I also took my sweet boy Rusty here for ICU care after my Cedar Rapids vet removed an 11 lb mass with his spleen! My vet's office felt he needed overnight monitoring for complications after surgery, so I transported him there for that. Although my boy did not survive, I was extremely happy with the care he received there. They were in constant contact with me, and answered all of my questions. Their ICU unit is set up very well, keeping staff literally in the room with the patient. I was called even in the middle of the night when complications arose, was made to feel very welcome about visiting, and when my Rusty passed away, their compassion was extremely helpful. They actually performed CPR until we could get there to let our boy go. They placed my husband and I in a private room with him, and spent as much time with us as we needed. We never felt rushed or bothered. They were kind enough let us talk and share stories about our Rusty with them, and that actually helped me more than I can say. Their prices I have found to be much more reasonable than another emergency after hours veterinary office I have gone to that is much closer to my home, but their quality of care and compassion are much greater. I highly recommend!!! 7/19/18...Somehow the above review never was completed to get posted. Well we are here again this evening with our 7 year old boxer Zella who has had bleeding from her mouth. The service here is outstanding, from the front desk staff, to the technicians, to the amazing veterinarians themselves...even in the midst of this pandemic. During the two fumbled attempts to find a vein by the tech, my cat hissed ( something she's never done in more than 10 years of companionship.) Fiona also physically resisted the procedure. I insisted on more sedation and a new technician to set the IV for infusion. A second relaxant injection and a new technician allowed my cat a comfortable journey from this world to the next. A very sad decision tree gave my dear pet a traumatic end of life experience. I am ridden with guilt for having put my cat and me in the Animal Kingdom Clinic's hands.

This was the worst grooming experience I ever had…read more Immediately upon arriving, my dog was fearful. The groomer said this was "because she has alpha energy and the dog can tell". I thought that was weird, but dogs can get nervous so I left her anyway. I came back to pick her up and the groomer doesn't even say hello to me. Immediately she complains and reprimands me because my dog had an accident in the kennel and even shows me a picture of it. I understand that's not fun to clean, but most groomers recognize it's part of the job when you work with dogs. Then she tells me my dog was one of the most difficult clients she ever had. She said she needed another person to hold her down as she forcibly groomed her.... a dog should never be forcibly groomed! Every groomer I've seen in the past said my dog was well behaved. However they always warned me that they don't groom dogs if they are too fearful to avoid making it a traumatic experience. To top things off, I asked for 1/2 inch all over and it was left at least 2 inches long and uneven. Thankfully, I went to another groomer to fix her haircut and I was reassured my dog was well behaved and had no issues. Overall bad customer service and bad grooming standards.

Not only is it traumatic for the animal, but I'm being asked to pay for services I have no idea if they're being done or not. Sitting in a parking lot while it's 90 degrees out yet there's only 2-3 other individuals in the entire building. Customers have no way to express concerns nor communicate with the veterinarian in practice here. There are so many ways this business could attempt to open to humans if they actually cared to and it definitely comes across as lazy. If I wasn't taking my pet here since her birth I would be making a change.
