We really had no firm ideas of our own regarding how to develop the backyard, but Brandon came out and gave us some really fantastic design options. After consulting with other businesses, we decided to go with Dream Green Landscape. After we explain to Brandon exactly how we would like to use the backyard, he came up with a perfect configuration that combined pebble, concrete, and succulent plants. Brandon sent us all of the potential plants we could use, but we ultimately trusted his creative vision and allowed him full reign to pick whatever he thought would look best. Brandon has an impressive crew that came out and did the work alongside Brandon. They laid irrigation, put in the plants, the ground cover, and the concrete. The final product is amazing. We love our backyard, and with Brandon's efforts, it has been transformed into a wonderful serene environment that we enjoy spending time in. Brandon warranties all plants for 6 months, and when a few plants didn't look particularly healthy, he came out and replaced all four of them no questions asked. I've hired plenty of contractors in my day, but the real test of customer service is how well they treat you after you've parted with your money. Brandon was just as responsive and customer service oriented in replacing these plants as he was in getting our business in the first place. Several of my neighbors who are considering similar projects have viewed and loved the work Brandon did in our backyard. They are currently working with Brandon on their own projects. We've been so pleased we're considering now removing the grass in our front yard and having Brandon put together a design to replace our front grass with drought resistant landscaping. I can't recommend this company enough. Brandon is a true pro and a credit to his craft.

We really appreciated that he lent us his creative input and helped us figure out what we really wanted without pressure. We went back and forth a bunch and he was great. The whole project turned out so great that we're having him come back for the backyard.

Scarlett Landscape & Design isn't a company--we've decided they're family…read more We met Jeremy Scarlett in 2021 when he turned our blank Santa Barbara backyard into a living postcard: a beautiful string light lined fire-pit, next to a picturesque outdoor dining experience and completed with 4 raised garden beds, and plant selection to great that the neighbors asked for the blueprint. Two years later, a quick front of the house refresh became a master class in precision--same crew, same pride, zero corners cut. Fast-forward to 2025: a different contractor just punched a pool-shaped hole through our paradise. One call to Jeremy and the Scarlett crew showed up like superheroes in sun hats. They surveyed the pool demo and made sure that our paradise will return to its former glory, if not, even better. What sets Scarlett apart? One crew owns your job from demo to final bloom. They know our Frenchie, Madeline by name name, and which succulents sulk in afternoon sun. They treat our soil like it's their own inheritance. Jeremy himself still walks every jobsite, pencil behind ear, asking, "Will this make you smile in five years?" The answer is always yes. If you're tired of landscapers who vanish after the invoice, hire Scarlett. They don't just install beauty--they protect it, perfect it, and hand you the hose with a grin. Five stars aren't enough. We're already saving for the next excuse to call them back. -- David, Alexandra & Madeline The Frenchie, Santa Barbara, CA

Scarlett's Landscaping did a great job on my back patio. Living in a condo, I have a small patio…read morearea that lacked privacy, functionality and character. It had an ugly view of a retaining wall, drainage gutter, and parking lot. It also had a beautiful tree that was leaning and had a fence awkwardly placed around its trunk. When heavy rains, felled this tree and ripped out the fence, it was time to finally address this disastrous area. I met with owner Jeremy and landscape designer Jason to help reimagine my patio. They addressed my concerns and wishlist and came up with a great design. The work crew, led by Ray, was outstanding. Every one of the guys on the crew, Javier,Chris, Dewey, Juan, Andy, Frank and Rolando were professional, courteous and respectful to us, my neighbors, and mindful of the HOA rules. Their work ethic and work product were outstanding. The old cracked concrete was replaced with beautiful pavers and upgraded drainage. A Hoff Solitions privacy screen with class a fire rated Timber-Tech planks was placed in front of the concrete block retaining wall and is fully removable if needed. I have more functional seating with a garden wall that allows for some plantings and doubles as extra seating. My Zen boulder fountain was set in ground with accent lighting. A covered pergola was added to define a nice outdoor seating area. A beautiful and functional barbecue surround was built to create a built-in look for my barbecue cart and the surround also provides privacy from the parking area.Landscaping and irrigation were also added along my fence. Because of the increased functionality of the space, it feels larger. My back patio is so much more enjoyable and charming now and I couldn't be any happier with the final outcome. These pictures really do not do justice to this beautiful space. Scarlett's Landscaping may not be the least expensive, but they provided great communication, work ethic, workmanship, management of details such as all permits and inspections, follow-up post completion, and most of all, peace of mind that my project was in the right hands. I had a great experience working with them and I highly recommend them. Here are some before and after pictures.

