Thrilled to make this the tenth out of ten five-star reviews! We had a chair that we'd had for a while and hadn't, after several tries over the years, found the right person to do it. You know when you simply don't click with someone when you are talking about your ideas and they aren't listening? So the chair hadn't been done. For years. After seeing Elite's reviews here on Yelp, we decided it was time to talk to José to see if we would have a better experience. And we did. We started by sending photos to him so he could give a quick estimate. We then took the chair in to confirm the estimate and pick fabrics from his numerous books. We talked about a number of options for both upholstery and refinishing of the wood arms/legs. When we weren't able to make a decision there, he let us bring some home to check colors and think. We picked one and sent a quick email. About two weeks later, we had a new chair. José delivered it to our home and even offered to make an extra pillow with the leftover fabric. We were thrilled with the communication from the first contact, the discussion about fabrics, timeline, and prices. We are thrilled with the chair, which we've had for a few days and have sat in every day. We will undoubtedly return to Elite if have other needs and recommend you do the same. read more

Like most people that have provided reviews, we had a great experience with Elite Interiors. I needed 17 chairs reupholstered for my employer in Downers Grove. Jose explained our options in great detail and they have a huge selection of fabrics to choose from. The entire job was finished quickly and expertly. We were promised a quick turn around time as not to disrupt our office hours, delivery and the reupholstered chars arrived exactly when promised! They put new fabric on the chair, replaced the padding, tightened the screws and I have to say that our chairs looked incredible! The color and pattern choice was spot on and quality of work was fantastic. Elite Interiors provided an outstanding product and even better customer service. We have several antiques from my grandmother, and a few pieces were in particularly bad shape. Jose and his father not only repaired the furniture, but polished the wood and did a fabulous job with the upholstery. They matched the paisley pattern identically on each dining room seat cushion. We had no problem finding fabrics we liked from the books in the store. They also met a tight deadline (upcoming open house for us) and did so pleasantly. Very well priced, especially for the quality of fabrics and workmanship. We have an additional chair or two and will not hesitate to use them in the future, and definitely recommend them to others! read more

Elite recently recovered the seating cushions on our 35 year old dining room set chairs and we couldn't be happier. Even the best of furniture gets worn and saggy with time and Elite restored the cushions to better than new condition, returning the original contour and firmness, and correcting some shortcomings built in when the furniture was originally made. Service was quick and personal and we were included and kept up to date on progress through out the process. Jose and his entire Family are cordial and helpful throughout the project. I had an upholstery project of 7 barstool cushions. I sought a few quotes. Elite Interiors gave me a respectable quote, and the Manager & craftsman, Eduardo, encouraged me to visit the same day to demonstrate the quality of their work. When I arrived, Eduardo demonstrated his decades of experience by completing one cushion in 10 minutes. The cushion was perfect! He quoted a completion date of a week. Actually my cushions were ready for pick up by noon the next work day! I highly recommend Elite Interiors for upholstery for their great custom work, workmanship, friendliness and speed. We had a wonderful experience with Elite and Jose. He was very efficient and flexible. We provided the fabric and in addition to the chair Jose crafted beautiful throw pillows that look great in our home. The chair over 20 years old looks like new and is so pretty. The pillows are a generous size and made very well with quality filling. He is very professional, always keeping us updated and doing what he said he would do in the time frame he provided. Our experience with Elite Interiors was very positive. Very nice people to work with. They reupholstered 2 chairs for my husband's office. The selection of heavy duty fabrics was large and in a reasonable price range. The labor charges were also very reasonable. The chairs were completed in less than two weeks. They look great, and the inner construction and materials has made them very comfortable. They look and feel better than new! I have a lazy-boy chair that fell apart on me which they will not honor to repair anymore. So I looked up a upholstery shop & found interiors. What caught my attention that they in-house estimates & pick-up & deliver when finished. Jose came to my house to estimate my job & quoted two different ways for repair with no pressure. We love our custom kitchen banquette that Jose' Jr. and Jose' Sr. did such a great job building and installing. Elite made it easy to obtain fabric swatches based on the type of material we were looking for. They came out quickly to measure and when I asked for a short turnaround time to accommodate a dinner party they came through - coming back when the fit wasn't perfect. Cost was fair and comparable. They did a great job reupholstering my dining room chairs. They removed the broken caning on the back of the chairs and added a fabric back. I provided my own material but they also work with 3-4 vendors for fabric. They responded quickly to my inquiries, picked up my chairs and delivered them back to my home within 3 days. Jose was such a great help in problem solving for us. We had a large hole in one of our favorite chairs which we thought would have to be completely re-upholstered.
