I had a gut feeling it was an easy job but let's let the professional figure it out. Which he did. After the water shut off a lot of debris came out and clogged up the faucet spout filters. Ross removed all the debris and cleaned it out. Lo and behold we have more water pressure!!! He told me he wasn't going to charge me because of how easy of a fix it was. However, when I was a kid, my dad would take me with him to the hardware store, and I would get a lollypop while he and whomever from behind the counter would wander around looking for an eyebolt or the right shade of caulk. Giulio- who I assume is the owner, is easily 10 years older than my mom, who lives in the assisted living up the street. My mom can't be bothered to go to the chair yoga we're paying for, but Giulio went to work. He's not totally mobile, but he knows his s#!t. Whenever I come in, he or whoever else is behind the counter is happy to chat through my issue and suggest something. It's not a Home Depot- so they may not have what you're looking for every time- but they have a lot of things, and it makes me happy to know my money is staying local. Also, side story: One day during the summer, it's like 90, and I am behind a contractor who's getting a bunch of stuff - lumber, rocks...I don't know- but he's paying for it, and he grabs some water bottles for him and his crew and puts them on the counter. Giulio totals him up and says a number; the guy says, "Oh, don't forget these waters". Giulio says, "The town where I come from in Italy has the best water in the world, and it flows right off the mountain. If my father knew I was charging people for water, he'd come back from the dead and strike me down. Those are free." C'mon. How can you not go here first?

The star of the show was Dominick the repairman on site. At first I thought who is this kid they sent over. Younger than my youngest daughter but I was so blown away by his professionalism , work ethic and communication and expertise not to mention his conscientious commitment to getting every step perfect even capping old pipes that I would hire ALD again and recommend them to everyone. Too bad they don't do roofs. My water pressure and suction have never been better and I'll sleep better knowing the leak is finally stopped

The next day my plumber detected the real significant leak in a different valve and fixed it. It was the one driving the flow. Not the one the $605 technician identified earlier.

I'm a business owner and this company doesn't care about your time. I called this morning at 8am and was told They are not able to give me a quote until they come out. So they gave me a window from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. I specifically told them please make sure to come on time because I have other things to do and I just can't be waiting for them all day. When 11:00am rolled around I called them to remind them I needed a long snake to clean the drain just in case they didn't bring it so they won't waste any more time. The dispatcher then said my appointment was from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. now they change the time on me. I was really pissed because they weren't going to tell me if I didn't call. She said she will get someone to me as soon as possible. 30 minutes later they called back to tell me the time has moved up from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. NOT ACCEPTABLE! I wasted almost 2 hours dealing with this company. If they were honest in the beginning I wouldn't even have waited for them and could have called someone else that was more professional about the appointment. read more

Just wrapped up an appointment with Cornelio for a backed up toilet and shower. The situation itself was pretty stressful, but Cornelio made the whole process easier by being absolutely professional and reassuring. We had a sewer backup on new year's day and elite rooter came to the rescue. They got us up and running, suggesting (good idea) to use a camera inside the sewer line. It showed serious problems in the line--roots, old pipes, etc. Their estimate for repair, which required town permits/inspections/bond as well as county permits/inspections. Sometimes these inspections gave with conflicting requirements!. Nonetheless Elite kept to its initial price despite all the delays due to the town, the county, the holidays in between, and changing requirements. I am extremely disappointed with their work. This seems to be the game they're playing - starting with small requests, then insisting on replacing the entire sewer and charging a substantial amount. They pulled the same tactic with me a few days ago, but I opted for a more affordable option. After digging a big hole, my worker informed me that nothing was broken, just some hair blocking the sewer. We could have simply hired a pumper company. I plan to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency to ensure everyone is aware of their deceptive practices. read more

We had an appointment to get our toilet changed. We were told it will be from 10-1pm today. I was surprised that they were on time and arrived even earlier than 10. Jose and his team were very professional and courteous. They wore masks and booties. Jose explained the fees and charges. Mariano Lemus communicates well by both text and phone and was always responsive throughout the process. Visit #1 involved removing bathroom sink faucets so I could have my countertop repaired. During that same visit, Francisco evaluated a leaking shower valve in my guest bathroom. He explained that because of the age of the valve, there was a possibility the wall might need to be opened and the entire valve assembly replaced. However, he first wanted to try replacing the shower cartridges. On visit #2, the bathroom sink faucets were replaced, and Francisco successfully replaced both shower cartridges entirely from the shower side of the wall -- saving me thousands of dollars by avoiding the need to open the wall and replace the entire valve assembly. Visit #3 involved replacing a cartridge in an existing ROHL shower valve. Again, there was concern that if the old cartridge could not be properly removed, it might require opening the wall and removing tile to replace the valve. Mariano and Francisco were able to complete the repair successfully, replace the old cartridge, and now the shower works perfectly. I'm a retired construction superintendent/OSHPD inspector, so I understand construction means and methods and have a very critical eye for workmanship and attention to detail. Lemus Plumbing has experienced technicians who clearly know their trade and take pride in doing things the right way. They are knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and simply excellent plumbers. I selected Lemus Plumbing after reading referrals and reviews myself, and I hope my experience helps the next homeowner confidently choose them for their plumbing needs.

The team at Lemus was able to add the valve and match the appearance of the other plumbers, so I didn't have a Frankenstein monster of a plumbing fixture in my garage. Elmer called and texted 45 minutes before arriving to give me a heads up, which I really appreciated. We have a 35-lb dog who loves to bark (but is very friendly). Elmer immediately said he loves dogs, gave her lots of attention, and she completely stopped barking. Anyone who is great at their job and an animal lover? That's a winning combination. We had previously been told by a general contractor that it would cost $24,000 to rip out the shower and redo the entire bathroom because of the leak. Elmer went into the crawl space, did a thorough inspection, and determined that none of that was necessary. He fixed the issue for $680. I was honestly blown away. Not only that, but he also inspected all of our bathrooms and toilets and gave us honest feedback about their condition. I truly felt like he was looking out for us and not trying to upsell anything. That level of integrity is rare. They arrived at 8:45 AM and had the water heater replaced and leaks patched by 2:30 PM -- all in one day. I was even able to make it to school pickup with no stress. I 100% beg you not to go with this company. The word "discount" in their company name is the EXACT OPPOSITE!! I had a small slow leak in my unused shower that backed up to my closet - it took me quite a long time to identify it. It had caused "electrolysis" Bettina to my copper pipes which was immediately obvious to my other estimates yet discount's estimator couldn't tell me if the leak was from a sink or shower pipe despite the obvious greened copper . SMH they overcharge and wanted to charge 1000$ k just to cut open a 42x30 piece of Sheetrock to access the pipe - This group of owners bought the business from the original owners a few years back, maybe inherited the yelp score +/or good will reputation.... but I experienced other wise. My entire repair was on par with just the access cost with discount plumbing.
