Wonderful time at Killer Burger! To be perfectly candid, I had a quite exhaustive day and did not want to spend energy or time outside. I love yeah and I have any events but I just did not have any more wind in myself that day. So when I got to the door and they told us it was an experience that we could come and go I was so grateful to God! Seriously! Best news I had heard all day. The line was obviously long because it's a cute and small place but the line did not bother me at all. I was able to meet two new people both of which were new to Yelp. We got to chatting and even discuss the very popular peanut butter burger. That, I knew, I was not going to try. Lol. We were discussing what we wanted and Kavita and I settled on the Jose Mendoza because he wanted some spice. However, when I got up to the front, the staff member told me that she thought that it was a bit bland and flavor and I got the Bender instead. I got it fully loaded and double the meat. I was desperately wanting to try the milkshake but I knew I couldn't afford the aftermath. I settled on an Arnold Palmer instead. I had to go greet some Elites I hadn't seen in a long time, especially my Diem and Lupe, but then I needed to be on my way. I walked out with Diem we were able to chat it up with Jando a little bit before exiting. I had a couple of bites of my burger in the car and yummy yum yum. A definitely 10 out of 10. It was protein-packed, rich, hearty, and delicious. It came fully loaded so all the flavors were there. The fries surprised me. So delicious. I asked him to make it make them extra crispy and they did just that. Seasoning was delicious. I will say though this evening was packed on quite a bit too much for me but... it wasn't a turn off at all. Fries were still a 9 out of 10. The Arnold Palmer I created was also a 10 out of 10 like the burger. Perfect mix of sweet lemonade and sweet tea but the sugar wasn't too much. All in all it was a pretty complete and heavy meal. A great price point. Great and attentive staff, too. They were hustling like none other while still keeping a smile. Truthfully, we were a very very very large group and none of them seemed overwhelmed. And NONE of them were rude. I truly appreciate it that. Because... it's not easy. I hope for all the success in the world for Killer Burger. They chose a really great location and we know that for it to work in Houston in this industry it's all about location location... and pricing. I hope all their systems are in place as we were participating on their training day a few days before their grand opening. Thank you so much for the hospitality, Killer Burger. Thank you for finding this place, Jandoooooooo and team. Y'all are always so awesome! Literally wouldn't have known about this establishment had not been for you. *Heart*

What a fun Tuesday night getting to preview Killer Burger in the Heights. This was a casual event. Upon checking in with Jando, we were given the menu and voucher to redeem a meal from the hostess. The line moved quick, so we didn't have to wait too long. The staff at the register were very helpful, recommending popular options and explaining the menu to us. We ordered their specialty, the peanut butter pickle bacon with the house season fries and the fun guy with onion rings to share. We also got to pick a sauce and went with the smash and spicy G as recommended. I've never had peanut butter on my burger before, but it was interesting to get to try it. The peanut butter taste was subtle, mostly like because it wasn't spread out evenly or it was overwhelmed by the other toppings. I also got to try half of the fun guy and enjoyed the taste more than the peanut butter pickle bacon. The fries and onion rings were super crispy just how I like it and the smash and spicy G sauce was perf for it. The staff were also very attentive and friendly. I hope the business does well for their grand opening. Overall, this was a great event. Thanks to Jando, the Yelp Houston team, and Killer Burger for organizing and hosting.

