They were really nice but I made it very clear that I was allergic to gel polish and acrylic so I could only get regular polish done and the lady did my mani pedi but for my French tip mani she used a acrylic brush to clean up the French tip she did......So naturally later that day I had an allergic reaction. Pretty nails but I'm not sure if they know about infection control and how anything can be transmitted through a cut, 4 of my fingers have a deep cut to the skin, I'm not sure if the metal tips of the nail drill were properly disinfected idk what you tell me a cut to the skin is unacceptable, now I have to worry about a posible infection, with all this I was being polite and understandable, I refused any colors or designs I left that place!! First I'll say my nails were decent, this was not my usual nail shop I decided to try the because my nail tech was booked, so I don't know if the guy did nails very often but he struggled a lil bit, my nails are bumpy and not smooth, the shape is not really to my liking I kept having to tell him to file the more because some were wide and some were more coffin shaped which is what I wanted, i was getting annoyed at this point after they were done I'm like sure ok it was Dec 23 when I asked how much he said "umm" and walked away and came back a couple minutes after and said $75 which I thought was overpriced, I went to work that same day and noticed my 2 of my nails were lifting I called the next day Dec 24 and asked to come and have them fixed, I went in and he fixed them them blamed it in my nails being too long which I called bs, I've always had long nails and NEVER have the done this anywhere I have went to get my nails done, the next day (Dec 25) 3 of my nails were lifting at this point I'm wanting a refund $75 on nails that should be intact for at least 2 weeks as of today (Dec 26) a nail literally lifted off NO EFFORT. They did less than okay. Overall from far away they look good. The two nails are supposed to be whitish and sparkly instead they're tinged pink from the top coat. The shape is okay but a little sloppy. I feel like my nails underneath are damaged. And the top shiny coat on my nails is peeling and chipping. Earlier I got my pedicure. The lady who did my toe nails was rude. Obviously she can hardly understand English and more so speak it, ergo she doesn't understand what I was trying to tell her about my toe nail. Paid $25 and my toe nail (the reason why I went there) still hurts because she didn't take out the dry skin that's causing it. She made me feel stupid by telling me that she knows what she's doing and the process of doing the pedicure. Will never go back to this place again. read more

I was shocked when I checked out. I've been here for years so never checked prices. I was charged 38.00 just to fill the pink! For 12 dollars more I could have gotten a whole new set. I was looking to get my nails done in the Nederland area and there really is not a lot of options on a Sunday afternoon. My friend recommended that I go to this place in the mall because it is open on Sundays. I found it and it was packed! I was asked what I needed and told to pick a color. I sat at a pedicure chair for about 20 minutes waiting for someone. Finally one of the manicure ladies was free. She seemed to be managing the place I think ... she was the one that greeted me and asked me what I wanted. As she started doing my nails I noticed that she was constantly looking all around. I get what she was doing... there were people waiting and she was managing who goes to who next and when. BUT she was doing this all while doing my nails. There were times she was filing or buffing or painting and not even looking down at what she was doing ... this made me feel very uncomfortable. At the end of it the manicure was ok but not relaxing at all. I then waited for about 20 minutes for a pedicure chair to open up. The girl that ended up doing my pedicure did a great job. I showed her where one of my finger nails go nicked and she ensured it got fixed. My pedicure is still good almost a week later, but my manicure ... omg .... it started changing colors on me! The top coat they put on changed after about 24-36 hours. I had chosen this OPI grey color, which is an odd color, but I like it. The thing is whatever the top coat the manicurist put on changed the color to like baby diarrhea green/grey/brown ... it really is yucky looking. I am not sure if this happened because of the experience I had with her not paying attention or maybe it was a bad bottle or it is always possible I got into something. I don't think it was me honestly. I have had my nails done tons of times and this has never happened. Anyway - I feel like this place might be hit or miss. If you find someone here you like stick with them every time you come if you can. I noticed that some women would come in and have an appointment with someone specifically. Since I don't live in the area I will not come here again, but even if I did I would probably go somewhere else. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would the lady called me retarded then she messed it up and said it was me I told her if she could cut it she only cut one nail so I had to cut them myself she was being so rude and wanted to charge more than she said it was the nails didn't even dry right I was drying them for thirty minutes and once I left they were even more messed up she didn't cover all the nail and they are not smooth when I went to pay she started screaming at me I wanted to curse her out and roast her eyebrows but I didn't now that I'm typing this she just past me read more

