have never experienced anything like this in my life And I'm so disgusted with everything I don't have words You would think as long as they had it nothing would've been rushed or anything. Everything should've been perfect At this point, but it was not. I just hope because the transmission was ran low on fluid that I don't have more problems.