Any event that is tied to burgers is always going to be a win in my book! Knowing that they're new to town, and in their soft opening, I must say they did quite great. I went with a 5 bc 4.5 isn't available, and that's only due to a few things I think could be tweeked and they'd be well on their way! Came with a buddy of mine and we didn't know what to expect upon coming in. Greeted by the door with the wonderful Jandito, with a quick check in, and off to the races. Greeted inside by either the owner or manager, she had a great big smile, told us about how the event worked, which is one free meal with fries and a drink. She handed us a menu, and in line we went. We opted to split our meals so we could try more than one burger. The peanut butter burger seemed to be the speciality for the evening, and although, not your typical burger, it was hard to not give it a go. I also opted for the Motley Que, which think of a burger bacon cheeseburger. I got fries and my friend got onion rings, so I feel we were pretty well rounded in our choices. I went for the house lemonade, they also had sweet tea available with PepsiCo Products. I grabbed my drink, some napkins and found a table close by some friends. They'd already started their meals and had great things to say, so I was excited. As we waited for our meals, looking around the restaurant, the staff was buzzing!! Staff in the kitchen were flipping quickly, the cashiers were super helpful, always talking with someone, staff was quickly getting burgers out, bussing tables and making sure we had Everything we needed. Not one person was standing still, they all seemed to be in sync! Now on to the burgers. Great big burger came out, it was huge. Loved the crispy bacon and onions on the Que burger. I opted for bbq sauce on side bc you never know if it'll be good or not. This bbq was good, so on, the burger it went. Here's where I say a few tweeks. The size of the burger patty itself is just right you can also go for a double. The bread was too much for the burger. I love to taste the meat and in this scenario, it was overwhelming so I started to remove the bread as I ate. The bread also was a little rough, not sure if they'd been sitting out, or if they were toasted a little long, but it took away from the star of the show. Over 4 out of 5 for me. The peanut butter pickle bacon burger was my fave out of these two. I didn't think PB on a burger would be, but this just works!! Same thing with the bread I'd want a softer bun and less bread. The peanut butter ratio was also a little more than I wanted, but still really good. The pickles balance out the burger delightfully well, I just wanted more pickles. I couldn't put this one down, so I know I need to come back post opening. This event was well staffed, everything ran smoothly, and I love the vast amount of options available. Thank you Killer Burgers and staff, and to our Houston Yelp Team, Jando!!!

Everything I had was KILLER. Onion rings, Killa Milkshake Killa Fries Killa Conversations and vibes Killa. If you haven't noticed, Killa or Killer is used to describe things to be amazing. Shout out the the girl they called A. You get a A plus in vibes, she gave me Cali vibes! I admire that the owner had his kids with the store shirts on, it made me want to wear one; seriously, I asked one of the members how can I get a shirt? Strawberry Milkshake, with he whipped cream was better than a wet dream. All I needed was a cherry on top. 8/5 The onion rings, were hot and fresh, the batter had a nice crisp that I love. ( I'll love them to be a bit thiner) 9/5 fries was hot and fresh, nice thick cut 10/5. Even once I reach home, they held their crispiness. 10/5! I ordered the Mötley Quē ( Bacon, BBQ, Monterey crispy onions, house grilled onions) with a double patty. I love that the bacon was crispy as I desire, and placed on top of my "to go" burger to assure it's crispy when I arrive home. I ordered mines with double meat, since my guy Lupe mentioned that the bun was thick, felt like more bread than meat (he too had the Peanut butter pickle bacon one instead). Mötley Quē is filling with the single patty, since it also comes with 4 slices of thick nice crispy bacon. I would like to see the patty more smashed, a bit thinner. I'm not sure if they can do this upon request to any burger or if it's just the "smasher" that may be smashed; unsure if that one is a thinner patty. This is something that I would love to know. I will most def be back, still gotta try that Peanut butter pickle bacon burger. I like to the to go boxes, They seem to be designed to get the steam away from the crispness as well as the food hot upon arrival. It might look basic but they're very effective. Grateful to be part of a community where sharing my time and feedback is welcomed and appreciated. I love y'all.

Who doesn't love a fresh juicy burger? Killer Burger is the newest burger chain to hit Houston, and some lucky Yelp Elites were some of the first to preview the first Houston location! Coming into this event, I was expecting small samples of their offerings as the description depicted. But oh no, we were instead allowed a full signature burger combo with drink and side included! Yay! I ordered a double meat fun guy and it was fabulous! I loved the smashed patties! I wasn't a huge fan of the melted cheese, as it was very salty and a bit overpowering. It was tasty, just a bit too dominating of a flavor. The onion rings were nice and standard. I wish I had been told about the seasoned onion rings, but that's okay. The lemonade and sweet tea were nice. I'm glad the sweet tea wasn't overly sweet like a lot of places. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when in the mood for a burger!

First and foremost let me start by thanking Yelp, Jando and Brian the owner of Killer Burger for setting up and hosting this event. I pass by this place almost daily on my way home from the office. I've been curious and excited for its opening. However this "soft opening" was not what I was expecting. From what I can tell this was not just a Yelp elite event. There was also influencers and vloggers attending at the same time. This made the place crowed and very loud. The staff did an amazing job catering to everyone. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and excited to help regardless of how small the request was. When entering I was given a quick run down of the menu and all the options and it was a lot of options. Standing in line trying to decide what to get was cut short as the line was moving quickly. Once I got to the counter and asked what would I like I was still feeling lost. The cashier started going through the options again and I had to stop her. I pointed to a picture and said I'll take that one. Then I was asked additional questions "small or larger", "fries or onion rings", "salted or plain", "special seasoning", "side sauce"? My head was spinning at this point. After all this I sat down and surprisingly my food came out within seven minutes. My first thought was "this was premade" after the first bite I was right. It was a cold burger. This was the famous peanut butter pickle burger. I heard from other people around me their burger was also cold. For me this burger just had too much going on. As I was sitting there and looking at the menu that was my overall impression and then I heard someone behind me say "these burgers are doing too much". The fries were made fresh and had a nice crunch to them. They were also well seasoned. The strawberry milkshake was also very good. Overall I can't see myself coming back here, not with so many other options in the area.