Reading all her five star reviews on Yelp, and looking at the pictures, I knew I had found the right person. I was not disappointed when I began the process. Diane is an amazing landscape designer, who's insight, knowledge, and professionalism is so hard to find. She was there at each step of the process, making sure the job was done according to plan. I made a few changes along the way, and Diane was very accommodating with my ideas. I choose to use her installers, Raul and Daniel, and I was very pleased with their professionalism and work ethic. I continue to use them to keep the garden looking great! Diane is excellent and with that you may have to wait to get on her schedule, but trust me it is worth it!!!

Working with she and her installation…read moreteam headed by Daniel has been one of the easiest and satisfying home improvement endeavors we have tackled. Diane has experience with native plants and succulents. She is very environmentally conscious. And her deliverables are amazing and a great value for her cost. She provided a detailed graphic of the plans as well as PlantMaster files. PlantMaster is an amazing program offering huge amounts of data regarding the plants in your plan. Our front yard was dead grass when Diane started and you'll see from the photos how it has been transformed to a water wise design with incredible plant and succulent choices. She followed the requirements needed for the state rebate. Her landscaper Daniel and his crew did an amazing job and continue to stay in touch helping us learn how to care for the new plants. On the day of planting we saw multiple butterflies! That quick! Our back slope is monstrous at 4400 square feet and quite steep. We honestly wanted to keep the design simple to save on costs and Diane honored our wishes. But even her cost-efficient design turned out so beautiful! I cannot wait for the foliage to grow and the seasonal colorful flowers to bloom. Diane recommended gorilla hair mulch for our steep slope to help with weed control. We had never heard of it but it has held steady with our recent rains and wind. We were concerned about using regular mulch because we have a pool and didn't want it blowing into it during winds. I especially loved how she incorporated a succulent rock garden into the plan. Daniel and his team worked tirelessly over a few weekends to do the install. I was so impressed with how quickly they were able to finish such a huge project. We had multiple bids and Diane and Daniel were extremely reasonable. I especially appreciated how Diane offers to select the plants and pebble/stone/boulders and come during installation day to place them. One story about Daniel. We calculated via the internet how much mulch we would need (22 cubic yards). He told us that the calculations are not always correct that that we should start with 9 cubic yards which was one delivery. We had enough! We saved so much money with his expertise in this area. Diane and Daniel were also very patient with me during installation. I would see a plant or boulder in one area and request it to be moved and there was never any hesitation but to honor my wishes. Okay this is a long review but very good people deserve very good reviews with lots of detail! Thank you Diana and Daniel for a job so well done.

Our salesman Jay was very easy to deal with, was extremely patient and polite and explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. Their workers showed up on time, were respectful of our property and our new driveway looks amazing. Joseph, one of the supervisors was terrific and made sure that everything was going as promised and promptly addressed any concerns we had. David Rinker, our design consultant came out within a few days to review some of our ideas and suggested some of his own that we incorporated into our plan. We reviewed materials with him, and he came by a few days later to drop off some samples. Before signing, we had a few modifications to the plan that he was able to quickly modify. Throughout the whole process, he was always very communicative via text/calls even on his days off. Once I was transitioned over to Joe, our project manager, he was super friendly and walked us through the exact process. I told him that I had a birthday coming up on June 5 (this Saturday) and was hoping to have everything completed by then (a month timeline). They said I'd be cutting it close, but they ended up finishing everything a week earlier! I ended up getting a pergola that needed to be anchored to concrete footings, and ended up having System Pavers handle that for me. Joe even came back just to drill the holes for me so I can bolt down the pergola. The white glove treatment I received throughout this entire process was VERY appreciated! Rich, the territory construction manager, also became involved with the project. Given his role, I wouldn't have expected him to be so communicative with me and answer my questions. As a first time home owner, I knew nothing about the process but all three employees were very eager to walk me through every step. Couldn't be happier with System Pavers, and will be recommending them to all my neighbors, friends, and family!