Absolutely rude people. Each time I've had my nails done or filled, they break within five days. Then when you go in to have it fixed and they don't have the color you used before, they paint the one nail a different color and they do it terribly. I'm giving this place a one star. The lady at the front desk was really nice, she got us seated and gave me and my best friend drinks of our choice. The real problem was the two nail techs. The lady working on my feet kept yanking on skin on my toes and left a mark on the side of my toe. when she was painting my toes she left some on the side of them, when I pointed this out to her she kinda of just smiled and waved at me and completely ignored me telling her. I had a pedicure done and the man cut both of my thumbs. When he was finished my nails were uneven and I had glue all done beside my fingers and the powder stains on my hand. He got mad when I called him over there to fix it. Needless to stay. It was 60 bucks wasted. My best friend got an infection on her pinky finger and her middle finger was cut all the way around. The cuticle oil burned. I recommend going to Tip and Toe in Parkdale Mall if you are looking for a good salon!! read more

I've been going to Elite Nails for years; Tracy is the best! There is always someone available to take care of you. They can get busy on the weekends, where an appointment may be best. They always do a fantastic job in a timely manner. Lynn also does a super pedicure. I used to get Shellac but now get the Dip which is supposedly healthier. Haley buffs beautiful nails for those of us that are taking a polish break. I have found everyone friendly and professional. They also do a good job waxing. It's so nice to be at the mall; you can pick up a Starbucks coffee or walk before or after getting your nails done & window shop. read more

I am actually pretty sad with my experience today. I recently moved back to the area after being gone for nine years. I saw this salon in the mall and it looked awesome from the outside. However I went in for a manicure and pedicure and I left without getting a manicure. I sat down and put my feet in the bowl and then the lady started my pedicure. First the chair I sat in should have been marked as not working properly. The air kept getting under the plastic wrap in the bowl. So my feet felt trapped by the plastic. Then the lady started to complete my pedicure without using the stone to take care of the edges of my feet. So I asked about it and when she realized she forgot she started using the stone and it sort of hurt, kind of felt like she was frustrated to have to go back and spend the time giving me the services I was paying for. All in all I will not be going back to this salon. The only reason it is getting two stars is because I liked the color of my nails and the amount of coats that she applied without me having to ask for that many coats. read more

This place is disappointing..to say the least. A few weeks ago I decided to have a "girls day" with my two little nieces (ages 10 and 6). We went to Elite and I told the girls that they could clip their nails painted anyway they wanted. When we arrived there... I think it was the manager that ask us what we needed. She was actually pretty rude and unprofessional from the very beginning. Anyways she told the girls to go pick out the colors and she would be with us shortly. 45 minutes later... She started doing my oldest nieces' nails finally. You girls through my niece told her she wanted all her nails painted one color but on one of her fingers she wanted a design. The lady ignored her request about the design . So I said something about it... And she still didn't acknowledge it. Anyway...she went on to the other niece of mine to paint her nails. She was actually very rude with her. This is my six-year-old niece and I guess she accidentally bumped one of her nails before it was dry and it ticked off the lady because she had to fix it. And she got so mean with her that she brought tears to my nieces eyes. At this point I was finished with this place. I told my nieces to get up and we were leaving. I will never go back again. Matter-of-fact I thought my stepmom a year for the last several years for her birthday Christmas is Mother's Day... Never again! I feel embarrassed that I've been getting her Such a crappy gift now that I know how this place is ran. Anyways... It takes a lot for me to leave a negative rating on a business....
