We knew nothing about Aurora Upholstery but decided to stop in the store. We showed them a picture of one of the 6 chairs we wanted upholstered. They gave us a price (excluding material) to do the work. We picked out material and ironically, they had it in stock. We accepted their price. This past Monday, they picked up the chairs. The very next day, they called us to let us know the chairs were done. The chairs were delivered that afternoon. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. I had an old chair that I loved but was in desperate need of reupholstering. After calling a couple of people recommended by the furniture store where I purchased the chair, I stumbled across Aurora Upholstery on Google. From the first call, they were very helpful and responsive. They answered all of my questions and we scheduled a time to come in to look at fabric samples. Once the fabric was ordered, they came and picked my chair up to save me the trouble of having to borrow a truck. It was finished within two weeks, including a couple of extra pillows they made with the same fabric. They brought it back and even carried downstairs to save me the trouble. We were fortunate and caught them at a time when they could do our 6 chairs (they picked up the other 4) in an less than 3 weeks! They had many books to select fabric swatches from- it was an easy process for us! They treated these tired chairs so well and their work on each chair is excellent! They redid a simple rocking chair custom built by my grandfather for my mother probably in the mid 1930s. It had been redone a couple of times over the years by my dad. The fabric and trim work show amazing skill and care. read more

Our 12 year old leather couch had flattened in the middle and the fabric behind and around the seats had torn. Aurora found 4 springs that needed to be replaced and one of the wooden support beams was broken. Aurora fixed the springs and board and replaced all the foam. I bought a chair from Lazy Boy which had been discontinued, so I got the floor sample. I could not have it done in the fabric I wanted so I contacted Alex. I ordered the fabric I wanted from Lazy Boy and brought the chair and fabric to this company (they would have picked up). I just received my completed chair from Aurora Upholstery. I can't say enough about the workmanship on my completed chair - it looks amazing. I had contacted Alex while they were working on the chair to inquire if there was enough fabric for pillows. They were able to craft two 14 inch pillows (with cording) which Alex returned with my chair. Don't hesitate to use these guys. Our puppy bit a hole in the cording on one of the cushions on our couch. I brought the cushion in to their shop and they fixed it by the morning. They told me that there would be a small wrinkle in the material when it was repaired which I was ok with. When I picked up the cushion, I couldn't find the spot that they fixed. They found matching fabric, and patched it, and it looks absolutely perfect, smooth and wrinkle free. It looks WAY better than what I expected! Very reasonable price, very quick and friendly. Alex and his father, Jose, reupholstered a chair for me recently and did excellent work for a very fair price. I received a quote from another upholsterer in St Charles that wanted a couple hundred more to do the same work plus $60 for pickup and another $60 for delivery. Alex was very accommodating; he picked the chair up and dropped it off at my work for no additional charge.