An all Yelp event with burgers and beer, what's not to love. I asked the very nice hostess what was her favorite and she said the fun guy. But, since I'm partial to Blue Cheese I tried the Teemah with Bacon, blue cheese, Swiss fondue, house mayo, pickles & grilled onions. The alcohol situation is pretty good. They have models, bud light, Michelob ultra, Stella and a couple I'm unfamiliar with like all day IPA; Rancho Grande and 2 additional IPA's This place kind of reminds me of Whataburger in that they make the burgers fresh after they are ordered to your specifications! My burger was phenomenal, juicy, full of flavor and popping! My first bite was something special the taste of the pickles, mayo, beef, tomatoes and onions was elevated and pungent spicy and savory flavor of the Blue Cheese! The staff were pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my experience and food at the restaurant. I recommend this restaurant. GN3

Loved this event! I came in expecting samples and got a whole meal. Love when my expectations are exceeded. The food was great and the staff was super friendly and attentive. I got the delicious bender burger. The spicy BBQ sauce, the juicy patty, the crispy jalapenos, and grilled onions paired so well all together. (7.8/10) I also loved the seasoned fries. Crispy outside and fluffy inside. The portion was also very generous, so I got to bring home leftovers. So grateful to the Yelp team for introducing me to this place. I will definitely be back!

Thanks Yelp and Killer Burger for putting together a fun Elite Experience! There's a new burger spot in town and we were lucky enough to preview it. I guess the original plan was for folks to try their peanut butter pickle burger but not everyone was interested in giving what sounds like a strange combo a try. But I'm here to try new things and not everything has to be amazing or life changing so I obviously went with the peanut butter pickle burger. I, personally, enjoyed the burger. I like peanut butter, I like burgers, and I've also had other peanut butter burgers (LA has quite a few options). I thought the peanut butter and pickles went surprisingly well together (sorta like a weird pb and j). I do wish the bun was warm though as a cold bun just felt weird with the rest of the ingredients, maybe it was intended to invoke a like afterschool, quick pb and j? The fries were great though, I enjoyed the seasoning and the crunch on them. I did find the event somewhat... chaotic? There was an obvious line to order but after that it sorta became a bit of a jungle in the dining room. I got mean girls lunch room vibes, not in the finding a specific group to sit with but the lots of people and just lots going on. I've appreciated past events where it seemed more orderly in ways and we got to hear a bit from owners, franchisees, etc. Overall though, I found the event enjoyable. I liked being able to catch up wtih fellow yelpers I haven't seen in a while. It's also good to know there's a burger spot out this way as I will sometimes find myself around this plaza. Thanks again to everyone who helped put this event together and I'm excited to try more of Killer Burger in the future!

Tuesday was killer, burger that is. Located near Sawyer yards in vicinity of Target, this new burger joint welcomed us to its soft opening with a bang. As we walked in we were greeted and given a ticket that would allow us to savor any burger, side and drink. I went with the piece de resistance - the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon burger Try saying that 3 times! Peanut butter on a burger, never crossed my mind, but glad I was able to enjoy it. Thankfully arrived a little early and there wasn't a line, because after I got my burger the place was buzzing. My burger didn't take but maybe 10 minutes to get to me. Friendly and energetic staff helped get me situated and then my lift off to burger space began. The fries were perfectly seasoned and warm, the burger looked like almost too good to be real. But it was well packaged and carefully made. At first bite it wasn't hot or warm, maybe they had some pre-made knowing that they'd be busy. But nonetheless enjoyed every last bite of that burger. Most times the peanut butter complimented and wasn't overpowering, once or twice it felt a little heavy, but nothing that either getting the sauce on the side wouldn't help. They offer beer and wine, I opted for the FreakShow Cabernet in a can. If you're in the area and want peanut butter on your burger or any of their other 12 specialty burgers along with chicken tenders or kids menu, stop on by. They have a $10.45 Smasher Small Combo available all day so if you're on a budget, you can still enjoy specialty burgers. Thank you to Jando, Yelp Houston, and the killer service from the entire team at Killer Burger!

