My wife and I attended a wedding this past weekend (9/17/16) at The Cliffs at Glassy. We live in Tryon, NC and didn't want to drive there for the wedding and back after the reception. In addition, we had never been to The Cliffs and were not sure where it was and how to navigate the winding road leading up to the resort. Having Limo Zen in the area was a blessing. We easily set up the reservation online and received a prompt reply from Heather confirming everything. A few days before the event she sent me the driver's name (Joe P.) and his contact number. On the day of the event I called Heather to confirm everything (because I'm a little OCD about plans and schedules). She confirmed that Joe would pick us up at 3:15 PM. At 3:10 PM he pulled into our driveway. PERFECT timing! The vehicle assigned to us that evening was a new black Cadillac Escalade. Joe has the AC set low (it was a hot day) and bottles of water for us. He was a delight to have a driver. Joe, we learned is a recent transplant to the area from Upstate NY so my wife and I (both native Tar Heels) had a lot of fun talking with him. Although only in the area a short while, Joe knew exactly where we going and the shortest route to take. We arrived right on time. After a beautiful wedding and wonderful reception, Joe picked us up at 9:30 PM (again perfect timing). We have used UBER, limo services and executive cars a lot when traveling in large cities and we can say Limo Zen (including Heather and Joe) are as good as any big city transportation service. I hope Limo Zen has a long and prosperous future in the WNC & Upstate SC area because we really need top level transportation services. Thanks Limo Zen. I'm sure we'll be using you again.

We used them for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration to take us from a mountain house in Brevard to downtown Brevard and back. We reserved the stretched Hummer limo, and despite the steep terrain, John, our driver got us around with no problem. He stopped, and took picture of our entire group at an overlook and made everything top notch. I would highly suggest them for your next event.

We asked for a quote through their website, in writing, as they ask and our info was entered correctly. When they sent us a quote it ended up being for the wrong date (on the heels of originally quoting the wrong vehicle). When we ultimately uncovered that the quote was for the wrong day, they told us the vehicle we wanted was gone and the only solution was a bus. If they had simply honored their quote for the other vehicle (we asked) we would have been happy, but they insisted that bc we were getting a bigger bus, they had to increase the price (75% higher than the quote). They get 1 star instead of zero because at least management had the decency to call me to talk it through and offer a small discount, but ultimately that's the only positive. Our biggest frustration is that their quotes state very clearly that they are good for 48 hours. We called to reserve within that timeframe, yet we were told that while the price holds, their ability to deliver the car does not. What use is holding a price on a good or service you don't intend to deliver?

I was therefore not aware that I was actually renting from Sweetheart Limousines. After researching that address, I discovered that the business was Sweetheart Limousines. I then researched Sweetheart Limousines and found poor reviews concerning the company's vehicles and services. At that point, I had already made the non-refundable deposit and signed the contract. Because I was concerned about the reviews I had found, I took the initiative to contact Sweetheart Limousines directly approximately two weeks before our event. I explained to them that I had seen poor reviews regarding their vehicles and services and specifically asked questions about their business practices and for assurance that we would not experience those same problems with our reservation. Approximately one week later, and two days before our scheduled event, Sweetheart Limousines contacted me to confirm the reservation. During that conversation, I again took steps to ensure that the vehicle being provided would be acceptable. I specifically asked them to send me photographs of the actual vehicle we would be receiving, including photographs of both the exterior and interior. Sweetheart Limousines sent me photographs of the vehicle. Based on those photographs, the vehicle appeared to be in decent condition, so I did not have reason at that point to believe that the vehicle provided on the day of the event would be substantially different. Unfortunately, the vehicle that arrived for our reservation did not match the photographs that had been sent to me. As I explained over the phone, the vehicle that was sent was unacceptable and did not meet the standard I reasonably expected based on the service I booked and the photographs that were provided to me in advance. I personally inspected the vehicle, along with multiple passengers who were scheduled to ride in it. The vehicle was in poor condition. As it approached, the engine could be heard squeaking. I also have photographs showing areas on the top of the vehicle where the paint was peeling. The interior of the vehicle had a very strong cigarette/smoke odor and a foul smell that was so significant that some of the passengers were unable to continue riding in it. Given the condition of the vehicle, I was immediately concerned about proceeding with the booking. I also personally observed the driver when he arrived. his overall appearance was very disheveled and unprofessional. His shirt appeared dirty, there was dirt underneath his fingernails, and he had a noticeable foul odor. Immediately after arriving, he began smoking. I contacted Randy with Sweetheart limo and explained the condition of the vehicle and requested that it be replaced. He told me that there were no other limousines available but that there was a van available. I made it very clear to him that I needed the replacement vehicle to be in significantly better condition than the vehicle that had been provided. Randy then told me, in substance, that if the condition of the vehicle he had sent that day was unacceptable to me, he did not have another vehicle that was better than it. At that point, I had no reasonable alternative other than to cancel the remainder of the booking. Despite these efforts, the vehicle provided on the day of the event was materially different from what had been represented to me. DO NOT USE. Would give 0 stars if possible.
