Lamb gyro and fries
Krystal A.

I was in search of a food truck for lunch, when the person in the window lured me in with a sample of the gyro meat. I tasted and liked it, so decided to order the gyro platter, which comes with a a generous portion of seasoned fries. The service is friendly and quick. The food was fresh and piping hot. Total cost was under $9. All and all, a pretty good food truck.

Solid food truck with excellent service. Meal deal is a large pita with seasoned fries and drink for 10.00. Great value. The have lamb, beef, chicken shawarma and pita in a range of options. This is a go to food truck with its fast service, cheerful people, delicious products and reasonable prices.

Crazy overpriced. 33 dollars for a burger and a very very (very!) small plate of chicken over rice.

An Italian sandwich the size of Texas... sign me up!…read more I went into this market when I was exploring Georgetown one day and I naively ordered an Italian sandwich and once they received it I realized it was big enough to feed a family. I found the cutest little park bench and decided to dig in. Needless to say I had left overs but I could have found a way to eat this whole sandwich because it was that good! Every topping was homemade and you could tell. Def a must stop in DC.

The sandwiches looked epic and the photos of the place looked adorable for a local joint. We walked over from our hotel in Georgetown and were overwhelmed by the sandwich choices. Caught between the Grinder and the Pastrami, we went with the employee's suggestion for the latter. About 5 minutes later we were handed a wrapped sandwich the size of a football. We found a quiet spot to unwrap and enjoy it and dug in. Frankly, I wouldn't order it again, and I think we would have enjoyed the grinder more. It was just a huge pile of meat on pumpernickel bread with mustard. Flavor was meh. Neither of us was overwhelmed for nearly $25. Props for the cute European goods in the shop, though, and the employees were courteous and friendly. But next time I'll look elsewhere for lunch.

I returned nearly after a year and happy to see improvements in packaging. Love foil wrapping because it does not leak and holds the sandwiches better. I heard good things about their sandwiches. My go to is normally Mangialardo's on Pennsylvania Ave in SE DC or Carl's Subbs on Rhode Island Ave in NE DC. I think I will stick to both of them next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me as a first timer but the sandwich was totally disapointing! NOT worth it, at all. I ordered a 9 inch capicola, ham, and cheese sub on the hard roll. The roll was very good and fresh but I couldn't taste the cheese or meat in the sandwich because there wasn't enough of it. I tasted the bread, the toppings of lettuce, tomato and onions. I decided to deconstruct the sandwich and found exactly 4 very thinly sliced pieces of meat and 2 very thinly sliced pieces of cheese as pictured clearly in the photographs. I also noticed that the they have different prices for the same type of meats. For example, they have a $29.99 per pound Capicola and one for $9.99 a pound. I asked which went on the sandwich and of course it was the cheaper one. That wasn't surprising and getting my sandwich back to the office. I decided not to eat the rest of the meatless sandwich and just take the loss. I wouldn't come back nor would I recommend a friend to try it

I was in the neighborhood for a couple days for work and this shop was only two blocks away. Two things I love- a good sub and a short walk - so it's automatic for me. As long as you're ok dropping $25 on lunch, don't miss this place. Honestly you can probably make this a two part lunch/dinner portion anyway. The subs are big. The toppings are plenty. The bread is perfect. They have my favorite like of drinks, Just Iced Tea, and even Utz Salt and Pepper chips. The music is good but unfortunately no one around to give you any flash art tattoos which seems like a missed opportunity given their decor.

Everything is fresh. The bread is from Cardinal Bakery (bonus). They have several popular and unique sandwiches like The Crunchy Boi. Usually split one with the boyfriend. The Portfino sandwich hit the spot and bursting with flavor in every bite! The sandwich was stuffed with a heap of veggies (mushrooms, peppers, onions, arugula) with goat cheese and topped with lemon aioli, delicious! The Monaco roasted veggie sandwich is very flavorful! The sandwich was stuffed with fried eggplant, grilled zucchini, stracciatella, tomato, arugula and roasted red pepper spread. The Parmigiano sandwich with eggplant was more like a Caprese sandwich with fresh mozzarella cheese, greens, tomato, and crispy thinly sliced eggplant stuffed between scrumptious moist Focaccia bread. This isn't a traditional sloppy Joe's Eggplant Parm sandwich (there's no marinara sauce!) While the ingredients were neatly tucked inside and I enjoyed the sandwich, the sandwich particularly was a little bit dry and I think a bit of sauce like pesto or marinara would go a long way. The Nutella Brownie is best eaten at room temperature, it tastes chewy and pretty awful cold. Let it thaw. Note the sandwich shop is now open Mon - Sun 10am - 4pm (it used to be open Wed - Sun and I made the mistake of walking over a mile from work on Tues when it was closed! My husband got the Piccata sandwich, which is a chicken mushroom and caramelized onion sandwich on focaccia bread. This sandwich was honestly a 10 out of 10. It was savory, umami and a little sweet from the caramelized onions. The chicken was really juicy and flavorful--not at all dry. I got the Caprese sandwich which was good, but it could really use a bit of salt. If it was an option to add Bacon, I would've definitely done that. I also wish that they used heirloom tomatoes instead of regular Roma tomatoes. Overall, really great sandwich options and a great place for lunch in the city.

They should use a number system for order pickups because people, including myself, had difficulty determining which order they were serving. Many of the sandwich names sounded alike. My sandwich was kind of small for the price, and it wasn't very filling. It was, however, very good. It was flavorful and packed with flavor. The service was ok. It was nothing special. They did their job and did not go beyond or be overly friendly. All in all, I would recommend checking this deli out for some really good sandwiches.