Lani the Front Hostess was very helpful and sweet, Veronica the registrar took my order with a smile! Very helpful and welcoming also! I opted for the Fun Guy burger and regular fries and Arnold Palmer drink with a Rose. The esthetics of the new restaurant were really cool also! I particularly loved the astronaut and the message before you leave the restaurant. Burger was great, fries were not too crispy, not too spicy... cooked to perfection and I made an Arnold Palmer with 1/2 lemonade and tea! Will definitely return so I can attempt to try the Peanut Butter specialty burger, I just really wanted mushrooms today!

First and foremost, MAJOR shoutout to Jando for helping me out for this event! I never got my RSVP or waitlist notification and happened to be in the area with another fellow Yelper who was confirmed for the event so I figured that I would just go. When we arrived, it was busy! I was honestly just expecting to have some of my friend's fries but Jando was able to slip me in once the line died down. THANK YOU! Killer Burger comes to us from the great state of Oregon, featuring their famous peanut butter burger, a one of a kind combination. Immediately scanning the menu, it was clear that they have a lot of choices beyond their signature patty, with several combinations of sauces, grilled onions, pickles, mushrooms, and roasted green chiles for a little spice. So if you've been following me, you know that I do not eat meat so I was thrilled to see that any of their options can be made vegetarian with a veggie patty! YES! I ended up going with the Fun Guy with the veggie patty and a side of the seasoned fries and it was tasty! The bun was fairly thick and fresh and the (veggie) burger had nice flavor and a slight crunch with the sliced pickle topping. I'm somewhat of a fry *connoisseur* and was impressed with their seasoned fries. Thick, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and with a generous coating of seasoning, or what I like to think of as *sparkle* This location has plenty of parking, a nice outdoor patio space and plenty of tables and booths inside. It's worth noting that they are also a Pepsi establishment but have a number of other drink options including beer on tap. Overall, I don't typically frequent burger establishments but was impressed with Killer Burger! Consider me slain!

Killer Burger and Yelp killed this event in a good way The vibe was upbeat, light, casual and fun. Thankfully the parking is abundant and free with no worries of getting towed. I enjoyed a pleasant welcome with details and information on the layout and instructions for the event. While I stood in line it moved quickly without feeling rushed. My cashier was informative and she was friendly. Seating was easy and my table was clean. My PB Burger was made exactly how I customized it Thank you for such a cool experience. Without this event I probably wouldn't have risked trying such an odd burger. Now in the future I can bring friends back to take the risk of trying something different and unique off their menu. Thanks for having me.

What a fun event! Despite the cold rainy weather, there was a great turn out of Elites dressed in…read moretheir best pink outfits. I was happy to finally wear a dress that I've had for over a year. When I first arrived, it was a bit hard to get a drink at the bar, but once we were split into groups, it was better. I enjoyed The Kelly; it was cucumber forward and very refreshing. I also tried the Mezcal cocktail (Ladies in Pink). It wasn't bad, but I'm not a huge Mezcal gal. I wanted to try something different since I tend to go for the same types of drinks. The decor was beautiful and definitely the biggest draw to Postscript. GM, Timothy said the main demographic is women, and it is apparent on their socials as well as their Yelp page. I thought the portraits of Princess Diana and Princess Grace of Monaco breaking through the frames were really cool. I meant to ask Timothy if The Kelly cocktail is named after Grace Kelly, but I didn't get a chance to. The photo ops all around the restaurant were a nice touch. I was in the second group and I ended up towards the back of the line. A few of us had to wait on plates as they kept running out. I didn't get an opportunity to take photos of the food before everyone filled their plates. The biggest thing that I have to mention is the fact that people were taking extra servings of food, despite Timothy asking people to only take one serving. There's always going to be vultures at events, but it's not a good look and frankly it's disrespectful. I did not get to try the Chicken and Hummus and initially the Truffle Flatbread (more on that in a second). I passed on the shrimp since I don't eat shellfish. The food was good, but it wasn't the highlight. I did enjoy the "Deviled Egg" High Tea bite. The Vegan Sandwich was a bit heavy on dill. The slider was good but the ratio of bun to meat was a bit off. At any rate, I'm always grateful for the light bites. Timothy made the rounds to each table and took the time to hear our feedback. When he asked us how we liked the food, we explained that most of us at the table didn't get to try the Truffle Flatbread. Timothy went to the kitchen and asked the chef to make one for our table. We really appreciated that! Timothy also gave us so much background on the restaurant from the pink quartz bar, to the tilted mirrors in the "speakeasy" (private room), the fine china in the bar area, and the champagne booth buttons. He really has gone above and beyond to create a beautiful atmosphere. He has regular customers and said that ladies come for all sorts of occasions like birthdays, bachelorette parties, and even divorce parties! I would love to come back for high tea with my girlfriends. A huge thank you has to go out to GM, Timothy for going above and beyond for us! And of course thank you Jando, Yelp HTX, and the Postscript staff for graciously hosting us!

Tim, the owner was really nice. He gave us all personalized attention and explained his menu. Something not on the menu but you should know is that the place offers exclusive High Tea experience on Thursday and Friday from 11 to 4. Perfect setting. From outside the place looks deceptively small, when u enter, a whole arena opens up. There is a huge bar, with lots of seating all around. Then there is the dining hall, and a little private setting as well. Tim also mentioned that he has hosted a wedding party , I can definitely see it. It can't get more romantic than this..... The bar tenders were the busiest. They needed more of them for a crowd like ours. But a very agile and helpful crew was in and out of kitchens filling, refilling and clearing up as well. Very efficient. I was glad they had atleast 1 vegan dish which I got to binge on. The food was very conveniently placed on plenty different tables so people could move freely around. Menu was hand picked and bite sized so it was easy to eat. It was presented pretty well. Thank you Yelp and Postscript. It was a fun evening.

Upon entering, we were able to grab an array of drinks. The gin cocktail served in the gemstone glass was so pretty and it tasted great. With it being a seated event, I assumed we would be served, but it was a mix of passed food and buffet. I really appreciate my tablemates making sure everyone got to try all of the offerings. Because of the set up of the long table, it wasn't easy for some folks to get up to get food. We kind of took a divide and conquer approach. Some of us grabbed drinks, some went to the buffet, and others made sure that everyone received passed hor d'oeuvres. Teamwork makes the dreamwork! The dishes that were offered were very creative and unique. I tried quite a few samplings. The Roti was delicious. The Summer Salad (watermelon with the crispy onion) was different, but good. I liked the Brussels Sprouts, soup, and wontons as well. It was nice to hear from owner Lukkaew. I didn't realize she also owns Kin De Thai and Thai Tail. It was so lovely to experience the Thai culture through the traditional dance performances. I believe this was the same group that performed at the Black and Gold event at Kin Dee Thai a few years ago. Thank you for sharing your culture with us through dance (one of my favorite art forms)! I had the Oxtail Sliders, the Chicken and Waffles, and the Collard Green Mac and Cheese. The mac and cheese was my favorite! I tasted the Jerk Chicken Wing and it was good, but a bit spicy. I was able to try a few wine samples including the cabernet, rosé, and the sauvignon blanc. It was really nice to walk around and talk to the various vendors in the market. I loved hearing the back stories of the businesses and their passion for what they do. I really enjoyed my conversation with Karis (Ambrosia and Nectar) and J. Christina (Radiant Aura Essentials). Michelin award winning Chef Michael Collantes greeted us personally while we waited downstairs for the main event. So nice to hear about this project as well as his restaurants and other expansions in Orlando and Dubai. Enter HiFi. What an amazing evening! The space is so comfy, cozy. Love the entire concept. Couches, booths and high tops wrapped around an open central bar. Vinyl on the ceiling and a DJ spinning old school vinyl records. Bartenders making the most delicious Paloma-ish mocktails and cocktails with a generous pour according to my fellow Yelp party revelers. So much fun!! Since my hubby and I were one of the first ones up the stairs, we were able to snag a booth with my friend, Mark W., and some of the early samples. The crispy brussels sprouts and the Korean fried chicken skewers from Nyam Nyam were my favorite bites of the night. I missed some of the samples as I shared with my tablemates but still left quite full and satisfied. While I waited for drinks, my husband headed downstairs to check out the food hall. He watched as the chefs prepared trays of food, that were quickly snatched up by hungry Yelpers, while still making food for the customers downstairs. That is a challenge. We actually thanked the chefs on our way out. We will be back with friends to let them share this experience as well. Kudos also to the Yelp Houston team who helped my husband register for the event. We were in Brooklyn over the long holiday weekend when the community event posted and he kept getting a purple dinosaur error, although I was able to RSVP without any issues.
